Results from the sugoiero VR awards for the second half of 2021 have been released a few days ago.

What is this award?
This award is taking place since 2017 (since 2018 each every half year). They describe themselves as "Recommended VR AV rankings selected by heavy users and power reviewers!" - so every half year a group of reviewers / power users can vote for their favorite movies in this time period. From what i see this award seems to be highly acknowledged in the industry as winning producers also write a thankyou notes on the website and share the results on twitter as well.

While tastes are different (especially when you consider the language barrier for non-japanese viewers), i find this award pretty helpful to find potentially interesting scenes as its impossible to download and watch all movies being released. There are also awards for actresses and producers. Let me just share you the Top20 for the second half of 2021 (got 3 or more votes). As you say, tastes are tastes. And I don't understand japanese, so I suppose some of them have erotic and hot scripts and dialogues that give them a perspective that, unfortunately, I miss.

I think all those films are very good, but only a few are in my top. For example there are two or three trios from SOD VR, but I think the best of 2021 is DSVR-0151:

I think all those films are very good, but only a few are in my top. For example there are two or three trios from SOD VR, but I think the best of 2021 is DSVR-0151:

Its also one of my favourite movie as well (cant imagine how these scenes would look like in 8k) as image clarity is the only drawback.
Unfortunately the producers Yazawa Recieve left SOD, but i hope he will return to VR production soon for another studio. He also won the producer award for the second half of 2021

Unfortunately machine translation of japanese is not that great. One movie that was heavily discussed and retweeted in the last couple of weeks was
BIBIVR-059. I am pretty excited for it, as its almost 5 hours long and reviews on DMM/FANZA are pretty good so far. Unfortunately its not released on Afesta. Sometimes its confusing which movies from KMPVR are gonna be released on afesta and which wont.

A lot of times I have dreamed of my favorite JAV VR titles recorded at 6K or 8K with the quality of SLR or Czech VR titles. I thought maybe it could become a reality in 2022, but it seems that no JAV VR company has any intention of improving their cameras....

Seeing Nanami Yokomiya at the top also doesn't surprise me, she is incredibly cute. One performer i woud like to see included would be Rino Yuki. With more studios leaving DMM/Fanza a bit behind and starting their own distribution channels (SODprime, mgsstage..) and new camera tech being able to record native 8k@60fps, upcmoing PSVR2,i think chances are good we could see 8k content this year, but it seems that japanese studios are often a bit behind, so we will see.

Thanks for making me aware of this. I think neither afesta or KMPVR are to be blamed for that. I'm pretty sure KMPVR had to sign an agreement to have certain videos of them be exclusively on DMM/Fanza for 1 month.

A recommendation: MDVR-195 (Download) is pure gold.

Mio Ishikawa is so cute and shy. You can see she's not faking it when his cheeks and chest gradually change from white to red... Her facial expressions are unsurpassed.

A pity is not available at A Festa to buy... Have been curious about VR porn for a while, finally found a used Oculus Go last weekend for 45 dollars and have been downloading some of the recommendations here to get started.
First reaction so far: AB-SO-LUTE-LY MIND BLOWING!! To a point that I felt guilty watching it. I do have a significant other so the entire intimacy of JVR porn is just unbelievable.
The biggest issue now is HD space as these movies are huge!
I haven't tried many movies yet because I just can't last 1 movie per sitting (unlike usual porn where you can just scrub through most of the video and usually last 3 or 4 titles before needed to rest), but I'm really enjoying this title:

On the downside, the mosaic really is a kill joy for JVR, it pulls you immediately out of the film where as I am completely used to (and in some cases even prefer) it in traditional JAV. I guess this is why I am finding the JVR with mostly KISSING and RUBBING scenes just so incredible. I can't wait to find a lesbian movie with the girls just playing in front of me. But you must know you are using outdated glasses. When yo can, change to Quest 2 or some PC glasses like HP Reverb G2 because they have much more definition and do not have the grid on the screen that the Oculus Go has.

With modern glasses and using supersampling, it is real live definition.

To a point that I felt guilty watching it. I do have a significant other so the entire intimacy of JVR porn is just unbelievable.

Hikaru Minazuki is wonderful, but I think she has much better VR movies than VRKM-043, al least if you like full nudes. Check out the recommendations in this thread, all the titles are very good and most have the camera close by.

Unfortunately, there are very few lesbian movies in VR. If you like the girls playing and kissing in front of you with the camera very near, try BBVR-003, 3DSVR-291, BBVR-008 and BBVR-009. They are awesome!!

I shudder to think about an even more realistic experience with newer glasses, I bought the Go because it was 45 bucks and I thought heck, worse off, I'm out a PS4 game....Oculus Quest 2 is over 400, will have to figure out something to justify it for just porn....It won't be hard, I know. Also wanting to wait and see what Sony comes out with this year in terms of the PSVR2. I have a PS5 so it would be great to not have to rebuy another pair of goggles.

It is a matter of taste, but maybe I would opt for BBVR-003 because it is a complete experience: caresses, kisses, licked tits, real sex... But BBVR-009 has more girls.

3DSVR-291 is awesome too, the girls devour each other a few centimeters from you, but they are less atractive.

Oculus Quest 2 is over 400, will have to figure out something to justify it for just porn....

For me, JAV VR porn justifies even Valve Index, which cost $1,000... But yes, 400 dollars is a lot of money. But the improvement is great from Oculus Go, it's worth it if you can afford it. Like to change from VHS to Blu-ray...

Just bought a couple more titles from r18. I'm so far ok with just streaming since downloading really uses up so much bandwidth and HDD space. I absolutely am loving the kissing and drooling scenes. I know it's not for this forum, but I also bought a western VR title with 3 girls. It was incredible!
