Thanks for adding paypal as payment option! I just find out today, now I can shop in your site directly

I have to say that DMM Points are super-convenient. I bought some through Paypal, so I don't have to give my CC number to R18.com + I can use the money in my account

if you are in the US watch out using paypal at R18.com ~ i was banned from paypal for buying "fileshosts" and "porn" through paypal. it is in paypal's fricken' TOS here in the US that both are prohibited activities.

Can anybody tell me what has happened to Noa Takeuchi? Her listings seem to have disappeared from R18 in the last couple of days - can't find any of her videos. Also her videos seem to have been removed from Arzon.

Would appreciate any information.

What happened to the site? Is it under maintenance? It has been several days the site doesn't show up and just give link to the blog and twitter.

None of the ideas that were submitted on akiba a couple months back was implement, so I still prefer DMM over R18, even though I'm not Japanese literate. (thank you google translate)

Since I made a post asking for what features you would like in R18.com in October the following features has been released:

- iOS Player (Secure player).
- Android Player (R Player).
- HD Streaming.
- HD Streaming for rental movies.
- Alternative payment methods (DMM Points).

This features were requested here. We are working in most of the features requested here :)

I joined the DMM monthly plan couple month ago.
Suddenly I cannot login even I change my password,
Their support never reply my email and they still charge me month by month.
What should I do?

Stay away! Horrible customer service! Once subscription expires you can no longer view downloaded vids! Cost is prohibitive! Its amazing they're still in business
R18: need I elaborate?

That's how subscriptions work. Once you stop paying for Netflix...you can't see anything on it anymore.

I meant to have said once subscription expires any downloaded videos you have added to your collection no longer play because of the dreaded DRM. Japanese sites are the only ones I know of who do this. Even the tube sites allow downloads nowadays. Comparing R18 to Netflix is absurd. I can download a Netflix movie DRM free. Netflix is $120 yr. Whats an unlimited subscription to R18? R18's changing movie codes is also rediculous even though there's a way around it. It's as if Netflix changing a title's name from Breaking Bad to say Cookers. What's the rationale?

Point being if you know what DRM is, how it works, and why it's used, then you know exactly that you're in for with it, right? Why complain about it once it does to you what it is meant to do once you cancel your subscription?

When you unsubscribe from a service you lose access to this service. As mentioned below, while im Subscribed to Netflix I can download and watch it but at the moment I cancel my subscription I will not be able to play my downloaded movies from Netflix.

I think this make sense for any subscription service adult or not adult. while you are paying for the subscription you can download and watch as many movies as you want but at the moment you stop paying your subscription you are not able to watch the content any more.
If the subscription services dont do this it will be like just paying one month, download as much content as you can, cancel the subscription and keep watching all the downloaded content for few months. If this is what you want to do then you dont need a subscription service, you need to purchase the individual movies you want to watch.

Big, successful, american companies do that and everybody is happy. They get paid, customers get porn that they can watch "forever" (as long as they take care of maintaining their downloaded copies). Obviously their prices reflect that. Subscribing for one month only? Very expensive.

OscarLewis: I don't think you have any idea just how expensive it is to shoot JAV compared to most western porn. I agree that there are some things the Japanese market needs to start adjusting to and some progress is being made. However, with shoots costing what they do, paying $20-40 for a new title is the only way they can remain in the black. Even as successful as R18 may be, it's still most likely a drop in the bucket profits-wise for DMM's adult division. JAV still is mainly a Japanese thing and that's the market that needs to be protected.

R18 does a pretty good job legally pushing JAV to the foreign market. I can tell you that the people who work on R18 hate DRM as much as you do. It's a mandate from up top that's going to be hard to change.

tonyvee: don't compare Netflix to adult. This is an economies of scale issue. One has tens of millions of subscribers and isn't dealing with super high high-risk card processing fees.

I don't know about Netflix but some streaming sites do allow downloading for offline viewing on your phone or mobile device assuming you can't connect to a wifi. That way you're not losing 500-600mb watching a movie on your phone. You might lose a tiny bit of data verifying or none at all. It's actually really unfortunate the trend these days tends to be moving towards subscriptions and DRM so you never own what you buy. This extends beyond porn and into everything like MS Office as an example.

market that needs to be protected

I have no issue with that, but the people who leak their goods aren't being deterred.

If companies want to prevent legitimate customers from having to carry heavier burdens than needed, they have to up their game with strong watermarking, incentivated whistle-blowing and judicial enforcement.

People complain about crypto-coins (see recent comments by Bill Gates), but the block-chain tech can enable easier and cheaper "enforcement" of copyright. If DMM/R18 is accepting them as payment, they should consider the novel processes that are being devised in this area.
