I dont think you can rest the blame solely on the direction/editing/production/casting.
I have a feeling the censorship authorities in Japan instruct the movies production team to remove certain sections of the blowjob scenes when the movies are submitted for release.
I'm obviously not and expert in the production of JAV movies but it is well know Japan has some of the most restrictive censorship laws on the planet ( mosaic is a perfect example ) and i get the feeling a lot of the most erotic snake tongue action is instructed to be removed by the censoring authorities prior to the film being able to be released. The 'jump cuts' in blowjob scenes in movies are to extreme (in my opinion) to be the decision of the director or editing team. Why would they film the whole blowjob scene to then hack it to pieces in the editing process ?
The jump cuts sometimes completely ruin the erotic flow of the scene and it just seems to me that somebody ( the censoring authority ) has instructed the makers of the movie to remove portions of the blowjob scene as they deem them to be to obscene , which is frustrating to me and completely unnecessary , as there are far more disturbing elements left in some movies ( vomiting and the scat stuff )
A good example is the recent movie from Shinoda Yuu PRED-304 . The earlier AROMA movies are the best up to around the mid 2010's . The later movies have horrible mosaics on them, ARM-918 could have been great if it wasnt for the mosaic.
AROMA to me has the best camera angles and direction of most blowjob themed movies and are not afraid to linger on the blowjob action. The series ' You've been sucked in a row twice' has some great blowjob examples.
