Ayone have tips for using LLMs to help with translation? Seems sexual content is mostly fine as long as it's single sentences or words from the dialogue. They can take context into account and generate more natural dialogue if asked not to be too literal.

I'm probably on a list somewhere... Claude refused to translate a half hour subtitle, saying the content was likely illegal and telling me to delete the file. After some back and forth with single sentences with ChatGPT I realized Marie Konishi is alternating between calling the same person a naughty boy and dirty old man, which made Claude go nuts

I don't have tips for doing it in chunks, but giving it context when things don't match will help the translation since Japanese often relies on that to know what is being said. Otherwise it's just a guess and you get weird stuff.

One day there might be a whisper thing that can analyze the video as well to get proper context, but we're not there yet.

I just love this oldie Mother-Son themed Incest JAV. I had downloaded a Sub for it several years ago but didn't go any further because of the video quality but I recently used a "AI Enhancement" tool on the video and decided to proceed. ​

The downloaded Sub was, I believe, created from hard-coded Subbed video clips by Spikespen. Because Spikespen only Subbed clips there were numerous gaps in dialog when applied to the entire movie. I used WhisperJAV0.7 to attempt to fill these gaps and I also attempted to clean it up a bit and re-interpreted some of the meaningless/ "lewd-less" dialog. Again, I don't understand Japanese so my re-interpretations might not be totally accurate but I try to match what is happening in the scene. Anyway, enjoy and let me know what you think. ​

Although some say Spikespen's Subs were not accurate, they brought life to JAV movies for me, as someone who doesn't understand the language and was one of the reasons for me switching to Japanese AVs.​

4/26/25 8:57 am I just realized I did a final timing adjustment to bring the "Spikespen Sub" into alignment with the video, but now the WhisperJav0.7 fill-ins are out of sync! Grrrr! Will provide update soon.

Nice Chuckie!!! This was one of the very first JAVs I ever saw! This is the one with Yuri Sanada as one of the hot moms! One of my favorite JAV Milfs from back in the day who had some great Mom son titles! JUC-136; HIMA-15; SKSS-25; KOA-15; MDYD-456; JUC-188; HKD-10. Yuri was perky and hot as hell! This is the first time I've tried translating anything. I'm trying to learn japanese and it was a fun way to get some practice and I learned a lot. I used AI to rip a transcript and then went line by line comparing the hiragana to what was being said to make sure the usual MTL garble wasn't in it. There are a few lines I had to liberally interpret and a line I couldn't make legible towards the end no matter how hard I tried so yeah sorry if that kills a boner. Pointing out any translation errors would be appreciated, especially the one I just mentioned (If replying in the thread isn't ok PMing would be fine as well.)
