How big was the Picutre?
I've missed a config-option for uploading files.
the max-filesize is now 4MB
please try it again. and if it not works, load the picture to some image-hoster, so that i can check why it's not working.

In the previous forum software we had different maximum file sizes for different file types. I can remember that for archives it was about 10 MB while it was much smaller for e.g. pictures or torrent files.

Do we have now one limit - 4 MB - for all file types? Is it possible to have different limits for different types of files?

xenforo atm has only one fs-limit for all types.
So yes, 4MB is the overall limit.
We can discuss changing this limit. But i'm not so sure, if this is really needed. Most of the attachements aren't this big :)

Mine were 10mb at the old vb forum
Sometimes I upload/reupload pictures sets in zip/rar files to ensure my links never die
there were others who will like too this but i dont see them active anymore, so its just me then.
10/15 mb should be great.

it was explained fully in the mod section, as it was a bit vague, but it will be looked into

I agree: The average attachment wasn't / isn't that big. :) Still was nice and helpful to have different limits. :(

what has changed wihtin the last hour:

-> Quick-Reply has now a Preview-button
-> Akiba now supports Tags as well as Hashtags (just like twitter & co)
-> We now have Thread-Preview-Pictures (only activated on Torrent & Download-Sections) incl hove-effect, so the preview will get a little bit larger
-> All links now automaticaly get the favicon of the page, if available
-> Subforums are now showing directly and not per "popup"
-> the table-tag is back - more or less. See http://www.akiba-online.com/help/bb-codes for usage & more info
-> Avatar sizes have now ben fixed. Theay are not distorted anymore
-> sticked threads are now marked with a yellow background
-> delted Threads will be marked red. (as a normal user, you won't see them)

nearly all of the changes are only available on Rei (the orange, blue-style), since the Dark one (ed) is somehow not installed correctly :D

more will be coming.

Sticky threads now have a different colour. That's really convenient. Thank you. :)

unfortionately xenforo don't save your own sorting-options.
so everytime you set it up, it's only temporary.
as fas as it's the statement of the developers, this won't change in the near future. But perhaps on xenforo 1.4 they would add the posibility.
Up until now, i haven't found a plugin which saves this :/

attachments have always been there
thumbs not showing, I have not had that many problems
500 internal server error, mainly started this weekend, possibly a server error
karma points info, no idea what that is
Like button, it is the old thanks button
it is members that name threads
tags we will be working on and hopefully getting soon

Hi coolkevin,

File attachments have been showing as links for me on the old board, not with a big (broken?) thumb in the post.
Karma points was the user to user rating system on the old board.
It would be better if the Like button was named Thanks and had a different icon to dissociate from Facebook.
Existing threads have been moved, right? I did not check too many of them but most I saw didn't keep the full name (parts like [DVDISO], [MP4], etc are missing).

Looking forward to getting back on track, thanks for the effort!

may have to look into karma further

I have not had problems with attachments

I do not about the facebook stuff,

existing threads, some may have been moved, but any title changing, has been reverted back to the Japanese characters, but as far as I know the English ones have not been changed

Is it possible to add a scrollbar to the preview? If you write posts which are a little bit longer the layer containing the preview is bigger than the browser window. And as the left top position of the layer is (luckily) fixed and as the scrollbars of the browser window are not affected, you see only the beginning of the preview.

Thanks for the screenshot. For one moment I was really wondering if I did something wrong (despite the fact that you can't do much wrong about pressing a "Preview..." button ;) ). Because I also get a scrollbar in the preview window - if I use the preview in a thread. But it seems to be a totally different story if I use it in a conversation. That was the part of the forum software where I discovered the problem. And there I still don't have scrollbars. :)
Sorry that I haven't been more specific in my post. :( I didn't test it on other parts on the forum software and therefore I thought it is everywhere the case.

ah.
okay.
i've not tested it on conversations (or Thread-Preview)
This are the 2 places, where afaik it doesn't have a scrollbar.
i'll look into this and check if it's necessary to have it in conversations.

As for Threads ... I think it's okay, since you get a feeling how large it will get.
