Well, here is my list of the best of 2025. Realistic, immersive, and intimate VRs, boring for most people, may no longer exist in 2027. For those who seek maximum realism where you believe that you are with the woman you see in the video, not watching a video.

10 - IPVR-347

The best debut VRs of 2025 were those from Idea Pocket, by far. I chose this one, but IPVR-335, 336, and 337 would have made the list as well. Not only are the girls young and beautiful, but the movies are immersive, and you can explore their bodies from every angle.
I chose Yamada Suzuna's debut because it has something unusual for a debut: hard, raw sex where the girl sweats and rides so hard in cowgirl position that she even gets snot running down her face.
I think Suzuna has had nose surgery, and in the movie, something is wrong with her eye, a stye or something, because it's swollen. But she has a teen body and spectacular milky skin. And having her kiss me with her face covered in sweat and snot really turns me on.
9 - 3DSVR-1760

I think this is the last realistic and intimate VR released by SOD, back in September. They used to make one every so often, but now they don't even do that.
Satsuki Nao is a girl I love, with incredible tits and curves to die for. I also think she's very pretty. And she hasn't succumbed to the extreme diets of her colleagues. It's a mega immersive film and has all the positions. The last of its kind at SOD.

This year, Madonna's movies with her star actresses haven't convinced me. They all have the stupid spider camera, or sex on the dirty floor of a store, or oils and fetishistic things. As with S1 and Idea Pocket, their best VRs are those with debutantes, which focus on immersion and realism. Any of their debuts are great, but these two have surprised me because these two actresses are more mature than I usually like, but they've managed to turn me on with their well-groomed bodies and flawless skin.
Plus, only with Madonna Genius Knee (GK) shoots scenes with asses and backs, along with his immersive face-to-face scenes. So they're perfect.
7- SIVR-401

With an angelic face, dreamy breasts, and curves to die for, Miyu is a goddess who doesn't bother with diets, and we're all grateful for that. With each new VR, her performance gradually improves. Here, ZAMPA does an acceptable job (the seated cowgirl is good, the missionary is a little far away), but for me, just having Miyu around is enough.

This VR baffles me because it's identical to GK's premium movies. Outdoor scenes, very intimate and immersive, although the camera isn't as close in the face-to-face scenes.
This year, GK has recaptured the essence of VR, which is feeling like you're inside a scene just because VR allows you to, without it having anything to do with sex. But here, ZAMPA does the same thing, in an unforgettable walk with Saika through a Japanese city, just for the pleasure of walking hand in hand with one of the most beautiful women on the planet. This is what makes VR superior to everything else, a pity that ZAMPA has only applied it in this VR this year.
5- AJVR-270

In one of his rare moments of lucidity in 2025, Yazawa Receiver recalled in this VR how he used to shot when he was the best in the world, the master of GK.
The movie is based on a fetish: sniffing the sweaty body of a girl who has just finished exercising at the gym. A fetish that excites me. Unfortunately, it's poorly done, because the sweat is water spray and oil. But if that's the excuse to set the camera five centimeters from the body of the wonderful Kawakita Meisa, and explore it inch by inch, I'll take the bait.
It's a mega-immersive VR, with a complete exploration and face-to-face scenes. One of those rare movies where you feel the girl's presence. A glimpse of lucidity from Yazawa, who faded away for the rest of the year.
4- HNVR-152

Once in a lifetime, a planetary conjunction occurs, an alliance of impossibilities, which you know will not happen again in a thousand years.
Kasui Jun had retired, only one or two of Honnaka's 150 VRs have close missionary without clothes, Genius Knee was hanging out there and they said to him, “Hey, do you want to film Jun's comeback?” The result was a dream come true: Kasui Jun naked, in incredible face-to-face scenes...
Then the planetary conjunction was confirmed: Jun got plastic tits, and her next two movies have been shit. So I'll treasure this VR.
3- MDVR-385

GK has made four premium VRs with Moodyz this year. I hesitated to include Mitani Akari's farewell (MDVR-371) here, because it is also a masterpiece, but I chose Ishihara Nozomi's because it has outdoor scenes and a rural setting, which is more sophisticated than Akari's typical modern bedroom.
It's two and a half hours of intimate sex where there's so much face-to-face time that you get the feeling that Nozomi forgets she's in a movie and is just being herself. Maximum realism. With GK trying out new camera angles, such as a close-up missionary shot with the girl on her side. VR at its best.
2- MDVR-380

The great gift from Genius Knee in 2025, and from Moodyz, is to let us spend three hours with their star actresses. They play themselves and tell you things about their daily lives. They are acting, but they seem like themselves, real women, not porn actresses.
Going for a walk, having a picnic, and chatting about trivial things with Yagi Nana or Mio is already worth the price of the VR. But there are still two hours of intimate and loving sex, with the camera five centimeters from their bodies and faces, in all positions, where you think you can even feel the beating of their heart:
These are not porn movies. They are virtual experiences of a dream date with Nana or Mio. The most realistic experience ever seen, outside of reality. This is what porn in VR was invented for.
Unfortunately, Yagi Nana has become so thin that she has lost all her appeal for me. She is saved by the fact that she is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, but this will probably be the last movie of hers that I buy, if she continues to be so skinny.

