I had a quick look at 3DSVR-1650. It's certainly an interesting release but it has it's problems. In general there is a shimmering around the skin. Looks like a forcefield. But the most noticeable issue is with the teeth. Whatever filter they are applying it can't keep up with opening/closing the mouth. It often looks like a third row of teeth which is very distracting. Anyone who liked this release?

Also I'm 95% certain that this is not Monami Takarada's body unless she has gained some serious weight in the last couple weeks

I'm surprised you don't like CRVR-335, it has all the angles you (and me) like: close up camera, nudity, close cowgirl and close missionary.... I do like it quite a bit, except for the actor, who is quite old, and has a patch on his chest (I guess to cover a tattoo).

What doesn't convince me about AJVR-250 is that other movies have already been shot with the camera under the sheets, and it doesn't work well. The problem is that the girl is more concerned with holding the sheet so that it doesn't cover the camera, than anything else. Or she can't move at all to avoid getting tangled with the sheet. But well, we have to wait to watch the result. Yazawa Receiver is an expert director and if anyone can shoot this kind of film well, it's him.

The difference between 15-25 mbits and 80 mbits is clearly visible on the Quest 3, even on Quest 2.

Glad to hear it. But then I'm surprised that virtually no one complains in Fanza reviews. I guess most are still watching VR on mobile...

Ha ha, you are absolutely right. All of Crystal VR's “girlfriend experience” are clones, literally. But unlike the Unfinished VR clones, these have all the angles I like, and you see the girl from the front and back, so I don't really care that they are clones.

But speaking of 'boring' GFE releases. I enjoyed 3DSVR-1616 and 3DSVR-1641. They were very well done I think. In the past few weeks SOD is becoming one of my favorite studios What is going on...

3DSVR-1616 is awesome, I haven't watched 3DSVR-1641 yet. I also think they have improved in the last two months, because they are launching some mainstream content among so much niche. But they still annoy me a lot. I'm still waiting for a VR of various actresses where they are not forced.... For example I really want to watch a VR with Kago Rina, they have released three and all of them are crap, the last one this one, where they basically tie her up and r*** her....



I would love a "girlfriend experience" VR with this girl... Or al least a "normal" VR where you are not a r**ist...

Hmm, long holiday overseas and I come back to only 1 VR video that really excites me is SIVR-384 by Sakakibara Moe who I really wanted to see in VR. Haven't watched it yet though.

Oh, and 3DSVR-1622 with Takahashi Honami who I think is quite pretty and has the rare yoga theme. I like the sudden burst of Miyagi Rie VRs but they were mostly alright only.

I was watching SIVR-384 a couple of days ago and I liked it quite a lot, Sakakibara Moe made a very good impression on me. Very pretty and quite slutty with the language during sex....

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it, but I haven't commented because it seems I'm just complaining all day... But I have the same frustration. No movie of her in months, 90% of the ones she's done are crap, with mediocre studios, and now that she's back with a decent studio, she cuts her hair and dyes it with... I don't even know what color it is... At least this title has the angles I like....

The same thing happened to me when I watched the trailer. In general, the level of girls has dropped a lot in VR in the last year. Most of them don't look attractive to me, especially if you compare them to others that are in 2D....

Like you, I look at the upcoming releases, there are 50 titles and there is not one that catches my attention. Let's hope that the studios are saving the good titles with star actresses for this Christmas....

How was your stay in Japan, anything interesting to tell us?

Well, I first really got into JAV VR by renting a headset at one of their many video cafes (Takarajima24, Kintaro, etc.) and being quite impressed by the experience. Made me realize that it was worth getting a proper headset as compared to using a phone.

I had no reason to go back to those cafes for the VR experience since I have my own headset which is better than the what they have. Regardless, they're kinda useful when you need to place to hold up for a night should you be stranded cos you missed the last train. Taxis in Japan are very expensive. Capsule hotels aren't necessarily cheap either, nor is it easy to find a decent one. So your options are whether or not the area has a 24 hour spa (rare but probably the best option) or one of these cafes.

Of course, only guys are allowed to use them. Not all of them have VR for rent but all of them pretty much stock JAV DVDs and some gravure. You need to be able to speak some basic Japanese cos most of the workers don't know English. They won't really turn away foreigners but it helps if you can communicate without relying on Google translate. System is not that hard to understand. You grab a basket, pick 6 dvds, than go to the counter and tell them what type of room you want (if there are options, like sitting only or able to lie down) and how long you want. Than you pay up and they'll give you a key. Than you bring your dvds with you, go up to your room where there will be a TV and DVD player. You can always go back down and swap dvds.

