I agree that 30 Mbps is the minimum acceptable. At 30 Mbps they look OK. Not as good as the 80 or 100 Mbps of A Festa, but 30 Mbps would be acceptable.
Moodyz launched at least 3 VRs in December (MDVR-326, 331 and 335). You probably don't remember them because one has plastic boobs, one is just clothes, and the is nurse themed, I think also plastic boobs. I had completely forgotten about them, I had to look them up.
For me Moodyz has been the big disappointment of 2024 (as of April), but when it wants it's the best. What's strange to me is not that it hasn't released any VRs in January, but that there aren't any announced for the next few weeks. Same as S1. I hope it's just a Christmas vacation thing.
No news from them. I just downloaded a scene again, and it still looks bad...

The problem with rejection is that really there is no lesbian in VR. What we have are hybrid movies, lesbian scenes tucked inside a threesome. Those who don't like lesbian are pissed off to see them in a threesome, and those of us who like lesbian, find it too soft, because it's kissing and little else. So they piss everybody off.
That's why I say there should be lesbian-only VR movies. Whoever doesn't like them will leave them alone, and we fans will enjoy them. There are already some, but they suck. The latest SOD ones are in first person. But if you're a dude, you don't want to be a chick, it's weird. And you can't see anything, if you're getting sucked.
They should be in third person, and the ones there are, like KAVR-209, the camera is two meters away, whoever shot that is to fire him.
Then there's that one about schoolgirls that KMP published recently, and they pair Satsuki Ena with a chick with plastic tits...
The big problem is that studios measure the success of lesbian in VR based on hybrid films that many people reject, or on titles that are crap, because they are poorly shot. Even I, who buy a lot and love lesbian, haven't bought a single one of those movies.
I wonder what would happen if some studio released this:
+A lesbian-only movie.
+With very desirable actresses who have shot many 2D lesbian movies, like Hikaru Minazuki , Jun Suehiro or Himari Hanazawa, and they really love lesbian.
+Third person camera very close up, Bibian VR style like the BBVR-003 posted by Chewbaka further back.
Without going any further, something like URVRSP-245, but without the guy. Would this sell? I don't know, but I think it would sell like some KMP movies that are just clones of each other, or some niche SOD VR movies, those bloodbath, r*** and f***rced sex ones it makes.
What I don't understand is why no one tries it, at least once. There hasn't been a VR movie like this released in the last four years.

I also give up on Prestige. I don't think they will release any more VRs. I guess the last year titles didn't sell much, being released only in A Festa, and also people criticized them quite a lot, so they won't release more.
Another thing I don't understand, A Festa sells DRM-free VRs, which you can use wherever you want, and 8K versions with six times more bitrate, and people keep buying those titles on Fanza...
I still think most Japanese people watch VR with smartphone, so they don't care about image quality because their hardware sucks....

Right, I actually keep forgetting about it because it almost does not matter to me. But I understand that for many it is not acceptable. Still I feel if they would market it the right way they would sell a lot internationally. Right now most studios are not even putting their products on sale outside of Japan which seems crazy to me.
Yes, I use those sources as well. Also h-vr.net is nice if you want to quickly filter for all the VR releases by actress or genre. They have stopped importing from FANZA in the last couple month but it seems that they are back online for now.
2024 was very depressing with all the retirements. I don't want to read more about that in a forum...
30 minutes is not ideal, but the bigger problem for me was that some of the positions in particualar were too short and rushed, like the face-to-face missonary was only 3 minutes. Normally Momo is much more giggly and talkative in sex scenes but it seems they were on some kind of timer and had to finish it asap.

. We will most likely never see 80 or 100 Mbps from FANZA...On their website it said that they are back on Jan 6. I don't believe it has anything to do with smartphones. Those customers don't buy the 8k release in the first place. Rather I think that it has to do with:
- convenience. Just using one store that has all the releases for sale is good enough for most. Comparing bitrate between stores is too much work or they don't see a difference
- most people use VR headsets with a Wi-Fi connection. If you don't have at least a good Wi-Fi 6 network a 80mbits release will stutter. Storing it on the device itself is also not an option. e. g. Quest 2/3 base model has only around 100gb of usable storage, so just one movie at a time can be stored with a high bitrate. I believe that if FANZA would increase the bitrate to 80mbits many customers would start to complain about it "not working" or being "to large". If you don't believe me check out the comments on A Festa / 3DSVR-1378. A customer complained that the filesize is too large
and A Festa support actually reduced the bitrate The solution is simple as you have said before, just offer two 8k options.

R18 gone, A-Festa only having a few studios to choose from, FANZA blocking overseas customers - the JAV industry really makes it difficult to partake in the hobby legally. There are a few fetish videos from P-BOX VR that I want that are on FANZA - but would rather not be locked to their proprietary player.

I use PS VR2 to watch VR, I prefer it to the HP Reverb G2 even though it has a little less resolution, because the OLED screen is awesome for porn, the skin colors are very natural and the brightness is incredible, it's like watching a movie without a headset. But I connect them to the PC, of course...

Yes, on PC it works perfectly with all video players and games. That's what I use now: PS VR2 and HereSphere. If you have a good GPU and in HereSphere activate Supersampling 2X and MSAA 2X filter, it improves a lot the video definition. 8K movies with good bitrate (A Festa version) look almost like real life resolution, as if you don't wear a headset...
