The bad news is that AniMaker already restricted the use of its subtitle generator a lot (I don't know if only in my region), even in paid options it becomes very limited.

I thought I mentioned this on the other thread? But its good to remind people who uses it.

Other bad news is that it's actually not as good as I initially assumed. Yes it is better than what I personally have been able to achieve with Whisper and Vosk, but the percentage of correct audio identification is still very low. Despite this, the SRTs that I managed to obtain at the time can serve as the basis for creating better ones.

I was wondering why you kept saying 80% accurate.
As I stated when testing it, it missed lots of words and sentences... BUT I was surprise how well it did perform.
I would never give any translation software a high accurate rate over 50% The Japanese language is just too difficult for a machine, even for foreign speakers.

The good news is that I did the experiment of creating a manually edited SRT and I don't think it turned out bad. I originally edited it in my native language (Spanish), so the Chrome translator may have added some bugs, but I'm guessing minimal.

Indeed good news. I think manually you might get better subs in the end.

To clarify that in many cases I had to "imagine" the dialogues (since I don't speak Japanese), but I think the goal is achieved to better understand (and enjoy) the movies.

Also clarify that there is already another version of subtitles for this film, but incomplete. In my version I have covered all the dialogues, I calculate that the double of the original subtitles.

Yes, we can also compare it to premiere pro cc 2023. But the problem that I can see with premiere pro is that the subscription fee is expensive, and if you are using a cracked version then there is a high chance that it contains viruses.

I also want to try premiere pro cc but I don't have it. Are you using a cracked version? Would you mind sharing where you got it?

I used Whisper to create this sub for HUNBL-133. Although sibling relations is usually not a favorite of mine, I thought the "ladies" in this movie were deserving. I did not edit the sub, so I am hoping someone else will pick up the the ball and finish it. Anyway enjoy!

What are the restrictions and limitations that you have encountered that is not restricted and limited in the past?

Previously I was able to upload and get the subtitles of multiple full length movies in just a few hours. Now AniMaker shows a message saying that I can only upload 250 MB files for free. If I pay 19 Dlls per month then I will have 250 (only 250) minutes of subtitles... per month! Time to put my batteries to get Whisper up and running.

When I use Google Translator to translate Japanese into English, there is a limit of 3900 characters, so I can only translate 30 lines or so. Is there a way to translate bigger chunks of text at once?

The best option (that I know of) to translate is using Google Chrome.

1) Drag the SRT file to Google Chrome.
2) Right click on the browser.
3) Choose the Translate to option
4) Press Ctrl-A (to select all translated text)
5) Copy the selected text
6) Paste it into the original SRT so that it replaces the old text.

Nunca le daría a ningún software de traducción una tasa de precisión superior al 50 %. El idioma japonés es demasiado difícil para una máquina, incluso para hablantes extranjeros.

My settings is No translation, vad 0.3 and chunk 1-1.1. With this chunk value, the output contains many short sentences rather than few long sentences. I think in JAV, they don't talk long, so we should go with many short sentences.

After getting SRT file, I will translate it with Google Chrome. I believe Google translate better than DeepL or other services.

I also have write a small program to clean up SRT file after translation. It fixes some minor issues. Sometimes the ID of subtitle is translated to "five", "six" instead of remaining as number, the empty seperator line is missing (cause 2 lines to be displayed as 1), remove useless lines such as "ah", "oh", etc.

Here's some subtitles I made using above method. I don't bother editting them because they're good enough for me.

I tried his suggestions with a 20 minute, no noise, no busy scene. One I have already subbed. I also tried PyTransciber.
I did not tried AniMaker.
I ran both once.
PyTranscriber lost.

However, the subs generated by whisper did not keep up with my manual subbing.

Using it as a base is all it was good for.
Using it by itself... honestly I would had been confuse and frustrated.

Again I speak only for me.
Maybe the result was bad due to my computer or net??? Who knows.

Again using these tools as a base is good. But using your subbing skills will take it further and make it better
