I am repeating again - the actress name is NOT Reiko Hiraoka > it's
RIEKO HIRAOKA.
In Japan the names may be looking/hearing similar - but Reiko and Rieko are nonetheless - totally different names.
I have posted here in forum repeatedly about that difference.
See -
"Just, please - pay attention that
Rieko and
Reiko are different female names in Japan.
The short version female names are -
Rie and
Rei - for some reason some parents add that
-ko ending
(means - child, so in case of woman - girl, girlish - one can compare in German > Grete > Gretchen)
So - hopefully those girlish names
Reiko and
Rieko show - how much their parents wish their child/daughter
should look younger and merrier.
FYI - some well known actresses with those names short version -
Rie Takeuchi, Rie Tachikawa, Rie Nishina, Rie Miyagi
Rei Kitajima, Rei Aoki, Rei Kimura, Rei Yuuki

How is written Rieko in Japanese (Kanji) >
里枝子 = Rieko. 平岡
里枝子 = Hiraoka Rieko
How is written Reiko in Japanese (Kanji) >
怜子 = Reiko. 小早川
怜子 = Kobayakawa Reiko
Most Japanese family names have a meaning - some of them from Mother nature.
See -
Kobayakawa - 小早川 > means - small, starting river. Not very popular family name.
Hiraoka - 平岡 > Flat level hill ( laying before higher mountains). Quite popular family name in Japan.
