I wonder to this day why they cannot release 2 versions.. One censored and one normal with x2 the price. It'a win-win scenario. Actressess, Studios and Goverment make more money and fans can watch a true masterpiece without pixelization.. JAV without censorship would be amazing. Perhaps when the level of decensorship by AI reaches a truly high level, censorship will become pointless.

However, as silly as it may seem, the mosaic is essentially an attempt to preserve some veneer of morality or respectability.
Futile as it is, the mosaic practically screams:
“Yes, we’re purveyors of smut—but we do it responsibly.”
If the industry intentionally produced an uncensored version alongside the censored one—even at double the price—it would completely undermine that already-thin claim to moral restraint. At that point, the censorship would be exposed as purely symbolic.
Even if AI eventually perfects the process of removing mosaics, I have a feeling they’ll be stubborn enough to keep censoring everything anyway—forcing people to fire up increasingly powerful processors and waste electricity undoing a mosaic that everyone knows is basically ceremonial. LOL.
Not to mention, the performers get one amusing side benefit: plausible deniability.
“My dick doesn’t look like that!”
“My pussy is prettier and tighter than that!”
The mosaic: protecting public morality and performer vanity at the same time.
And as silly as this sounds, I can imagine a retired JAV performer with kids being low-key grateful that the most intimate details of their body were at least obscured. When you’re trying to move on with your life while knowing there’s still a mountain of old material out there, that little patch of pixelation probably feels like the world’s flimsiest moral life raft in a sea of judgment.
