I would present the same report with slight different angle. I think it's much less about the personality but more about the persona. The real life personality of Shoko and Yua maybe whatever, perhaps not such snobby prima dona. But the ecology of celebrity is highly hierarchical, so the reigning queen of AV (no matter if she is Shoko or Sora Shiina or anybody ) must demand a different treatment from everyone else. She might in real life be very sociable but if she accept equal treatment with the "common" AV idols she risk losing her prestige which may even affect her DVD sales.
So just as there are accusations that industry coerce girls to perform, I also think the industry coerce the idols to be more assholes then they really are.
There are also reports that some idols are very shy or fragile. Others are very personable or sociable. Contrasting with the persona that the industry invents and maintain for each girl.

It's just my unprovable believe they are fake. The point isn't real vs. fake, it's if they look good on screen (for my purpose). I should say there are better (and more real-looking) tits out there. The point is that, even if they aren't the best, nor look real to me, she's still one of my favs. Except for unlikely events in next 6 months. Yua, Julia and Shoko should be my top 3 (no particular order) for 2017.
Couple of juicy bits to add to @jwlim80 excellent post:
1. Kaho Shibuya is still mad after getting the bad manager fired. Kaho's current manager still has not a full handle of the situation, so it's not a guarantee there won't be more drama (quitting the agency? quitting AV altogether?) evolving from this.
2. Kaho wasn't being a prima dona, being mad for not getting pampered by manager/agency. She cares about each job and career development, she's mad the guilty manager mishandled her assignments and damaged her career.
3. Notice she had a lot of releases per month earlier and then in last few months, her vids per month have gone way way down? The guilty manager is now being accused of deliberately declining job offers to spite her. So he's much worse than just a bumbling fool, he's the enemy of oppai fans!

That's an overstatement. As I take more time to digest the rant, I realise I have made quite a few mistakes in my interpretation. I definately need to brush my Japanese up.
Now, in regards to being a "manager" to a AV talent, it's actually more like a personal attendant to her. You are at her beck and call and it's your job to make her happy at all times.
But the job pays well with an monthly wage of about 400000 yen with no prior experience required and you don't have to be a born Japanese to sign up. A deep knowledge of the language is required obviously.

This guy is absolutely amazing. From those thousands of tittles, he is able to reveal same actress with different name, and with some years gap in their video. Anna Morikawa and Vivian Lim have a 3 years gap in their release.
By the way, I wonder if javlibrary follows the same news as I know Anna is Vivian from them.

So how does one scout out new talents for JAV in today's digital enviroment ? By using LINE and Twitter of course.
Professional scouter today just spent all their time looking at random account of girls and if they find the selfies looking good, they'll send a PM asking if they are interested in a "modeling gig".
If the girl took the bait, the scouts will talk their asses off, trying to hook her in. Of course, most girls will put the scouts on their ignore list at an instant or half way through the talk. The scouts will not just give up there, they will try to get the girl talking again by using a different account or look at their followers or followed account for their next target.
If the negotiation is successful, the scouts will take their chances that those girls arn't exactly who they are on the social media, taking things as they come.
Saying that, there is a quota for those scouts to meet by the agencies employing them. They will get their salary docked if the quotas arn't met. So, anyone feel like sitting in their home all day, twitting random girls ?

The most important thing is to get the girl's attention. On the streets, you can basically tell who's who by the way they dressed and move. Not so much on social media.
On social media, you don't have to be direct on the opening conversation. Just keep the girl engaged and open up when the time is right. So all in all, engaging a girl is more efficient on twitter. But the pick up rate is still abysmal. I wonder if the scouts will have more success with an app like Tinder.
