I have watched the decensored videos. They look the same than 2D decensored. It looks like without mosaic, but more blurred. It's much better done in the Moodyz VR, probably because it's made from the 8K version, and I've read that the higher the resolution of the video, the better the result.

As I say, the area without mosaic looks a little blurry, and with weird effects, but for me it is better than the mosaic, at times it gives you the feeling that it is not censored. I prefer the decensored video than the mosaic. I hope to see more titles coming out.

Yes, I have bought it at Fanza. I liked it very much. Saki Sasaki is a very pretty girl, and the film is immersive, with the camera close and face-to-face scenes.

The best part are the gestures she makes with her face during sex, they are quite realistic and it looks like she is not faking. Recommended if you like cute and tiny girls.

The preview images you posted look great so I was disappointed when I saw how poor it was. There is some wierd saturation and bloom effect that eats away most of the details on her face. I tried to correct it with saturation and sharpness in Heresphere (I use these settings to improve every title, even the best), but the quality remains horrendous. It usually works well, but this title looks bad no matter what.

Since im not buying VR's like you, I don't know if Fanza has a player or if you can download what you buy. Anyway, do you mind downloading one of the 4 parts posted here and do a comparison of the two versions? I know you do some supersampling and so on but maybe comparing it 1 to 1 is the most accurate.

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about it, I haven't seen this kind of quality issue before.

Unfortunately I can't compare, I ran out of my Filejoker account a few days ago, and right now I don't have one. The problem is that I can't find a way to buy it "safely".... I don't want to use a direct purchase through credit card, and through Paypal you have to do very strange things...

The 8K version of Fanza has no problem at all, looks perfectly sharp, and in focus, and certainly much better than any 4K movie I have. Even better than the average 8K movie from Fanza, because it has a bitrate of 18-20 Mbps, which is not the best, but better than the 11-15 Mbps of other 8K titles...
If you see it as 4K and even at 2K as you say, there is something wrong there. Let's see if someone who has some Quest tests it and tell us something.... I've never tried Quest, so I have no idea what it looks like, compared to my PC VR headset.

I think it's due to the cameras IPVR used. I don't like how it looks. In addition to the content, the equipment being used seems like a big factor in general.

I recall back in 4K days that titles from certain studios looked bad, and many would avoid them. I cant recall the ones but there was quite a few, the name acube rings a bell but maybe the content was trash and not the equipment, maybe both. I think you spoke about this topic aswell at some point. Titles with tags like VRKM, URVRSP, 3DSVR and CRVR on the otherhand would always look great and still do. Healthy bitrates too.

Anyway, again, I think it's the camera being used that I don't like. Now that I think about it more, there have been others that put me off recently too.

I guess I forgot since I don't watch VR as much as others, and it can be quite some time in between becuase of many things. Too much cloaths, bad angels etc.

Side note;

Sometimes (getting more and more common) an actress has had a bunch of cosmetic surgery and looks wierd too. Tenma Yui looks like a different person, and creeps me out now, especially when she smiles It sucks since she was really talented at VR and now shes off my list. (If anyone is interested I made a post detailing what she looked like before and at different times, here on page 60). Yura Kana looked better prior to her nosejob, but thankfully remains pretty after. I really hope that she and Kisaki Nana don't get some ridiculous boobjob or surgery. Long tangent but curious on what people think.

Many praise the Quest 2 in one breath but then say that the Quest 3 makes it obsolete (mainly due to the pancake lenses and form factor). Have you found any such issues with the device? People online say that the Quest 2 feels like looking through a pair of binoculars - have you found that to be the case, and if so does it ruin your immersion?

just recently picked up the Quest 3 and had the 2.. difference is night and day for anyone that used both.. for them would be very difficult to go back.. Quest 2 lower screen and weight i think has an impact on the immersion, and sometimes the lenses can create some problems on some title were part of the image remain a bit out of focus..but luckily for you since you never had the 3 you should not suffer from this that much... if I were in you i will try first with a second-hand 2 to see if you would even use it that much before committing to the higher price tag of the 3..

Using heresphere too and it is indicated as 8k whatever the resolution, not sure about bitrate... I have the impression that in that sense i have seen a bit better.. but still not something i would complain.. not a quest 2.. but i had a couple of videos in which for some reason were appearing "bad" (slightly out of focus and for me hard to watch) on quest 2 and totally fine on 3...

It is unsurprising that those who have used both will favour the objectively better device, but I also have to take into consideration the fervency of enthusiasts who perhaps overstate certain shortcomings. For the average person with fewer demands, the Quest 2 seems adequate. I've seen VR fans online who have yet to upgrade from the Quest 1, which is reassuring.

£200 is a comfortable price for my use case, so I'll take the plunge into VR with the Quest 2. Sometime in the far future I'll look at whatever new headsets are on the market and upgrade.

I currently have the Quest 2 and I would agree on that. It's a lot of bang for the buck (good value) to begin with, and even more so when discounted. The Quest 2 is worthy of all the praise it gets.

I don't agree on this so called binocular effect. Immersion is good. Hopefully your eyes can tolerate VR well. I would advice not going for the Quest 3, but Quest 2 insted In the current situation.

I tried the Quest 3 and even though It's a bit better overall, I would never buy that one when the Quest 2 is such a good value and fits the interest level of myself and most people.

