Strangely enough, while I enjoy gravure, I don't think the SSR titles will work for me. I can't have the girl starting off naked and than they just start zooming in close. I enjoy the slow tease and having the clothes come off slowly at first.SSR is launching again 8K VRs just with exploration. They last 20 minutes and show the girl from all angles, with the camera up close.
I have to admit that I bought the Akari one.... They're not bad, but they leave you wanting more. And the camera is close, but not too close.
If you really want to shoot girl scouting, stick the camera on the girls damn it.... There's a trailer on Fanza if you're curious:

Most of Moodyz debut VRs from 2023 - early 2024 have 5 minutes of exploration of the girl where they place the camera very close, from all angles. In the debuts of the last few months, they've taken that out....
They also did that with their big stars when they released the 8K videos, in 2023... The good old days when I enjoyed Moodyz movies.... Not like now, they've moved the camera a meter further back, and it's just watching girls in clothes....

I'm preaching in the desert when I say that VRs are becoming less and less immersive, but there's the evidence....
I bought it on Afesta and downloaded (60 GB), but have yet to watch it in VR. What I have watched in 2D, Ema Yano is wonderful. Very cute woman with very sexy curves.
It is true that in the first two scenes almost nothing happens, but the movie is long. The sex scene lasts 52 minutes and there are all the positions I like: doggie, cowgirl, missionary.... I'll let you know when I watch it in VR. Like you, I hope they shoot more VRs with Ema Yano....

Just wondering, what is the typical file size range for VR? the settings you showed me helped but I am still tweaking it, still can't get it to how you have it in the above photo, haven't tried the other players you mentioned yet.

Sent you a pm to continue the conversation there and as not to fill up the thread. It's sort of a side topic and not about new releases/actress news afterall.
It varies a lot, depending on the bitrate they use, which is very different in each studio. A 4K VR usually weight between 10 and 20 GB. An 8K VR from Fanza studios, between 10 and 15 GB. The 8K VRs use a new codec that compresses more without losing quality, so they occupy less.
The 8K VRs from the A Festa store have much more bitrate and are the ones that look much better, they have a size between 35 and 90 GB.
As they don't fit in Quest, what people do is to store them in an external hard disk, and send them to the Quest wirelessly o with the cable, while playing, vía streaming. All players can do it.
But what do you see, or what problems do you have? Explain in more detail so we can help you. With the little you tell us, there is little we can do.
Keep in mind that, once in VR mode, you usually have to adjust things.
If you see the girl too big or too small, use Right (scale). If you see her too far away or too close, use Forward. If you see her blurry, use Sharpen:
HereSphere is the best player but also the most difficult to use, not suitable for beginners. Try another simpler player, like DeoVR, Moon VR, Skybox.
The key is that, in VR Mode, you have to be inside the movie. You are the actor, and the girl must be life-size and in 3D. When she kisses you, you're actually seeing the lips on your face. And if you look left and right, you have to see the room. Not behind your back, because VR movies are shot in 180 degrees (you only see straight ahead and to the sides).
That said, tell us more clearly what is happening to you so that we can help you better.

It's 79 minutes but keep in mind that Idea Pocket doesn't use intros. From the first minute Momo will be already eating you with kisses, while other VRs take 10 or 15 minutes... If it's the KMP ones, half an hour or an hour in which nothing happens...

I like anime and watch quite a bit of it, but I'm not too excited about applying it to a real person. I prefer realistic VR.