If its a VR experience, as I recall you get a slightly different room. No TV. The heatset required a cable. The setup isn't so simple. Really helps if you know some Japanese. VR rental is a rather more expensive but I can't remember how much. Even so, its a great place to try out JAV VR for the first time if you're wondering what difference a headset would make.

Actually spent a few hours in one on this trip cos I was tired of walking for a moment and wanted a place to rest. Its something like 2k yen for about 6 hours at night, costs you a bit more during the day. About 1k+ for 2 hours in day time. Not a bad price. I mean coffee and cake would cost you that much at a cafe but you can't really chill for long at such places anymore as there's almost always a line of people wanting to get in these days.

There are also actual proper net cafes that are also accesible to women. The one I use is Net Manboo. These aren't so simple for foreigners to use - especially if you don't know any Japanese at all. Some of them might outright turn you away the moment you have to rely on Google translate. There was one time when the girl at the counter told me the place isn't a cybercafe and I surprised her by telling her in Japanese that I understood the system and than I showed her my membership card. Might not be so simple for the rest of you. Its also a great places to relax for a while. They are usually much cleaner and also feature showers for rent. The PC tends to be laggy and slow. You can't play games on it but you can watch an unlimited amount of JAV and gravure if you know how to navigate it. No VR in these, obviously.

Aside from that, not much stories to tell. Its just a holiday. Tokyo is full of foreign tourists right now. I went with all sorts of plans on where I would like to eat but ended up nixing most of them simply cos of the long lines. Any eateries that went viral on social media, you can forget about eating there unless you don't mind waiting in line - a very long line. You also need to make bookings weeks in advance on several popular attractions like TeamLabs.

Its not as enjoyable a holiday as my previous trips. Oddly enough, I kinda wish the yen would strengthen a bit so the crowd dies down. Yeah, stuff will be more expensive but I preferred when Japan wasn't so saturated with tourists.

Famous photo spots are full of asshats trying to capture the perfect photo for social media. These idiots don't care who they inconvenience while doing so.

Now is the perfect time to go for most people simply cos of the lower yen. Its just that flight tickets are also rather expensive right now.

At this point, its probably those dedicated VR ones you see on Afesta as well I think. I'm not sure, I didn't try this round, but I do recall seeing those on sale on Japanese shops. You can only watch videos on them, can't play games. I have actually been gaming with my Quest 3 as well.

The one I tried previously was a very old model. Pretty sure it wasn't reliant on a phone but I had to plug in a cable for the internet connection.

Most folks actually do know how to behave. But there's always some asshats in a crowd. And the larger the crowd, the more asshats there are.

I think the weariness isn't so much related to those asshats as much as international tourists are driving prices up even for locals. They can't go on holiday in their own country cos hotel rates went up cos of the demand from all the international tourists. Local attractions are saturated and crowded with global tourists. Disneyland and Universal Studios are already famously crowded and require hours long queues just from local tourists alone. Imagine the situation with global tourists too. They now need some sort of online queue system to limit access to popular park sections.

Any eatery that has good food and has been discovered by some influencer will have long queues making it impossible for locals to stop by during their lunch break, or even for dinner if they are tired. Many places have taken advantage to jack up their prices just to take advantage of tourist demand and this is especially noticeable around the famous Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. And in both Shinjuku and Shibuya.

Tokyo trains are already famously crowded during rush hour. Now they also have to make room for tourists with their luggage. Imagine their annoyance at that situation. And yes, certain neighborhoods you will hear the trundle of luggage wheels almost perpetually as tourists drag their luggage through uneven surfaces to get to their hotels and airbnb.

I can see how all of that will start to grate on their nerves. But they do appreciate the influx of foreign currency.

Bit of a rant on the current state of JAV VR.

One of my favorites despite having only 1 VR so far, Yuzuki Ria, has gone over to Attackers and you know how they are like with VR. Ugh...

I don't know why, but there have been no more VR titles of Asano Kokoro from S1. I think she's one of the most beautiful and natural girls to do VR, and she had 2 in a short space near the end of last year but not 1 this year. What gives? I mean Mita Marin, another S1 girl that I also rate highly, has been reasonably active this year even if I don't really like both those themed titles.

Nanasawa Mia still isn't doing more VR. Yagi Nana needs to do more, and not that weird crap like the recent one. I also need more VR from the other Moodyz stars like Ishikawa Mio, Miyashita Rena, and Ono Rikka.

