I didn't notice much before, but since I've started translating movies, I've started to get hooked on the intros. They are the best thing about JAV VR. As you say, some intros are relaxing, some are fun, some are therapeutic. Beautiful, nice and friendly girls hugging, caressing you, kissing you, telling you things.... That takes the stress away from anyone after a hard day.... Especially if your wife or your real girlfriend is not in the mood...

Unfortunately I think all that is getting a bit lost, less and less intros are made in JAV VR, or they are shorter. Too many titles are being released that are shot too fast.




It is ESSENTIAL to translate the films to get inside them, and connect with the girl. I have started to do it and it changes them completely. It makes sense of a lot of scenes, and the sex scenes are more erotic if you know what they are saying.... And it's pretty easy.

The ideal is to use Whisper, an AI from Open AI that works locally, the bad thing is that you need a graphics card with enough memory, but everything is to try. If your graphics card is bad, you can use PyTranscriber. It uses Google AI, that translates worse than Whisper, but it works perfectly well. But I recommend Whisper.

You only have to download Subtitle Edit, which is a free and open source program.

In the Video Menu, choose Audio to text (Whisper). In Language, choose Japanese. In Engine, choose Faster Whisper, which is the fastest and the one that requires the least resources. In Model, it depends on your graphic card. If it has 8 GB of VRAM choose Larger. If it is less, then medium or Tiny. The larger it is, the more accurate the translation is.

You can check Translate to English to translate the subtitles to English. But I recommend not to translate to english, it's better the other method that I am going to tell you about:

It only remains to choose the movies that you want to translate, with Add, and Generate. It generates you a STR file with the subtitles of the movie in Japanese or English, depending on whether you have checked or not the Translate to English option.

It only remains to open the STR file with a text editor like Word Pad, copy the text and paste it in DeppL Translator to translate it from Japanese to the language that you want. Without account DeepL Translator only accepts text blocks of 1,500 characters, so you will have to translate the text in pieces, with patience. Paste the translation into the STR file, and that's it.

Make sure that this STR file has the same name as the movie, so that the player recognizes it and associates it with the movie. Save it in the same folder as the movie, and you are done.

HereSphere recognizes subtitles in VR, you activate them in the player, and you can know what the girls are saying...

The AI translation has improved a lot, now it translates much better than a few months ago. It still commits some hallucinations (meaningless translation), and translates moans as well. So you will have to edit the STR file and manually delete the hallucinations and moans.
It is worth the effort. Understanding the dialogues gives you another perspective of what is going on, you get even more into the movie and you connect much more with the girls. And some of them say some pretty dirty things that turn you on even more....

It's been a while since I watched Jinguuji Nao's last VR, but I remember being impressed by her amazing ass and hips, plus she's very pretty.... I hope She shoots some more.

About Suzu Honjo I can't say much, as I've been asking for years for more VRs with her... Luckily she has at least one with everything I ask for in a VR, so she is an actress I have "covered"... But I would love more VRs with her.

If she ceases VR shoots, she has effectively "retired" in our world you could say, haha. You alerted me to the absence of Tsukasa Aoi, who I assumed had retired upon reading your message - she's consistently been releasing in 2D, so not gone from the industry just yet.


2D is insidious, training us to use material we'd otherwise be repulsed by in person. Once you break free, very easy to see that... can't help but feel torn that so much time was wasted with inferior content. Felt that JAV was superior to American/European porn, but slowly came to realise they shared similar pitfalls. JAV VR is where it's at.

The brain changes cannot be understated it seems. Looking forward to reporting on my first month with VR. First year... I'll be a new man entirely.

Her VR output is just too low. I still track a number of girls in 2D but I really only seem to grab their gravure clips these days. I still love watching those. Just the girl and no one else. Perfect.

Currently have my eye on Toujou Natsu. Again, never paid any attention to her before in 2D. But I like what I see in VR.

Yes, it is clear that at the beginning they bet very heavily on VR. Unfortunately Google Cardboard did a lot of damage to VR. A lot of people got started that way, and at the beginning it looked like VR was going to take porn by storm. But the image quality was terrible, they were annoying, and they had fixed IPD, so a lot of people either saw it blurry, or had headaches. They were garbage, and within a few months people got sick of VR.

I think it's all been resurrected a bit now with Quest, supposedly they've sold 20 million Quests, and Quest 3 is selling well. And the Apple Vision Pro is awakening mainstream interest again (even if it's nonsense, because almost nobody can afford them).

Let's hope that VR will resurrect again. I can't understand that only a few people are aware of the brutal leap that VR is making in porn. I'm not saying it should replace 2D because many genres and styles are not yet in VR, but at least as a complement, I can't believe that someone who has tried VR porn would reject it, and prefer a tiny flat screen.

Similarly, I've developed an aversion to certain aesthetics that I could look past in 2D. The natural beauty/personality of an actress plays a very crucial role now. If I were so inclined, I could see myself being dedicated to only one actress - the intimate nature of VR plays well into the actress-fan relationship. Watching her perform with other males however, no. Not appealing.

I've seen a few people online express the sentiment you describe. They remarked on the novelty wearing off for them and returning to 2D porn. Guess it all depends on how one approaches the medium; my gripes lie with issues unique to flat porn, so VR is the obvious pivot. Many (most) don't seem to be bothered to any significant degree enough to be enticed by VR.

