JAV VR: News, comments about releases, recommendations, hardware

I find the skin more natural and realistic with the DMM camera than with the CzechVR camera. It may be because of the lighting. I like the skin realism of this DMM camera better.

The problem we are going to have with JAV VR at 8K is that we are not going to be able to download it, at least until it arrives at A Festa. And even so, at A Festa they always put versions with less bitrate than in Fanza.

The "unofficial" copies are going to come from streaming, and will always be lower quality than the download versions offered by CzechVR, SLR, etc. I have downloaded movies with 100 GB files at SLR, with 150 Mbps bitrate.
No matter how good DMM's 8K camera is, if we only get streaming versions, the quality will always be lower than the legal downloads allowed by European and North American studios.

Huh, i didn't realize but it's true, the bitrate is surprisingly low. So you're telling me it can look even better? :blink:

Btw isn't Kana exclusive to Idea Pocket? So it was shot by their team? A chance to see Minami Aizawa in 8k...

I know people speak highly about CVR quality, but for me their videos always looked odd. Maybe it has more to do with how it's lit and directed.

sad, I dont know but perhaps there might be other websites......but R18 felt so good and easy (well atleast for someone non-japanese like me). Found so many IDs from it even actresses from the Image recognition......sadge its ending :(

You can buy the titles of SOD VR, KMP and some others at A Festa VR, with downloads and without DRM, you can use any player. I have bought a lot of titles here without problems.

SLR (SexLikeReal) has said that they are negotiating with DMM to be able to sell their titles in VR, but probably only in streaming.

There are actually some ways. You would need a HLS Stream Downloader.

There are countless plugins such as Video DownloadHelper, but sometimes they are rather slow. Faster performing are command line tools like youtube-dl. You can generate the correct command with a Firefox extension called "The Stream Detector".
The only downside is that the highest resolution that is being streamed (and therefore can be downloaded is 3840x1920 instead of the usual 4096x2048).

Sorry for the late reply, Thanks for the suggestion.

I did see that post earlier, but its different studio or just random JAV streaming sites. Nothing like R18, it just had the pefect layout, the preview worked smoothly, the site was structured, was so easy to browse new IDS....everything was proper. I guess Ill just have to forget about R18 and move on to what ever is there available. Cos as of yet I don't thing anything similar to R18 exists with English version comparative, I guess or I hope we get something like it in future.
 
i think its completely offensive that purchased titles are not able to be downloaded. i am thankful that i used their site mainly for reference purposes and purchased less than 10 titles. To close down a site preventing purchased titles being viewed without giving the option to download should be illegal
 
Maybe it is offensive, but it is legal. Digital stores like R18 sell licenses, not products. You pay to watch in streaming, if they close, goodbye.

It is the reason I only buy at stores where I can download without DRM, like A Festa VR or SLR.

For the people who like matures (there are so few in VR), I am very happy to say that Madonna VR has improved A LOT in the last two months. Her latest titles are much more immersive, with the camera closer and more face to face shots.

Hopefully they will keep this new style but with their big stars like Maki Hojo and Maki Tomoda, we are still waiting for a proper VR movie with them!

for those who like the petite... can you remember mimi yazawa? she debuted for minimamu in 2016 and was the smallest jav actress i have ever seen. she did a few vr titles in the early low res days of vr and then i assume retired. Well 6 years after her debut she is back and not looking a day older... though her name has changed to hinata iori. Also a pretty good rara kudou scene in this title.
