Both teams displayed terrible defense in my opinion, but where the Danes were weak both in offense and defense, the Japanese excelled in scoring. Good job, Japan: you were this match's better team and you won it. All is right with the world.

Japan need to fire their goalie though IMHO. He doesn't know the meaning of the word "grab." As in, grab the fucking ball instead of letting it bounce off of your chest, back out into play. Off the hands? Fine, I can understand that. The goalie's gloves are so large-fingered that it makes it very difficult to grab a soccer ball hurtling towards them at 70+ km/h. But when you take it to your chest, I damn well expect to see some arm movement! ASSUME THE FETAL POSITION, MAN! Clamp down on that ball with your body! Don't just let it bounce off of your chest!

I'm not happy that Korea lost (neither was my GF, or the entire bar) but I can admit Uruguay did a damn good job. I knew exactly what was happening. After Uruguay scored the first goal they just went full defense, once Korea scored they changed to full offense and Korea got fucked over. Korea made a valiant effort, that ball almost rolling in made me shit myself but oh well, there is always 2014.

I must admit, I would not feel for Capello, he put the team out there, it was he that worked the team for a month, I do not think Capello understands the english mind that well,

I thought England was lucky today not to be more goals, but England have been poor throughout, never mind 4 years to prepare for the next world cup.

I feel bad for England. No clue about Capello. I don't know the man personally, nor do I even know his track record as a coach. But I do feel bad for England: a 4-1 defeat is bad, even if it's to the team I picked to win it all. ;)

I mean, hell, the Ivory Coast didn't even lose to Brazil by that much (3-1), so to lose to Germany even more badly ... ouch, England. Ouch.
