Overall I like It. There are a lot close-ups, full nudes, kisses, a good face to face seated cowgirl... Even a doggy. But, for my taste, it lacks the same tha all Madonna VR titles: a face-to-face or close-up missionary. They use it sometimes with younger women, but not with the mature ones. I don't know why. But the missionary with Yumi Kazama, Maki Hojo, or Maki Tomoda is always filmed too far away
 
Yes, I have watched it. It is great. Minami Aizawa is awesome. Only lack a face to face missionary to be perfect.

These older titles have 30fps instead of 60, so I'd say it's a waste of time to convert to 120, because both the resolution and fps are a bit limited to work with to look 'realistic', but I guess if you really want to you can, it does make it better but then there will be some weird parts, like you can see the right shoulder(left on your screen) doesn't look real.

Speaking of close ups and kisses, I recently watched EBVR-084, it pissed me off to no end, the girl is great, one of the best bodies, super cute and sweet face and voice, but then the entire video consists of 3-second kisses and then she backs away and this keeps repeating throughout. I'm fully aware they are trying to make her the shy type but doing it the entire video is such a shame, wasted a good one to keep.

But I guess someone here will like it.

I must be missing something or I'm just stupid. When I use Topaz to do a Chronosfast 60->120 frame rate upgrade it takes around 2 hr per minute of video and that is using a RTX 3090 gpu. This is going to take forever! Can anyone comment on how long it takes them or other software to do this faster?

It's just how it is. The consumer PC isn't gonna cut it even if you're using 4090 plus the best CPU, this is because the typical gaming PC is more tailored for gaming than work. Unless you can afford a monster using a mobo that can support a threadripper or 2 CPUs, a ton of RAM, plus a few or even a dozen GPUs(last I checked they use Quadro, that was years ago, not sure what's best now), you are not getting the speed you want. And that work PC is not going to be good for gaming.

I convert a portion of the vid that I want to watch, it's quite insane to convert the entire vid, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes over 2-3TB for a 8k title.

There are some settings in Topaz you could play around, might help a bit, but don't expect anything noticeable.

Thank you for validating I'm not an idiot. Guess the solution is as you stated, trim to the good parts and wait for processing. I have a new 4090 coming for my main system and will build a 2ndary around the 3090 to run in the garage for days to upgrade these files if notice the improvement on my oculus.
 
One of the advantages of 8K resolution is that you can increase the sharpening to the maximum in the player, and there are no halos or glitches in the image. Try it, improves the definition a lot.

New studios releasing 8K VR titles... :)

Anyone else a huge fan of JAV DVD covers/title cards? They're a really unique art form, and sometimes better than the scene itself.

All the recent Whisper AI speech-to-text stuff got me thinking - wouldn't it be cool if we could translate the text on these covers (at least the significant 'sexy' key words)? It would make them 10x hotter, and be a cool way to learn Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji.

I experimented with an app called VNTranslator...


...but the bright colors and wacky fonts really gave it a hard time (seems like it was trained exclusively on clean high contrast black/white text).

Wondering if there are any other OCR (optical character recognition) tools that would be able to translate these covers? Google vision API maybe (I think it supports Japanese)?

It is absurd. I don't download the 4K versions. Luckily the 8K versions are available on other websites. It seems Akiba is starting to post the 8K versions with the last titles, too..

I don't know, I don't use one, and my phone is a cheap one. A mid-range one, I suppose. The best option is to buy Quest 2 or Pico 4 glasses.
