Fanza and A Festa are two different stores.

Fanza has exclusive rights to almost all the important studios. It has DRM so it can only be viewed with their player, although there are ways to remove the DRM. The big problem is that the 8K versions have a very low bitrate. Used to be 11-15 Mpbs, now it's going up a bit with some titles at 18-20 Mbps.

A Festa has SOD, KMP, Prestige, Dandy, and little else. But the advantage is that it has no DRM, so you download MP4 files and use them with the player of your choice. It only has 8K versions of SOD VR, but with a bitrate of 100 Mbps, they look amazing. Too bad the SOD VR titles in the last few months have been crap....

I buy on Fanza the titles I really like, just to support, because their VR player is garbage. On A Festa the SOD VR titles I like, which this year has been one or two....



I can't understand what's wrong with this movie, I'm not able to see any difference with respect to other titles.... In fact it is most likely that most studios use the same 8K camera, provided by DMM / Fanza... For example KMP does not release 8K titles on A Festa, only 4K, which makes me suspect that it is because the 8K cameras they use are from Fanza...



It depends of your IPD, i.e., the distance between your pupils. In a mirror you can measure your IPD with a ruler, or better yet, go to an optician and have it measured, they usually do it for free. If you have a large IPD, you will notice more "binocular effect". With a large IPD the Quest 3 are better, because they have more FOV (field of view).

But you can improve the FOV and reduce the binocular effect in Quest 2, by changing the facial, the cushion that covers the headset, to get a little closer to the screen, and see more FOV. The facial that comes with the headset is designed to be used by people who wear glasses, without removing them, so it is far away from the screen.

It is not something to worry about, even if you have binocular effect you end up getting used to it. I have a HP Reverb G2 headset, which has a smaller FOV than Quest 2, and on top of that I have a large IPD, 69 mm. I have changed the facial for another one to see it closer, and I don't have binocular effect.

It depends on what was uploaded onto FJ and the torrents.

Sometimes, the Afesta version is uploaded. Sometimes, the Fanza version is uploaded. I won't say the Afesta version is always superior to Fanza.

The Takumi videos on Afesta are high quality remastering of older VRs. Some of those have been shared online, many aren't. For example, the Suzumori Remu VRs you can find that were shared online are not as good as the Takumi version you can get from Afesta which I don't think have ever been uploaded elsewhere. Not not every VR clip has a Takumi variant.

Basically, if you like a VR clip and if you can see that is has a Takumi version on Afesta, it might be worth getting that just for the higher quality as well as to support the industry.

A Festa's 8K versions of SOD VR are infinitely better than Fanza's and the download sites, which only use 15-25 Mbps. On A Festa they have a bitrate of 100 Mbps and look infinitely better. It only happens with the 8K version, the 4K is similar to Fanza and the rest.

Too bad the SOD VR movies of the last six months are crap....

Have there been any JAV VR releases that have piqued your interests as of late? On my side, haven't seen anything for a long while that stand out from the crowd.

As Netflix has done with series, streaming is killing JAV VR.

I didn't understand why all of a sudden, studios like KMP, SOD VR or AQUA had multiplied by 10 times their VR releases. A year ago, SOD VR was releasing 6 or 7 titles a month. Now it launches 20 or 25. The same with KMP, Aqua and others. And the reason is streaming subscriptions.

Both Fanza and A Festa are promoting a monthly streaming subscription, and to maintain that, they need to release titles continuously. KMP makes them for Fanza, and SOD VR for A Festa.

The problem is that now they film 5 times as many titles... and they are 5 times as mediocre. To make 20 or 25 VR movies a month SOD VR has reduced the length of their movies, the number of scenes (now all movies have two), the sexual positions, the quality of the shooting.... they are using mediocre directors who have no idea what VR is.... Even Yazawa Receive's new movies that he shoots with SOD VR, are mediocre, because you can see they are shot in a hurry, with no time to plan or use his best shots, which require more time.

And of course, since five times more movies are shot in VR, the budget for actresses is also reduced five times, so that's why the big stars have disappeared and the girls that are there now, most of them are third rate...

It is probably the same with JAV in flat, but I don't follow that. Maybe in 2D it's less noticeable, because they have more audience, and more budget.

You'd think investing more into a quality product would generate more revenue in the long-term than the shotgun approach of subpar releases, but apparently that is just wishful thinking. Monthly subscriptions don't appeal to me, but for most it is convenient. At least we still have exclusive studios when we want the top tier actresses.

