I have watched the 4K version of KIWVR-384 (Download), filmed at 6K with the wonderful Ichika Matsumoto.

Even being the 4K version, it looks much better than any other JAV VR, because the camera technology is more modern. The backgrounds are more defined, there is more detail in close-ups, and the colors are more natural. They are not the saturated yellows or browns that you always see in JAV VR.

With this camera the image has much more realism, and the feeling of being in front of Ichika Masumoto is even more real. It is impressive, in 6K it has to be a joy.

This is also the best VR of Ichika Matsumoto, the most intimate and immersive. She is continuously kissing you and glued to you. And there is a lot of sex positions. You really feel like you've been with Ichika. Impressive. I want to buy it, please R18 returns soon!!

Hopefully one day we can watch the 6K version. And I don't want to think about how the 8K versions that DMM has announced will look like. This is going to be a revolution in JAV VR...

Yes they have been making up for other issues with great casting. I did notice there was a lot of great debuts recently. I think there was a law passed not long ago that lowered age of adulthood from 20 to 18, maybe that's why there are a lot more younger models appearing in AV

I'm looking forward to the quality. What i'm not looking forward to, is the file sizes. I'm already struggling with 15TB of storage.. imagine 4h long scenes at 8k
 
Personally I don't care what they take up, I want maximum image quality. I will buy another hard drive if necessary.

From SexLikeReal I have bought several movies that take more than 100 GB each...
 
i messed around with mobile phone VR for ages... the interfaces and apps and quality is just nothing compared to oculus quest 2

Honestly i thought image quality wasn't noticeably better. They shouldn't boast about 6k when the highest you can watch is 4k. It's still a good scene because of Ichika though.
 
I do notice improvement, as I said. But what we all want is to watch the 6K version, of course...

I think you can see it at 6K, but the only way is with the DMM app, which is awful and has DRM.
 
Today BIBIVR-086 has been released (unfortunately only on DMM).
Its a 20th year anniversary film (directed by Yazawa Receive and another director) is called "fuzoku island" which kind of like translates to prostitution island

It is almost 6 hours long and reviews on DMM are already pretty good.

Two recommendations:

Miru has achieved the perfect blend of beauty, maturity and experience. She is sublime in SIVR-225. There are some original sex positions, too, with the guy standing and Miru standing on a sofa to be at the same height, and she does it standing up. It is Miru and S1 Style N1 at their best, too bad S1 isn't maintaining this level in their other titles.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but did something happen to R18.com? They don't seem to be releasing JAV VR anymore.

Are they ever coming back? Or is there some better place to get new releases?

R18 has closed because VISA and Mastercard do not want to accept their payments because they are now the censors and decide what pornographic content is acceptable, and what is not, even though everything on R18 complies with the law. But the payment companies are more powerful than the laws, as we all know...

R18 says they are trying to fix it and will try to reopen as soon as possible, but they have been closed for 3 months.

You can buy VR with downloads and no DRM at Afesta TV VR, but only titles from a few companies (SOD VR, KMP, TMA, and little else).

It was a good one. I liked the part when you're fooling around with the mom, you can look to the side and notice Nana only pretends to be sleeping. DSVR seems to be improving recently with scenes like that

Yes, that scene is very hot. Normally in other films you don't do anything with the mother.

Yes, SOD VR has improved a lot in the last two months. It is a relief... :)
 
is there actually also uncensored vr jav like from caribbean, heyzo or tokyo hot or something?

Good news! Someone has managed to download the 8K trial offered by DMM, so it is possible that those of us without access to DMM will be able to enjoy the new VR titles at 8K, until R18 opens again.... :)

I saw it, and wow. didn't realize how big the jump in quality that would be. It really looks fantastic. Seeing every single hair, smallest muscle movements, all details in the fabric, even the camera rig reflecting in her eyes. I hope this becomes the new standard, because it's going to be hard to go back.

You can also see all the makeup and imperfections, but realism is what vr is all about, right?

I have watched the 8K VR from DMM too, and it is awesome. Like to change from DVD to Blue-ray. With supersampling and sharpening, it is real life definition, even with 2K glasses. Now it is time to buy 4K glasses...

Wishing they would release 8K movies with my favorite actresses....

I did check it out too (i already watched it in the DMM App on my Quest 2). And while i definitely see a jump in quality it left me a little bit disappointed.

Comparing with CzechVR 8k it is not quite as sharp and does look a bit washed out. Sometimes closeups dont look too much different from a well made 4k videos (i.e. KM Produce).
I noticed that the videos only have a bitrate of (34 &27Mbit) which does make the files relatively small but i feel like a lot of visual quality is missing. Good 4k videos often have around 30Mbit bitrate and while you cannot directly compare as 4k videos are using a different codec, when you look at videos from CzechVR (western studio that is known to produce in 8k native), so see a different visual quality. Older CzechVR videos have a fixed bitrate of 60Mbit, newer even 80Mbit.

Also i am not sure how the 8k video was downloaded as one japanese reviewer mentioned a quality difference in streamed vs. downloaded version of the video.

I really hope that they will not heavily compress their videos in order to save bandwidth/allow for better streaming for those with slower connections. Besides that i am still glad we finally see an improvement in quality. Given now its a month a ago that DMM released that video it makes me wonder when new 8k videos are going on sale. From a (western) marketing perspective i would have expected to have 8k videos for sale released max. 1 week after (otherwise whats the point of a press release and that supplying that free scene?!), but maybe things work differently in Japan. As for the upcoming releases till mid-october, there doesnt seem to be a 8k video announced.

Also its interesting what camera they use. Usually JAV studios are using 2 cameras and i would suspect they would do the same or use that Canon R5C with dual-fisheye lens but it looks like something complety different on this BTS tweet from Kana Momonogi
