You may find it strange but I've never watched a gravure movie, so my question may seem a bit silly to you... What do they do in these movies, just undress?
I like realistic VR, that's why “girlfriend experiences” are my favorite movies. Or the ones where you're with your coworker, neighbor, etc. Real situations. I say that because those gravure movies in the pictures, look realistic. And with such spectacular girls like Sasaki Saki, Asano Kokoro, Miyashita Rena, or Yoshizawa Ria, if they are slow and sensual nudes, I wouldn't mind watching them, and even buy some in VR.... But not in 2D, I can't go back to flat video anymore.
Err, there's no fixed definition of gravure video actually. There may or may not be nudity, it depends on the girl in it. Usually only the AV stars will fully strip down but there are some girls who will get fully nude despite not doing AV. Most gravure videos never go beyond very skimpy lingerie, and some of the girls might actually remain relatively conservative as far as underwear goes. No thongs, tops cover most of their breasts, etc. There might occasionally be simulated sex scenes, as the girl will pretend to be riding you but there usually aren't any sex toys or masturbation. They might take out a lollipop and lick it very suggestively though.
Gravure videos normally have multiple scenes with different outfits and background. There's almost always one at the beach or pool. Usually one in a bedroom. Often one in a bathroom. There will be long lingering shots of the girls in sexy outfits. When they undress its never in a hurry. One piece at a time. Like if they take off their shirt, than you get to seem in bra and a skirt for a while before the skirt comes off. And than there will be shots panning across their entire body, some close ups, etc before they start to take off the underwear. You get the idea.
They are almost always GFE experiences, as in the girl will frequently call you senpai if she's in school uniform. They usually feel like very intimate experiences with the girls. But it really depends on the studio and how well they do it.
When it comes to the AV girls, Rebecca, Air Control and MBD are the standout ones. I especially like MBD cos they never shy away from pointing the camera at the vagina and they try to do it without needing to use mosaic so they can get quite strategically risque or artistic about it. Like using foam, the girl crosses her legs, a biscuit, etc. Rebecca will just often lazily put a mosaic sometimes even when there is no need for one.

But here's the problem - there's are hardly any gravure in VR. And I don't think it's so easy to make gravure in VR. VR has to be shot in 1 continuous take after all. Its not like they can pause the shoot just to strategically place some cookies on the girls.
When it comes to AV stars, the closest thing to it is CCVR-028. The type where you can see some nudity.
There's some poor quality early gravure VRs using the codes CAIM, VRCAND, and VRSBMO. Those didn't sell well I think cos they didn't really make anymore. Shame, really. SBMO does some really good gravure with Miyanishi Hikaru where she goes by the name Takahashi Mirai
