The release scene is a bit more muddy now.

7sht (or 6sht) new group shows up.

Talking about all FHD groups except dioguitar : Some vids are perfectly clean, some with ads at beginning and end (easy to trim with free vid editors) some with nasty watermark that disappear after 30 secs (very acceptable ) some with faint watermark. It's hard to know what you will get until you finish dl it. But generally I think if you dl non-dioguitar FHD you should not be disappointed . And dioguitar SD and/or FHD release are easy enough to identify.

To answer a previous post I have never playback issue with any of mentioned release groups. Rarely I get problem with FC2 vids, often I get problem with FHD uncensored vids (Caribbean). Sometimes due to too high bitrate, often due to too high frame rate (fps).

Thzla has made themselves almost irrelevant by very infrequent updates. After returning from long break in September they have mostly updated no more frequent than 9 days. Used to be they were the only reliable alternative to dio and longest wait was 5 or 6 days. Now with multiple good groups doing day 1 or 2 releases they are not competitive.

Overall it's wonderful there are 4 good groups competing .

Thanks for the recap. I just want to add, 168x.me rip is kinda varies and not consistent.

Their ATID-308 release has the ending cut abruptly. Not really a problem, the part that gets cut is only a few seconds.

But it's still strange how their rips varies from time to time.

I always took this to mean there isn't just one person producing these. If they are an outfit of at least two, then, maybe they encode differently on different machines?

Seems they are settling into a big dump every 8+ days.
Big dump every 8+ days? I'd see a doctor about that if I were them.

7sht.me = 168x.me = 77x.me = 789x.me

Until yesterday they were fine and they began to go back to their shit playback (basically it's very shoppy, utterly un-smooth) for the last 2 days. Let's hope that won't last.

Thz dropped another 83 vids yesterday after 92 vids from the day before. Can't be sure but I think they are catching up with most of the major studios (and many minor ones) releases recently.

Still... being so inconsistent and unpredictable with release pacing is very annoying.

Too bad their website is in chinese I can't use it. So I search on Nyaa and try to see screenshots to find their releases. They have the best watermark, easy on the eye and NO video ad that fucks up all the movie audio.

There may still be some subpar rips floating about, but nonetheless, these past few months have been better than they've been for quite some time.

Some recent HD rips are absolutely flawless, CJOD-165 probably being the best I've seen this year in terms of video quality. Doesn't lose any image quality and it plays absolutely smooth.

Of course these gifs lose some of the image quality due to heavy compression, but you still get an idea how smooth the actual HD rip plays. Also, no watermarks. (Still a 2 minute ad at the beginning of the video but all things considered that's really not bad.

hmm..freedl.org vids seem pretty good at 720p and much smaller file size..and the watermark is small too...but selection is less

The new 1080p torrents 44x / 7sht.me = 168x.me = 77x.me = 789x.me / all have varying qualities....choppy sound / vid playback / vid Ads at beginning of movies

7sht.me is def the best atm.

The hjd2048.com guys are the worst, they have scrolling yellow text at the top of their releases, + two watermarks in both bottom corners, WTF.

After all the shifts and currents, I still prefer thzla, they now upload smaller batches (as few as 20 vids per drop) more frequently, sometimes daily. They have also added some online-only (non-DVD) vids into their regular drops. (which mess up my scrapper, oh well it's a good problem to have)

My current complaint is they are not as comprehensive for some (fake amateurs?) studios/series that I like (while continuing to include grandma porns). E.g. they used to be reliable for OYC- vids but they have missed quite a few around OYC-200's. So I have to go back and look for either 77x or 168x if I need a vid and it's missing from thzla.

Further from last post, here are a few vids that I want but missing in thzla releases in recent months:
CESD-675,CESD-676 , MIRD-182, RCTD-167
I guess most of you don't feel my pain, assuming you each have your workflow you are comfortable with.

My workflow for last couple year is super simple: scan thzla's drops maybe twice a week or so, pick out the ones I want and send the torrent files to the NAS box that perform the downloads.

That worked enough because I trusted thzla to cover (at least) all mainstream vids but of course it was never fool-proof as I sometimes come across a cover that I like but was skipped by thzla. Sometimes I noticed it too late and it become slightly difficult to find.

But if thzla fails to cover non-minor studios like CESD, Moodyz and Rocket, that breaks my super-efficient workflow and I have to go back to stone-age checking multiple sources for new releases and wishing-hoping for decent FHD rips from one of the groups.

thzla reduce the quality too much, usually 3~4gb size. 7sht.me + 44x are usually at least 5+gb
JaponX have a big ugly logo in the top corner although more bearable than the yellow text guys.

I always wonder how much these guys must make.

JaponX ones are pretty good but they decided to apply blur effect on their watermark on the top right, and it seems like the logo is getting bigger...

I avoid dioguitar rips like the plague because I fucking hate the long fucking ad at the beginning, and sometimes he puts short ads in the middle of the fucking video like some fucking commercial, dioguitar rips need to die in a pit of fire and shit

They started putting ads IN THE MIDDLE? Good grief! Also, you mean JaponX has their own watermark and now they are blurring it? Or they are providing other tips and blurring out someone else's watermark?

I don't think it's all their rips, but I have experienced it a few times now, just casually letting the video roll and watching and then suddenly it cuts to some loud obnoxious ad for a few seconds and the went back to the video... it was actually shocking, didn't expect that, so I've banned them from my download list if I can. The JaponX watermark, what I meant is that they have their own watermark on the top right but they've just made it bigger and there is a blur effect behind the logo to make their watermark stand out more. for example MIAE-357 rip
