The AI boom really drove up the prices of drives recently. I bought some drives the previous year and when I checked again this year, the same drives have a huge price bump.

Not a good time to be upgrading, so I have to delete and ration space...

I have about 200 GB left on my 16 TB hard disk... Only VR...

I've been deleting old scenes for 3 or 4 months now but I've reached a point where I don't want to delete anymore.... Looking at prices, here in my country a 16 TB disk costs about 320 euros... It is a lot of money... Let's hope at Prime Day they lower the price....

Oh, Wow, how nice... Not very radical angles but very well thought out. I hadn't thought about them, but now that you explain it, you're absolutely right.

First would be in the introduction part and the girl and you are standing close to each other.

A simple camera shot with the girl talking next to you adds a lot to the realism if done at the right height, very true.

I think legs and feet are criminally underused in JAV VR.

Oh, yes, YES!!! I thought I was the only one thinking about it. I think the legs, and especially the feet, are underutilized in VR.

I don't have a fetish for it either, but I like that they show the feet if they are nice, with unpainted, natural nails. There are feet that have very painted nails, even decorated with jewelry and things, and I don't like them. But natural feet really turn me on. You see some in the distance in sex scenes, but they're completely ignored.

There are some toe sucking VRs.... But that doesn't turn me on. It's enough for me to watch them, if they're pretty.

if this is done anywhere else or at least the delivery from Aya makes the difference.

Bought and watched the Shirakami Emika's 8K debut (SIVR-345). WOW, She is a very pretty girl and has a perfect body. She is very shy and a bit passive throughout the film, and the dialogues seem like she is reading them, or has memorized. But it's normal in a debut, we forgive her.

Immersive face-to-face scenes, some with clothes, the important ones without, lots of kisses and hugs, and all positions. So happy with the movie, not perfect but ok for a debut. It gets very short though, only 71 minutes.

Anyway, in the last debuts of S1 and KAVR, with Emika Shirakami, Airi Nagisa or Nanase Yua, I'm surprised by how serious and passive the actresses are. They are new, true, but you get the feeling that they haven't even bothered to teach them how to shoot in VR. They just put them in front of the camera, and hey, start to shoot... I think they should do some kind of test first, or some kind of course to teach them how to act in VR.

This does not happen with the Moodyz premieres for example, the girls are more natural, joyful and active.

Yeah, as it turns out she slots into #9 on my list of favorite currently active S1 girls. Right at the bottom. That's not exactly a bad thing. I do track a few more S1 girls than just them but those are candidates for deletion when I'm running low. Nanatsumori Riri is the next likely to be cleared from my drives. There's nothing actually wrong with her and I did find her attractive enough to want to collect her titles, but I have also not felt like watching her vids more than once.

The girls on my list actually get repeated views for some of not all of their titles. Emika is not likely to be cleared from my drive and I'm probably going to watch this video more than once.

This would be why Yuzuki Ria is ahead of Emika for me. She's just more fun to watch in her vids.

I watch some VRs several times too, from my favorite actresses. But I'm spacing them out in time. What surprises me is that you delete VRs of whole actresses.... I go around deleting the worst individual movies of each actress, but I don't delete all the VRs of an actress all at once.

And the same when downloading, I don't look at whether I have the actress or not, if I like the VR, I buy it or download it.

Oh wow, thats quiet the collection. 320 euros for 16TB seems expensive. Try to find Toshiba MG09 18TB or MG10 20TB drives. Those are the best bang for the buck right now. Also I think you have to face it and integrate these drives into a NAS if not done already. Think about what would happen if you lose all the data of one drive because it breaks. Even if that wouldn't bother you think about how much it would cost to redownload all that stuff or even most of it, extra volume on file hosters and so on, (I guess you havn't bought everything in your collection and even if you had try to download over 15TB on those sites, they might ban or restrict you for it) and it will take month to do so. The NAS will quickly pay for itself. So the bad news is that keeping a collection like that isn't cheap. Looks like at least a 4-bay NAS and >1000 euros that you have to eventually invest or delete alot more

I have noticed , can't complain. Just hope she doesn't burn out and disappear in a month or so. Seems like an insane pace.

Think about what would happen if you lose all the data of one drive because it breaks.

I don't have a NAS yet because with that volume of data, it's too expensive.
Of those 16 TB about 4 TB are repeated files. Those 4 TB are my favorite scenes. The other stuff I don't mind losing, but that 4TB would hurt to lose. My idea is, when I buy the new hard drive, to copy those 4TB there and have two copies.

I use WD hard drives because I have several, and they have given me good results. I bought a Seagate one and it started to give errors after a few days. Are the Toshiba ones reliable?

EDIT: I see they are internal drives. I use external drives.

Haven't even considered that. In this case you have to pay a premium, yes. About reliablility: no one can tell at that point for hard drives above 18TB. The best data on hard drives are from reports released by data centers like backblaze. But you need hundreds of drives in use for at least 3 years to make any conclusions. Until around 2019-2020 I also only ever bough WD drives. But they became to greedy for my liking. Instead of a 10-15% premium you now pay more like 30-50% more. That is for internal drives at least. The Toshiba drives mentioned also give a 5 year warranty. I have two of them in my NAS for 8 month now and they work. That is all I can say.

Just for the picture quality alone on simple "plug and play" apps like DeoVR or SkyBox it makes no difference. You have more options to improve image quality on specific apps on PC though with anti aliasing and so one. But was asking it because of the biggest flaw of the Quest 2 which is battery life. Since you are using it wired it's not really an issue though. Standalone adding a battery pack etc. is adviced or you go crazy.

Well, if I like a girl, I will usually want to keep all her vids.

If I don't, well...I might maybe keep a title that is good but I'm likely to clear it all out. Like I said - depends on whether I feel like watching it more than the first time I viewed it.

Any video where I have low motivation to watch again either gets deleted or gets shunted off to some offline storage.

Better do it soon since I think Meta is going to halt sales of it. Than you'll have to wait for the Quest 3S which hasn't officially been confirmed and we don't know when it'll be out.

Hibino Uta hasn't done any VR for a while since her explosive start earlier and she suddenly shows up in this one. There's Ichika again and her ever playful attitude along with Kuramoto Sumire. Than there's Nanase Arisu, Misono Waka, Fujimori Riho, Kitano Mina, and Yayoi Mizuki. Can't say I like everyone in the lineup but there's enough quality here for me to be hyped about it. Here's hoping they play silly games again, like in the previous Honnaka harem.