The KMP studios (VRKM, SAVR, BIBIVR) take up majority of the real estate in the VR catalogue. Their high-output is to be admired, but I don't expect anything noteworthy. I like the creative side of SOD, but often times prefer a simpler approach. I guess they are a necessary evil? Cheap to produce releases will hopefully generate a decent return on investment to invest into higher quality works...? That is my copium anyway, haha.

Have you happened to take a look at the new Dandy release, DANDY8KVR-001? Haven't been looking at any releases myself lately, finishing up on outstanding matters.

Yes I guess with streaming and releasing dozens of titles a month, they make more money, even if the titles are of lower quality. It's the same with movies and series, most people don't care about quality, the most watched series and movies are usually pretty mediocre.

Many people are not able to see the difference in immersion, interactivity and the feeling of being inside the movie with the girl, between a good and a bad VR movie. For most people, watching a girl doing something in front of the camera in 3D, even if it's like watching TV, is enough.

Personally I don't care about KMP, I've never liked their movies, I've always found them boring, with slow sex and no passion, and now there are so many clones of each other, I like them even less. But with SOD VR I do miss their long movies with 4 and 5 scenes, mega immersive movies they used to make with Yazawa Receiver, when they let him work at his own pace and with time. If only they would release one like this from time to time, then I would be satisfied. But they haven't released any for months. Their last titles only shows clothes and they've removed my favorite shot, the face-to-face missionary, from almost all of their titles. So I'm not interested in their movies anymore.

I used to buy 2 or 3 SOD VR movies a month on Fanza. This year I only bought one in all of 2024, and I regret buying it, because I didn't like it....

Luckily, as you say, there are still studios like S1, Moodyz, Idea Pocket, and some others, that still put time and effort into their VR movies, and still use top actresses. But there are fewer and fewer of them.

I can't be 100% sure but I think this might be her first lesbian kiss. I really like her so watch a lot of her 3d and flat movies and she's always seemed to avoid girl kisses, most I've seen her go is letting the other girl touch her nipples. Hopefully the kissing is more extended and not just a quick peck that they're over hyping on the promo pics and cover.

All very light, but very erotic because both girls are gorgeous, enhanced by the magic of VR, with life-size and 3D girls...

It is unfortunate that it is not at 8K...

Great, I can't recall how I installed Heresphere on mine. It might have been an apk file if the demo isn't in the app store.

My initial impressions: pretty cool tech. I haven't been blown away just yet as I haven't checked out any proper 3D stuff. Quickly played two SLR VR_Queen videos using the default player to see how they looked, but the scale was huge and wasn't a 3D effect. Curious to see if Heresphere fixes that.

I now get the talk about the small sweet spot. It's a minor inconvenience honestly. Won't see me hark on about it. With the glasses spacer, I can wear my glasses comfortably. Will probably invest in prescription lenses regardless.

Will look about Heresphere now.

edit: Amazing... trying the Heresphere demo for the videos. Love the 3D effect. Everything is in proper scale

Awesome!! You will probably need a few days to get used to it and to find the sweet spot. This is also influenced by the positioning of the headset. Try different angles on the face. Not only center them on the face, but move the back strap up and down.

A lot of people don't find the strap comfortable, so they wear accessories that they sell, which hold better. The glasses move you away from the screen, so you lose FOV. And there is a danger of scratching the lenses. If you can, wear prescription lenses.

Try Heresphere with an 8K video, and if you can, super sampling and sharpening as much as you can. Good luck!!

Such a cool experience. 2D porn really has no place in my life now I've got this!
As for the comfort; I find the default strap to be quite comfortable to be quite honest. Not sure what the fuss is about. Maybe my opinion will change in the coming days/weeks, but as for now it's a non-issue.

Prescription lenses are a no-brainer. Surprisingly, I can see perfectly well without them, but they do enhance the image. Don't want to scratch the screen, yes, so best to get that.

I don't find the sweet spot to be an issue personally, especially when immersed in a video and set up correctly. The headset and strap work well with my head shape, so don't have to constantly adjust it. No issues with the FOV as of yet. Kind of forget about it when enjoying oneself

For the paltry price of £199.99, I'm incredibly satisfied with it. Using Heresphere demo - it works great!

I'll report more once I've put it through the ringer.