Online porn fans have told me that they self-insert as the male actor. Not sure how they do it. It's an undesirable form of voyeurism, no matter how it's spun. Solo female/lesbian content - voyeurism I have no qualms with and actively seek out. The intimate POV nature of VR doesn't require forced self-insertion, being in the driver's seat.

The "novelty" is that you go from watching ugly guys doing things with girls, to being the one doing it, life-size and in 3D, with the girls talking to you, kissing you and doing things with you. If it turns out that bores you and you'd rather go back to ugly guys doing stuff with girls on a tiny screen, while you watch.... Well OOOKKKEEEYYY...

I can understand if you get tired of it, or combine it with 2D because there are very few genres in VR and the movies are all very similar, and very vanilla. But to reject it completely because you prefer 2D, is something I can't understand. But it's the same with games, unfortunately....

It's frustrating when your tastes are in the minority, and you don't understand why others don't see it the way you do....

I stick to 5 main videos from the studio Ebisusan. Not sure if you already know about them: EVIS-395, EVIS-414, EVIS-436, EVIS-453, EVIS-509 - lesbian tongue sucking/kissing titles. There are a few more, but only available for streaming and not in HD. Very potent for me. They are holding me over until I get a headset... would be nice if they released those fetish titles more frequently!

Bibian is great, though not super fond of exaggerated performances. Those EVIS codes are more natural. The upcoming BBAN-470 does look enticing though

I don't understand them either Well, I kind of do... regular porn is passive in nature, you getting to watch something erotic done to a woman. Nice and simple, easy to access anytime you please. But when you have to keep dodging scenes and camera angles where the guy is too obnoxious/has main character syndrome, starts to irritate real fast. Can't count how many times my mood was ruined checking new release trailers - just video after video of slop! Once the illusion broke and I stuck to my guns, leaving was easier than ever.

Don't want to watch people having sex in person nor on-screen. Just the woman, as is almost the mantra of this thread.

I found this site https://www.deepsubtitles.com/ which will automate the translation using DeepL API for you. You have to register a free DeepL API account and paste in your auth key. Then just browse to your srt file, and it instantly translates the whole file for you in a few seconds and let you save it. Beats having to copy and paste line by line through the DeepL website. I was about to pull my hair out with RSVR-007-1 having 800+ lines lol.

To be honest, it doesn't add a whole lot to the medium. But I like it anyway.

The main problem is that there's isn't much of them. High quality clips are very rare. Most are low quality ones shot during the cardboard days.

The clip I've been able to get a hold on that I really like is CAIM-003 with Akimoto Tsubasa. Always liked her, being able to see her in VR is quite mindblowing and this video is of decent quality.

I also got CAIM-009 and CAIM-010 with Amaha Narumi but both clips are annoying cos...well, its the first time I've seen mosaics on nipples. I mean Akimoto Tsubasa wasn't shy about giving us a glimpse of them but this girl doesn't even want us to see a mild shadow through her lingerie. For crying out loud, just don't wear something transparent than. Or tape over your nipples. What's with that mosaic?

Amaha Narumi is a blast from the not-so-distant past - really like her style. Mosaics on nipples is very odd. As you say, just don't bother showing them if they will be censored. A benefit of regular gravure is the absence of pixels. Tape is usually the better alternative, especially when covering the genitals. The DKYF dance series utilises that well.

Seeing the likes of Rui Kiriyama or Marina Nagasawa in the flesh would be awesome, plus other gravure stars I'm unaware of. But from what the former has revealed, the gravure wage is super low if you aren't very popular, so mass adoption of VR in that scene doesn't seem feasible. We simply aren't there yet sadly.

According to those on the Oculus subreddit, Meta's servers are currently down. As a result, they cannot play games offline nor use Virtual Desktop. For many, it logs them out entirely. A glorified paperweight, to paraphrase one of the commentors.

For those that aren't connected to the internet when booting the device, they won't face an issue unless they turn on Wi-fi and it proceeds to request authentication - assumed to be for DRM.

Will make sure to take the necessary precautions when I get a headset. Certain companies really seem averse to the idea of providing a hassle-free offline experience.

Not planning on owning the same headset forever, presuming that new devices will emerge as VR develops further. But to know in forethought that the device's functionality is contingent on servers not crashing or them not pulling support doesn't inspire confidence. I'm sure the Windows Mixed Reality community would be gutted if, upon discontinuing their headsets, Microsoft bricked the existing hardware.

At least with PCVR the HMDs are compatible with whatever capable computer one owns, Wi-Fi a non-factor. The AVP received flack for its closed system, but the Quest shares similar pitfalls.

Yeah, the issue was resolved 30 minutes or so ago. Those already offline weren't affected. Seemed to be an account authorisation issue when going online. Doesn't seem to be an issue unique to Meta.

Yeah, its a fairly recent change IMHO. I think she still looked normal right up until OYCVR-095 with Miyazawa Chiharu. After that, something looks....different. I thought I might have been imagining things, but it seems you have noticed too.

Its just so cool to finally be able to see and experience that pool in 3D as though you are there. I would like to see more of this in VR, not just this angle.

I don't think there would be many. The owners of this place are still leasing out the apartment for JAV shoots but are no longer allowing the pool to be used for porn shoots cos they are tired of footing the cleaning bill for it, haha. For some reason, its the popular venue for so-called "soapland" shoots instead of an actual soapland. Go figure.
