I agree. I was referring to the shooting of sex scenes, which he is very good and immersive when he wants to be. But really, in the introductions and the sets, he fails.
Anyway, in the case of Idea Pocket, if you notice almost none of their VR movies have plot, or very little. This is one of the trademarks of this studio.

Exactly. I don't even remember. Years. They always use Fujita in weird movies or full of clothes. The same with Akari Minase.

They clearly feel emboldened due to the mosaic and obscured angles. Shouldn't have to worry about them implementing sneaky tactics like this, but alas...
Won't let it disparage me (more than enough good releases with real penetration), but will certainly look out for it going forward.


By the way, I now understand your frustrations with low bitrate FANZA releases, Walle12 and others it may concern. The trailer for 3DSVR-1677 from Afesta was 80Mbps (compared to the 14Mbps torrent) - the difference in clarity is very noticeable. Shame that other studios aren't on FANZA.... Low bitrate videos are far easier for me to stream though (lots of stutters over my WiFi with 80Mbps) - using wired PCVR, I'm sure it looks fantastic.

Exactly. Comparing Fanza movies at 14 Mbps with A Festa trailers at 80 Mbps, you can compare the same movie and see the difference. And if you don't use streaming but local playback with supersampling like me, even more.

For me the Fanza 8K movies are still video, the same 8K movie in A Festa at 80 Mbps, it's real-life resolution, as if you don't use glasses.... This, when in VR you are looking for the maximum realism, is very important... But Fanza doesn't give a shit about VR, it's just a product to sell more. As they have the exclusivity of the studios, they don't care about the image quality.

Viewed them both today. Was going to post after seeing AJVR-248, but chalked it up to a one-off. Now with Ena Satsuki's SOD release, twice... I begrudgingly accept the use of fake dicks for some blowjob/paizuri scenes, but fake penetration is a no-no. Didn't care much for either release, but seeing it back-to-back wasn't reassuring.

Western VR studios offer two 8K versions for download: the full version with the full 80 / 100 / 150 Mbps bitrate, and a low bitrate version for people who stream. Fanza should offer two versions, but they don't want. They prefer the low quality only.

Mine is Wifi 5. Stutters and pauses every few seconds when streaming; an upgrade will be had once I have my own residence. I'm sure it plays well with local files, but the slow transfer rate deters me from experimenting

It's not just a streaming platform. It also allows you to download movies to your mobile or PC with DRM, to watch them with their player.
I've only tried their PC player and it's garbage. Not only you can't configure anything, but 8K movies look like 4K, and 4K movies look like 2K. Luckily there are ways to remove the DRM and watch them on any player. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't buy them, their players are unusable. At least the PC one, which I guess hardly anyone will use. Maybe Quest's is better, I don't know. But I doubt it, because it's the same with A Festa's own players, which are also garbage.

My impression is that 90% of the people who watch VRs bought on Fanza, are watching them at 25% of their real quality. No wonder VR is not taking off.

By the way, it looks like they have updated the design and website of A Festa. It is now much faster.

She is a great actress. She is always very intense in her VRs. I love her. Idea Pocket is, by far, the best VR studio right now.

Idea Pocket is great, but they really need to find some new talent IMO. Many of their best models left, and new scenes are the same few girls over and over. Saki Sasaki and Mitsuri Nagahama were great additions, but that's kinda it. There's also Emily Yuhina and Marina Yakuno, but each only had one VR appearance so far.

Moody's snd S1 are doing much better in that regard. it's a shame S1 is inconsistent with quality because they have my favourite models. At least with multiple scenes per month there's always something good

I like the actresses that Idea Pocket has now, I don't mind if they repeat with them. I would love another VR with Marina Yakuno, she was great in the first one.
Probably S1 or Moodyz models are better, true, but I don't like most of their movies from last year. Let's see if this year they keep launching one VR a week, and as you say, we can find something for everyone.... That's what we need from S1 and Moodyz: quantity and variety.

The missionary in the trailer has a weird angle on a couch, I hope they squeeze a face-to-face missionary into the three hour movie. Otherwise the movie is perfect for my taste. I wish Moodyz would shoot a movie like this, three hours long, with Ishikawa Mio...

It's a promotional VR, it was the first 8K that existed and you can download it for free. It's a complete movie, and it's pretty good too.... Just tap the yellow button to add ithe movie to your account!!! It's here on Akiba for download, too...
Strangely, before they offered it without DRM, it was MP4 files and it took up16 GB, now they have add DRM and it weighs 8 GB... Fanza is always getting worse...

I spend more time perusing studio catalogues than actually enjoying releases, lol. The well has now been exhausted - time to relax and enjoy my efforts

2024 was a better year than I initially reported (won't bore with data); Moodyz and Kawaii were the most consistent studios, S1 not too far behind. KMPVR fall short in my book, favouring them more for fetish titles they no longer release.

On a different note, I can't help but view releases like Tano Yu's anticipated SIVR-389 to be a waste. Singular, rushed sex scene crammed into the back of a 3-scene title. Do you feel the same about releases like hers?

It is a very mediocre VR. A waste of Tano Yu, who looks stunning in that movie and has tits that are out of this world.

In the first two scenes nothing happens, it's just boob rubbing, so you spend 50 minutes watching the actor's hands.
In the third one almost all the time is far away, the only thing that is worth it are the last 5 minutes of missionary. In the whole movie, not a single second of the actress's ass or back is shown, we only see her from the front. A very disappointing movie, even more so because we won't see Tano Yu again for another 6 months...
For my part, S1 goes from disappointment to disappointment. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed its movies. Either they have plastic boobs, or oils, or ridiculous costumes. And when they make a standard VR like this, it's a disappointment shot with no desire or talent on the part of the director.
As you say, a waste of Tano Yu, because she looks gorgeous in this movie and she does her best, her acting is good.
