If anyone confused, sometimes I start at the end of the movie. Keeps things interesting when I'm translating.

I agree it's looks a little suspect with only 213 lines, but I had a look at the raw Chinese SRT and it also has 213 lines.

I've found that some older chinese subs I've worked on will sometimes miss the lines here and there, like the person couldn't be bothered with the low/whispering dialogs.

chinese sub is machine translating to chinese lang for sure .
i bet 50000/60000 chinese sub out there are done by computer.
of course some of them are create by human.
so i never wonder why they have 300 line in 2 hours movies.
i never wonder how they can create subtitle after tons of movies just released for 14 day .
if they are use human for doing sub so i can say there must have superman in chinese.

tabi bunların bir kısmı insan tarafından yaratılmıştır.
bu yüzden 2 saatlik filmlerde neden 300 satır var hiç merak etmiyorum.
14 gün boyunca vizyona giren tonlarca filmden sonra nasıl alt yazı oluşturabileceklerini hiç merak etmiyorum.
eğer sub yapmak için insan kullanıyorlarsa, çince süpermen olması gerektiğini söyleyebilirim.

Yes, I understand the low talking and bad audio. It's frustrating. But sometime skipping them all will kill a sub.

I rarely feel good posting anything I have, and that's over 800 lines lol So I know I could never give the forum only 213 lines and say here's a sub.
But I don't blame the poster, he/she is probably new and just giving back to the community.

I think subbing is not a foot race, even those who speaks the language would still take weeks to translate/sub/edit /and re-edit

If I give you a sub, I want you to feel happy to understand things in the movie, even if I make tons of mistakes. What's the point of half-assing it haha

Yes that's seem to be true. You will have some talking in the second half. At least the movies I seen.
Yes in the first half, you're getting story setup, talking, and some erotic scenes. Like I said before, I seen a movie take 30 mins before there was any sex lol
But its Av and I appreciate the stories too haha

The son barely speaks, and the mom doesn't say much during their sexual trysts either.
However...it's hot as hell.
So, although the number of lines is lower than average, without inserting dialog where there is none on-screen, the subs can still be fantastic.

Honestly, he doesn't speak in many of his roles because he can't act. Anyone could have played his role. Rieko Hiraoka was the best thing about that movie.

Good luck to those translators, is all I can say.
But I think translating means different things to different people. How much is translated and to what extent? How much is the price?

I agree with you about that weird, no-talent dufus. He's a net negative in every movie he appears in.

I have tried to overcome him, but the movies he's usually in(this movie being the exception) are kinda weak, so you can't help but notice him.
I'm thinking of using blur technology for him
