Yes it can be downloaded, at least some months ago when I downloaded my titles. You need to install a Chrome plugin and play the title on the browser. The plugin save the video to the hard disk. Here there is more info.

As a fan of Kano Yura, I was looking forward to watching SIVR-242. And I liked it, intimate scenes with the camera close and face-to-face sex. For me the best VR of Kano Yura.
The problem is, once again, the image quality. Completely mediocre, with low definition, even blurry image. The technical quality of SIVR titles has been plummeting in the last year, they even look worse than a couple of years ago.
It's a disgrace that excellent VRs such as this title are not enjoyed because of prehistoric image quality, unworthy of S1 N1 Style.

I finally got around to setup the Samsung Odyssey Plus headset that I purchased in 2021. The picture quality beats my PiMax (true 4k resolution) VR headset by the magnitude of light years and I have been very pleased with the Ody+ headset (which has less resolution than the true 4k resolution).
My question to the forum: what is the optimal oversampling setting number should I use in the SteamVR video settings? I read the OP mentioned 400% (4.0 setting in SteamVR I assume), but elsewhere people seemed to recommend 140% to 250% (1.4 to 2.5 in SteamVR video settings), so I am a bit confused here.

I never could had imagined this would be so, only after I have actually experienced it. But, I still enjoy the regular JAV and 99% of my JAV watching is non-VR.

I'm glad you are enjoying the VR. The experience is totally different than flat screen, and in my opinion, far superior.
About your question, it depends on the power of your PC and the graphics card you have. You have to apply the maximum supersampling that your PC allows, in some cases it will be 150%, in others up to 500%, depending on your PC. Try it little by little until the video starts to be jerky, then lower it a little.
Instead of touching the general Steam VR setting, it is better to leave this general setting at 100%. Then go to the Steam VR Video menu, and there you will see an option to adjust the definition in each app or game. There you choose the video player you are using, and try it at 150, 200, 300%, and so on.
This is because each app or game consumes different resources, and one will run at 200%, another at 300%, others only at 100% or less, etc.
Depending on the player you use, look for a Sharpening option, which increases the video detail. I recommend Deo VR, or even better Virtual Home Theater or HereSphere, these two are the ones that give the best graphic quality, but they are a little difficult to use.
I'm glad you made the jump to Quest 2. The higher screen resolution is noticeable. I recommend you try some videos at 8K from SLR or CZechVR, you'll notice the difference.
Yes, the Naught America remasters are really bad, they look terrible. The girls as giants thing happens also in many titles at 8K, many studios are using a Canon camera that makes everything look giant. This is solved by reducing the image diameter or zooming in the player. Instead of Skybox I recommend you Deo VR or HereSphere for Quest 2, the movies have more definition and especially the last one, it has many options to reduce the size of the giant girls.
Now that you both have VR glasses, I hope you can recommend us titles you like. I recommend quite a few but my tastes are pretty simple and standard...
Thanks for sharing your VR hardware/software tips and the movie recommendations. I have only watched about the first 30 minutes of the first VR movie recommended in one of your posts (I just randomly picked one that I have in my JAV-VR library), the experience was very intense/nice but the headset is so heavy and the discomfort/pains at my forehead and eyes made me very reluctant to put on the headset to start watching the VR movies again, but I like that there is this JAV-VR option readily available now that whenever I have the mood for it and feel courageous enough to endure the VR headset discomfort (weight, uncomfortable fit, annoying wires, etc.), pains on my forehead and my eyes, and all that unpleasant & complicated VR hardware hassles.
The good news is that the Bigscreen brand has a new headset that weights just 128 grams that is supposed to be available later this year. That should solve the problems I have. I just hope that the glasses are as good as the glasses of the Samsung Ody+.
This should not happen. If your eyes are bothering you, maybe you have something wrong configured. You need to know what is your IPD (pupillary distance, they measure it for free at an optician's), and use the Odyssey Plus wheel to set the same IPD.
Maybe the 3D image is not being projected correctly, try another player, which one did you use?
Most of the discomfort VR produces at first is corrected by using it several times, the brain gets used to it quickly.
It is worth the price, but its interface is not very intuitive, it takes a while to learn how to use it. Look for a video showing how it works, or check out their website.
There are some very good VRs in that list you posted, thanks. Too bad some of those actresses have already retired... I love Yuuki Nono but she shoots so few VRs, and most of them only as a supporting actress in threesomes.

