1. Translated, using DeepSeek v3.2, a Chinese subtitle from the huge subtitle pack posted here by @t221152
2. Did nothing else other than a quick cleanup of the translation to fix some line breaks and formatting.

1. Audio extracted and transcribed using WhisperWithVAD_Pro - both original speed audio and slowed audio.
   • Audio normalized using dynaudnorm and speechnorm filters in ffmpeg.
2. The slowed down audio transcriptions were adjusted back to the correct timing.
3. Transcriptions cleaned to remove (most) hallucinations and other junk.
4. All transcription versions were AI translated using DeepSeek v3.2.
5. The "best" translation of each line from the versions was used in the final translation.
6. Both VTT and SRT subtitle versions are in the zip.

As always...
... I don't speak nor read Japanese so there are certain to be lots of mistakes.
It'd be extra-shiny if mistakes could be pointed out or corrected.

… I use a couple of home-grown scripts that are quite specific to my workflow. My coding is embarrassingly bad so I’d also need to spend some time tidying up those scripts to make them fit to share.

I’ll see what I can do but it won’t be until I have some free time. Probably not this week.

I think it’s quite likely you’ll run into a limit with an entire subtitle file with most AIs. If you must use a chat interface you might get away with translating smaller sections (maybe 50 - 100 lines at a time), along with an instruction prompt, and then rejoining the sections. That could get tedious though.

One of the scripts I use chops a subtitle file into chunks, translates via an API and rejoins the translated chunks. Along with some other processing.

I tidied up my audio extraction and processing script today. But my translation script is much bigger and uglier, so that may take me several days to tidy.

One request: could you post in srt format instead of vtt in future? I have to convert the files in Subtitle Edit in order to see what's inside. Since vtt doesn't have line numbers, Aegisub won't open them. Thank you again.