I have never mentioned it before in this thread but Ishihara Nozomi made me discover JAV VR. Initally I liked some of her 2D POV movies and wanted more of her. I saw that she had a bunch of VR releases, back then still as a freelancer and well the rest is history.
I also thing that she is massively underappreciated. She has a nice curvy body and is still on of the best JAV VR actresses to me. Always herself, in a good mood while 100% engaged and passionate. She has a unique approach that can't be copied. I also thing that her and Moodyz go very well. They have made a bunch of good releases already. But I would still like seing her again with a great 2-3 hour quality release in 2025.
Damn, you were right about Unfinished. I just had a look at the screencaps of URVRSP-421 and I can't tell this apart from the mediocre releases that KMP has produced over the years. Unfinished was my favorite studio up until a few month ago but they've declined massivly, especially in 2025. This year they had 15 releases and I only liked the two with Shizuka (URVRSP-404 and URVRSP-405). It's not just that almost every release has clothes now in all sex scenes (before it was like 50/50). They also have gotten weirder with the plot and less immersive. They now combine the worst parts of SOD and KMP in +80% of their releases. The angles are terrible and the girls seem less and less engaged. Very disappointing
In general it's good that content like that exists but to me the SSR releases simply lacks quality. My biggest problem is that it looks unnatural, hard to explain it but something about the coloring is off. The result is that it looks very unflatering and the girls look tired or like they are having a cold. I feel the same about most PXVR releases. Might be very subjective, no idea. And yes, I also want this to be as part of a movie with an ongoing plot, not as the entire release.
I can't really help you with the cosplay release. But how is it possible that a man of culture like you has not seen Frieren yet

Well, those are just the ones I have on the last hard drive, which is the one I have connected....
When I connect the others I'll add some more. Almost all of them are from a couple of years of more ago, because as you say in the last year, almost nobody does it anymore... She is wonderful. I like her a lot too. She's attractive, she's always laughing, and she has a great body with curves that I love. Hopefully we'll have some good VR with her in 2025.
It's unfortunate, because I liked its VR too...
I guess the same thing happened to them as happened to KMP. Now they shoots 5 times as many movies, has 5 times less time, and no longer cares about angles or immersion. It's almost all clothed now, even cowgirl has it, and this's one of my red lines for not buying it.
The immersion that was there in 2022 is almost gone. I invite you to watch the whole URVRSP-178, and compare the distances, the angles with any new URVRSP title, even Moodyz, S1.... The camera has moved further back, the girls interact much less, and there is less variety of angles.
And beware, the same thing is starting to happen with Madonna...
I've always wondered why SSR movies look weird (besides the fact that, as you say, they're really bad), and you've given me the answer. On that Akari VR I bought, it's not attractive at all. She even looks “sick”, as you say. And you've hit on the key: it's the lighting. They use a cold light, and that makes the skin look dull, sickly. It doesn't flatter the actresses at all.
I was watching it yesterday and you are absolutely right: Misono Waka looks spectacular. When she was young I didn't like her at all, but now more mature, she looks perfect. Cute, nice, and very interactive during the whole movie. And she has a very sexy body. Plus the angles of the movie are pretty good.

I think the cowgirl looks good. As you can see in the screenshot there is little distance to the actor's body. Plus she is continuously kissing you and whispering things in your ear, so she gets close all the time.... If you want to see a far cowgirl, just watch Ibuki's last VR.... Damn Moodyz...
I don't know what player you use, but if it's HereSphere, you can zoom in on the girl with the Forward option in the Origin menu...
Or with the controllers, pressing a trigger and moving the stick up or down, you move the angle of the image and zoom in only the lower part, so the girl is closer without using zoom.
The only thing I didn't like is that at the end of the missionary, the actor holds her hands and his hands and arms are all the time in front of the camera. That's a big mistake, it can be done in the middle of the scene, but not at the end. We don't want to see the male hands there...

In SSR-022 there are some close-ups of her nose seen from below, and the scars from the surgery are clearly visible....
A pity that such beautiful, young and perfect girls undergo unnecessary surgeries.
For now I will continue to watch and buy her VRs (if they are any good) because the scars are hardly noticeable and her beautiful face hasn't changed, but I hope she stops here and doesn't continue with this surgery nonsense.
Everything becomes more noticable in such high detail, good and bad. If this was made now with her recent surgery it would be quite scary to look at.
She was stunning. For me one of the most beautiful girls in JAV. Her nose was perfect, too.

It depends on the studio, but in normal AV videos usually release 2-3 months after filming.