Global Media have shown for a third time within 10 titles of the DPVR-ID that they are reviving mature actresses from either retired or 2D only status and using them for VR titles. Kawakami Yuu stars in DPVR-009 and DPVR-010. I have not seen her in VR for a long time... what i find strange is that the DPVR ID was used in 2017-2019 and had many titles.. now again we have new titles with ID's DPVR-001 to DPVR-010... and they appear to be duplicate ID's with different titles and actresses. Regardless.. reiko kobayakawa in dpvr-005 and 006, chisato shota in dpvr-007 and 008 and now kawakami yuu in dpvr-009 and 010 shows a pattern of matures being revived in vr. All these actresses did VR titles between 2017 and 2019 for Global Media under the DPVR ID. I am now hoping that Yumi Kazama who also did DPVR Titles will return under this label as i have not seen her for a long time with madonna

Thank you for all the great info shared in here. After browsing through this forum I finally took the plunge and got a Meta Quest 2. What a stunning experience! I signed up to Czech VR & SLS, managed to purchase some titles from Afesta too.
Since I have a decent PC I followed Wallie's expert advice and got the HereSphere player. All wonderful till I purchase some points from DMM, bought Maki Tomoda's VR downloaded the movie files but the HereSphere player doesn't recognize them. It seems you can only play the video with some DMM vr player? tried to download it but no link seem to be active. Any advice on how to play these content linked to a PC? Thank you in advance!!

Most Quest 2 users (including myself) are actually using Heresphere on the headset itself (HereSphere for Quest https://heresphere.itch.io/heresphere-vr-video-player-quest-2 ) and not the SteamVR version (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1234730/HereSphere_VR_Video_Player/). Reasons for that is that whether you are using Linkcable/Airlink/VirtualDesktop the signal is always compressed with the Quest2, while when running inside the Quest2 itself there is no compression. Also you dont need a cable/ PC and no setup needed. Just start the Quest, open the Heresphere App and you are ready to go. But it seems like that advice is coming a bit late as you got yourself the SteamVR version already.
Videos on DMM have DRM so they only be played with the official players from DMM.

Heresphere Quest 2 version gets subtitle support / New JAV transcription/subbing tool
Finally HereSphere-v0.8. was released and now supports subtitles. The SteamVR version does support it already and finally Quest2-users can use (external) subs as well. srt/ssa and ass files are supported.
Soon i will start creating subs for me videos. Recently in the subtitle thread on Akiba a lot of people seem to have big success using Whisper for creating subtitles. Its an transcribing&translation AI from openAI (the company that created chatGPT) and so far the results seem to be very promising. They are supposed to be much better then subs created with autosub/pytranscriber which is using Google's Text-to-Speech engine and GoogleTranslate or DeepL for translating. PSVR2 has been released and DMM already released an App for PSVR2. According to some twitter users it does not show the 8k Promo video ( ). So there seem to be still some problem right now which i hope they will fix soon.
As PSVR2 will probably be sold a lot more than the Quest2 in japan i expect studios to release 8k content soon. Ideapocket already had an 8k release on their website couple of weeks ago (IPVR-206) but it disappeared after a while.

Everything surrounding this launch is very strange. They released the first titles at 8K resolution on A Festa VR, I bought one with Chisato Shota and it looked amazing. But you could only get it at 8K in the Japanese store, in the English store they are at 4K. Luckily you can buy it on the English one and download it on the Japanese one with the same account.
But strangely, the latest releases are in 6K, they are no longer at 8K.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, all these titles are very bad. The camera is always far away, the sex scenes are always more than 1 meter away from the camera, there are no face to face scenes, and only two types of shot: cowgirl far away and missionary far away.
I will not buy any more titles if they are all like this. For me that's not VR, that's 3D TV. The are filmed like 2018 VRs. We are now in 2023.

There is no turning back, the experience is incredible, another level.
Unfortunately DMM titles are DRM protected, you can only view them in their own player, which is very bad. I think the only way to download them is to install a Chrome plug-in that downloads them as you play them in the browser.
Only A Festa VR sells DRM-free titles that can be downloaded on PC or wherever you want, too bad they only have KMP and SOD VR titles.

Thanks for your recommendations, there are some very good titles there. Unfortunately there is very little gokkun content in VR. Some titles have come out, but I don't have them because I'm not a fan, and I don't remember the iDs. If I see any titles again I'll post them here!!!
Good news for all Quest 2 users. I've been using subtitles on the PC version for a few months now, which I translated myself with pytranscriber, but the translation is not very good. It only translates 30 or 40% of the texts well. I want to try Whisper, to see how it works.
Of the Sugoi VR awards I only like VRKM-738 and VRKM-794. I can't understand how a movie where the girl wears a mask can be awarded. I don't find anything erotic about that.
I have PSVR2 since last week, although I won't use it for porn. But it's good news that DMM has released an app. Let's see if they finally release the 8K titles they've been promising since last summer.
Is there a way to enjoy these videos native without having to use a PC (Heresphere)? I'm planning on buying a Pico 4 VR for this purpose but if the experience will not be good unless tethered to a PC, I think I'll hold out for now.
Quest 2 and Pico 4 are standalone glasses, you can use them perfectly without a PC...
@Walle12 I see, thanks for the response. I guess the Pico 4 VR will still be a good buy for me then. It's available in-stock where I live for about $399 (128GB model). By the way, I'm a bit weirded out how there's no discussion of any good adult VR games - Honey Select 2, AI Shoujo etc. Now that more realistic models are possible because of Unreal Engine 5/Metahuman I think we should now be seeing the next generation of these adult games. Do you know of any forums/threads that discuss games like these?