WIshing Kawakita Saika recovers soon and gets back to VR. Really miss her.

What happened to Hibino Uta? Hasn't made any VRs lately except for that group one with Honnaka. Weird.

Faleno has some gorgeous girls and its a shame they don't really do much VR. Well, they have 4 recent releases but they're all of the plastic Mashiro Mami. I have my eye on Yoshizawa Ria. She's gorgeous and has a soft lithe body type, the sort I like, and I only have her gravure videos so far.

I need to see this in VR. Make it happen, Faleno. DO IT! Cast that plastic girl aside and get this one in front of the VR cameras instead.

True, it is an issue to be taken into account. Japan is an overpopulated country, especially in the cities. There you have to wait in line for almost everything, and if on top of that it gets crowded with tourists.... It must be chaos for those who live there.

I told you this a few months ago and unfortunately it is coming true. The type of girl you like, slender, small breasted, fair skinned, paipan, is less and less used in VR.

In VR what sells, and what gets hired, are big boobs, no matter if they are natural or plastic. Thank god some studios like Moodyz and S1 try to give priority to natural tits, but the rest don't care.
For some reason, the ideal Japanese girl standard, which is yours, is disappearing, and JAV VR it's becoming more and more westernized.

I'm lucky that I'm not that picky. If the girl is all natural, it's fine with me, I don't care if her tits are bigger or smaller, her skin is lighter or darker, paipan or hairy.... But my favorite type of Japanese girl, is yours. I would pay anything for more VRs with Nanasawa Mia, Yagi Nana, Ishikawa Mio, Miyashita Rena, Ono Rikka, Mita Marin, Kawakita Saika, Hibino Uta.... As long as they don't play the role of sex workers, which is all S1, Moodyz or Kawaii do now....

Yoshizawa Ria looks awesome, but I don't expect anything from Faleno... As you say, They've been a year releasing 4 VRs with that girl with the plastic boobs and the scars under her boobs, they must have shot them in one weekend....

Let's hope that this Christmas big studios have prepared some surprises with their actresses. A cross-over like the ones you mentioned that have been released in 2D, with girls from Moodyz and S1... Strangely, those 2D movies are in POV, they look like they were shot for VR....

Haha, fair skinned isn't such a huge priority for me. I do like Kinoshita Himari a lot after all. Likewise, paipan isn't such a huge priority anymore. I mean those girls are more likely to be my favorites list, but Urara Kanon is on it too and she's real hairy down there. Too bad she's retired I think...

While I do prefer smaller breasts, I'm OK with larger ones too as long as they don't go past a certain size. Kinda arbitrary how large but I do like them perky. Once they droop too much or make me start thinking of cows, I get turned off. Like you, I also prefer natural. For some reason, I'm willing to overlook Mori Hinako but only her and I still prefer her older stuff without the enhancements.

I don't actually mind the sex worker trope though as long as its not the only thing they do. I mean I find it better than nurse. Or the drunk, drugged or r*** themes.

Yes, that application is spectacular... The fact that it can convert a flat image to 3D in real time is revolutionary, and it looks pretty good too. I am surprised by the little repercussion it has had...

But it's sad that, with about 100 VRs a month being released, you have to be converting flat video to 3D because there's nothing in VR that appeals to you... The same thing happens to me, but what I do is to take advantage of my collection and watch old VRs. Some I had only watched once, and I almost didn't remember them.

I don't know if it's that we're the weird ones, or that VR only makes niche content, or very mediocre content, that has little VR in it.

I need something more to look at when there is only one girl, but it all depends on how well the “image video” as you call them is made, and if I really like the girl.
For example yesterday I was watching AJVR-250, which is basically an “image video” getting into the clothes of Amatsuki Azu... It's true that there's sex, but in this one I'd be fine with just getting inside Azu's blouse or skirt...

In the end, it's what I always say... with 100 VRs released per month, 80% of them clones of each other, if they released a VR, even just one, an “image video” or a lesbian one, I think they would sell. But nobody takes the risk.

Anyway, there is a studio that only does image video VRs, I think. This came out this week...

I thought Chiharu retired earlier this year, which makes me wonder for how long Honnaka sat on this title before the decided to release it.

It's strange that they launch two VRs so close together... They usually only releases one every 2 or 3 months. I haven't watched the trailer, but on the cover it looks like the girls are alone, not together in a harem. Maybe they do one part alone and another part together.