Everything I said about the Nana movie applies to this one, because its structure, positions, angles, and distances are identical; only the actress has changed.
Mio is so charming in the atmospheric scenes that it's unreal. She constantly kisses you, caresses you, holds your hand, and asks you to ignore anyone who recognizes her, saying, “I'll pretend he's mistaken me for someone else.”
It's a movie that made me think after watching it: Would I be able to accept Ishikawa Mio as a partner? She's perfect, attentive, and sensitive, the sex is intimate and loving, but when she goes to work, she fucks and lets all kinds of guys drool over her, some of them quite disgusting... My first answer was “No,” but after watching this movie...
The best VR of all time.

BEST ACTRESS
Kawakita Meisa / Ootori Miyu
I was about to leave this section blank, I even downloaded a photo of a desert. In 2025, I don't have any favorite actress with more than two VRs. The exclusives haven't shot anything else that I like, the freelancers have shot more, but with mediocre VRs with mediocre studios, which are 90% of freelance studios.
Kawakita Meisa has filmed a few this year, but the only one that doesn't suck is the one in the Top 10. She, on the other hand, is perfect: beautiful, a dazzling smile, and a great body. She's perfect in AJVR-270, and I assume she's perfect in the rest too, because she never fails, so I'll stick with her.
NEW ACTRESS
Hanamori Kaho
For me, Kaho has it all. I don't understand how Idea Pocket let her get away. She's cute, has a perfect teen body, knows how to act, is interactive, and has a charming smile and laugh.
Now that she's freelance, I hope she can escape the clutches of SOD and SAVR, which burn actresses with trashy movies, and shoot some quality movies in 2026. Or that she signs with Moodyz.
I also have to mention
Kawaguchi Sakura, who only has one VR, MDVR-381. I was enchanted by her beauty, eternal smile and her freshness:

BEST DIRECTOR
Genius Knee (with nuances)
Now that Yazawa Receiver and ZAMPA are lost in their laberinth, the only remarkable director is Genius Knee, whom I admire and hate in equal measure.
He is the only one who has advanced VR in 2025, the only one who has brought something new to the table. He has brought the camera 30 centimeters closer than the rest and perfected face-to-face positions. He has integrated outdoor and stage filming and worked with deeper-than-usual scripts, where the actresses play themselves or simulate a last night with their boyfriend after a breakup, when in reality they are talking about their last movie as porn professionals.
Unfortunately, for me there are two GKs. The one in the three-hour Premium VR is absolute perfection, according to my tastes. Maximum immersion, intimacy, realism, all positions. Five of my top ten films of 2025 are these.
And then there's the 80-90 minute GK, boring movies where he only shoots from the front, the girls don't move, and you can't see their asses or backs. With very slow and boring sex. The biggest and most tragic example for me is Miho Nana's farewell, by far his worst VR. But there are dozens of examples with smaller studios like Attackers or Alice Japan, also with Moodyz and S1, where there's no way to see an ass, and where the sex is super slow. It drives me crazy. Plus, he hasn't shot a Premium movie in months.
BEST STUDIO
Madonna
It's the only studio that has a defined line of work, and sticks to it. The rest are stumbling along: some months they try one thing, other months another. In some months of the year Moody has been a smash hit, in others Idea Pocket... But only Madonna has been consistent all the year.
Until a couple of years ago, it was a mediocre VR company, with SAVR-style releases: the camera always far away, the stomach covered with clothes for fear of showing love handles... Until Yazawa Receive came along and said, “To hell with clothes! I'm going to put the camera 10 centimeters from your skin and you're going to copulate like twenty-somethings in every position!”
Now Madonna is by far the most immersive studio, among other things because its second director is Genius Knee. And, something that confuses me, his best movies outside of his 3-hours VRs are here. When it shoots with young girls and teens, they are like statues, only facing forward, and they don't move. With Madonna, on the other hand, he always shoots in all positions, raw sex, and there are asses and backs galore. I don't get it.
WISHES FULLFILLED IN 2025
Very few. The only one, sort of, is new quality VR studios. Attackers and Premium aren't actually new, but they've returned after years of absence, and they're solid studios. They've released some interesting titles.
DISAPPOINTMENTS OF 2025
+SOD's definitive descent into hell. Everything it does now is trash. Either in content or technically.
+The mediocrity of S1. Mediocre debut actresses, movies with their stars only wearing clothes or costumes, loss of immersion in most of their titles. There are two in my top 10, but more for the actresses than for the VR. And they are practically the only two I have liked all year.
+Miho Nana's farewell VR (SIVR-452). The most boring and least immersive of all the VRs Genius Knee has shot in 2025, and there have been dozens. Thanks, GK.
+Four years without a real lesbian VR movie.
+The almost total disappearance of teen/young actresses, who don't make it into VR.
+The death of virtual “reality” in JAV. Now there's only virtual “fantasy.”
WISHES FOR 2026
I'm becoming increasingly disconnected from JAV VR, so I don't have high hopes. Basically, the same as every year:
+A real lesbian movie in VR, not just lips brushing in a threesome, which is what they call lesbian in VR.
+A close missionary with Suzumori Remu. Five years of shooting VR and it doesn't exist.
+Momozono Rena's return to VR. Almost four years waiting.
A few months ago she announced double exclusivity with Fitch and Madonna, I thought that with Madonna she would finally return to VR, but it seems not.
+More new quality studios.
+More teen/young actresses.
+That the actresses from Moodyz/ S1/ Idea Pocket and others start eating some good steaks and stop being so skinny.
Well, that's my summary. I don't know if there will be a list next year, movies like these are becoming increasingly rare. Immersion, realism and nudity are no longer a priority for anyone except GK.