I'm surprised to read that you experience it as night and day, comparing it in both games and videos I experience it as a modest improvement. The player you use has such a big impact on the experience, switching to heresphere and tinkering with the settings made a world of difference in my case. Sharpness and auto focus especially. I agree with granca, to try a quest 2 first. He suggests a second hand one, due to the heavy discount I would personally just buy one at this point.

This is pretty much it yeah, 200 is a very good deal, if it's your first experience with JAV VR you will be amazed. Just a tip, I have the files stored locally on my Quest 2 and use Bluetooth. Easy way to use it. If you are satisfied with it you might want the external battery addon too.

Use heresphere, I can't recall if I downloaded it via the actual headset or installed it through an APK file. Anyway, using heresphere is a big deal, dont miss out on it becuase the videos look ten times better when you adjust the sharpness and saturation especially.

Sidenote;

For some reason it's common for the file transfer to fail. Just try and copy it over again until it works. It's annoying but it works eventually.

Fanza and A Festa are two different stores.

Fanza has exclusive rights to almost all the important studios. It has DRM so it can only be viewed with their player, although there are ways to remove the DRM. The big problem is that the 8K versions have a very low bitrate. Used to be 11-15 Mpbs, now it's going up a bit with some titles at 18-20 Mbps.

A Festa has SOD, KMP, Prestige, Dandy, and little else. But the advantage is that it has no DRM, so you download MP4 files and use them with the player of your choice. It only has 8K versions of SOD VR, but with a bitrate of 100 Mbps, they look amazing. Too bad the SOD VR titles in the last few months have been crap....

I buy on Fanza the titles I really like, just to support, because their VR player is garbage. On A Festa the SOD VR titles I like, which this year has been one or two....

I can't understand what's wrong with this movie, I'm not able to see any difference with respect to other titles.... In fact it is most likely that most studios use the same 8K camera, provided by DMM / Fanza... For example KMP does not release 8K titles on A Festa, only 4K, which makes me suspect that it is because the 8K cameras they use are from Fanza...

It depends of your IPD, i.e., the distance between your pupils. In a mirror you can measure your IPD with a ruler, or better yet, go to an optician and have it measured, they usually do it for free. If you have a large IPD, you will notice more "binocular effect". With a large IPD the Quest 3 are better, because they have more FOV (field of view).

But you can improve the FOV and reduce the binocular effect in Quest 2, by changing the facial, the cushion that covers the headset, to get a little closer to the screen, and see more FOV. The facial that comes with the headset is designed to be used by people who wear glasses, without removing them, so it is far away from the screen.

It is not something to worry about, even if you have binocular effect you end up getting used to it. I have a HP Reverb G2 headset, which has a smaller FOV than Quest 2, and on top of that I have a large IPD, 69 mm. I have changed the facial for another one to see it closer, and I don't have binocular effect.

That seals the deal for me then - I'll pick up a Quest 2 in 1-2 months. The Quest 3 has much going for it, but the price tag is too high for my limited use case.

Acclimation is a handy thing. My current phone has a 720p resolution, which was noticeable in the first week or so, but now looks normal. As long as the lens panels I get are good quality (little mura, bright), I'm content.

I'll make sure to use Heresphere. Yeah, I did see people talk about file transfer fails which is annoying (both on the 2 and 3), but no biggie. The model most available to me is the 128GB one, which is very limiting for storing a ton of videos, but I'll make do. Streaming is always an option. The low price makes it all worth it. If the stock strap/battery life is unbearable, I'll acquire some upgrades.

I wasn't aware of the relationship between pupil distance and binocular effect, very interesting. Curious to see if my glasses will work with the headset, or if it'll be too cumbersome. I'll be sure to detail my findings when I obtain the device.

JAV torrents have been super slow, if not non-existent as of recent. Can only complain about free content so much though, and soon I'll be able to purchase whatever I want.

Do you wear glasses? If they are normal size, you should have no problem using them with the headset. However, glasses increase the "binocular effect", because the farther your eyes are from the screen, the less field of view (FOV) you will see. The ideal would be to use lenses with your prescription that sell for the headset, so you don't need glasses and you can see more FOV, and less binocular effect.

Yes, I think the most logical thing to do is to start with a Quest 2, and then later, if you can afford it, make the jump to Quest 3 or higher.

For me buying VR glasses has been one of the best investments of my life. I also use them for gaming, watching 3D movies, or for experiences like visiting the inside of an Egyptian tomb, or the Chinese wall. But if I only used them for porn, it would also be a great investment: the sensory experience you get is another level.

It is the best decision: glasses make you lose FOV and can also scratch the screen. Everyone who uses VR with glasses ends up wearing prescription lenses. It's worth the investment, for the peace of mind.

£199.99 is reasonable. People still happily use headsets that are even older than the Quest 2, so best not to get stuck in the weeds.

Well, there are still millions of people who use Google Cardboard or mobile to watch VR and say they are happy, although it looks awful, so don't trust everything they say....

But yes, the Quest 2 is the most reasonable decision, if you have a tight budget. They are good glasses and you will have a good experience. Quest 3 are not cheap.

For anyone who's interested in decensored VR, here is a short clip that someone ("Hellgate") from Scanlover forum (now shutdown) did about 8 months ago. IIRC, he said it took ~18 hours to render just 40s on a high-end PC (RTX 3090)!
