This week, as I commented further back, I have watched the VR of Kawakami Shizuku, and one old of Ishikawa Mio. Today, looking for new VRs, I came across this:

What I wanted to comment is that, before I switched to VR, I liked these types of movies. I was quite turned on by watching a young, pretty girl with an ugly, or fat, or old guy.

But after four years of watching VR porn, my perception of actresses has changed. VR portrays a more intimate relationship, a personal relationship with the actresses. 2D porn is a passive activity: you just watch a guy and a girl having sex, you are just a voyeur. But in VR you are the one having sex with the girl, it's an active action, or at least that's what your mind perceives, and that creates a more intimate bond with the actress. She talks to you, she kiss you, she makes love to you.

What I mean is that now I watch those movies, and they give me a strange feeling. I don't like to watch them anymore because there's a strange feeling of jealousy, cheating, it seems weird to me to see Mio with another man who is not me....

I know it's silly, but years ago we commented it here, and it happened to more people. Does it happen to you too? Do you have a strange feeling when you watch an actress you like a lot in VR, with other guys in a 2D movie?

Could never get behind the fat guy/cute girl trope, though it seems to be very popular; cowgirl centric titles and POV themes were my poison. The annoying male actors moaning and forcing themselves into the scene is what turned me off regular JAV. My skin prickles just thinking about it

Yes, viewing flat releases of actresses I watch in VR does bother me. The illusion of exclusivity in VR is potent. Seeing them act promiscuous in flat content doesn't mesh well with the intimate nature of VR. Now view regular JAV in the same vein as Western porn (artificial, unappealing), which isn't a stance I held when consuming flat-JAV primarily.

I hope more Japanese porn fans take the plunge into VR. I haven't a clue what the perception of VR porn is amongst Japan's natives, so only time will tell if the market interest is there.

Yes, I've never been able to stand the presence of guys in porn. Also, no offense to anyone, most Japanese porn actors are pretty ugly....

The 2 or 3 years before the birth of VR I only watched 5% contrast porn (interracial, old & young) and 95% lesbian, because I couldn't stand seeing guys on screen. That's why what they have done with Miho Nana pissed me off so much....
But VR porn has changed everything. Now I don't watch anything in 2D anymore, not even lesbian. 2D doesn't turn me on anymore. For me VR porn has turned 2D porn into the equivalent of the old porn magazines. Something outdated and uninteresting.

Nowadays 99.9% of what I watch is VR. The 0.1% may be some 2D title that maybe has an actress I really like, but I'm talking about 3 or 4 2D titles in 2024....

I'm going to say two things I've almost never said in the almost four years of this thread: I've enjoyed a VR with clothes, and I've liked a KMP movie.
Of course, as happened to me with Ikuta Machi VR, I like it more for the girl than for the movie itself.

I'm talking about VRKM-1482 , with Shizuki Koharu (formerly Sakurai Chiharu). I really like shy girls, that's why I liked Miyazaki Chihiro and Mihama Yui VRs so much (and they only have shot one VR... ).

Anyway, there's no girl more shy than Shizuki Koharu, she speaks slowly and in whispers, and that turns me on... Also she is very cute.

In this movie she talks quite a bit, and the plot is even coherent. She appears with an eye patch and a bandaged arm, but it's a trick to skip classes and go see her boyfriend, who also pretends to be sick by heating the thermometer to keep the two of them home alone.
The patch and bandage come off quickly, and although she's dressed most of the movie in the uniform and panties that Chewbaka likes, her slow, whispering voice and shy look make up for it.




Then there's a pretty good unclothed cowgirl, slow as 2dxxxisdead likes, and a missionary not perfect, but quite acceptable.



If instead of Shizuki Koharu it was another actress I possibly wouldn't have even downloaded it, but I'll buy this one on A Festa when it comes out, for a decent bitrate.

One actress I forgot to add to my 2025 wishlist is Kawakita Meisa, who is now called Ootori Miyu. She was retired for a while and now she's back, but it's been almost 3 years since she shot a VR.
I think she's a very pretty girl, and in URVRSP-178, she is absolutely amazing.

It's a 2022 VR that demonstrates the loss of immersion in recent years, especially with Unfinished, but with all studios in general. If you watch this VR, and then another of the new ones from Unfinished, or any other, the difference is huge.



Kawakita Meisa is always near you, she kisses you, she spits on your mouth, she lets you look at her armpits, hugs you, whispers in your ear... the interaction is constant..... There are a lot of different positions and angles that are no longer used, now all movies barely use 3 or 4 angles and all the same.



I hope she shoots some VR in 2025. Although the immersion of URVRSP-178 we will never see it again. Unfortunately back in the day it was a 4K VR that looked mediocre, so now, in the days of 8K, it looks pretty blurry.

Yeah, quite worrying. But I had a look at their release history and they didn't have anything out in Jan 2024 either, they only started releasing stuff starting Feb so many there's nothing to be concerned about yet.

Meanwhile, S1 just shot another VR just for me. I've been asking when Asano Kokoro's next VR is going to be and its a 3P with Mita Marin. This will be epic, for me at least.

Love to see that. S1 used to shoot scenes with 2 or more girls somewhat regularly years ago an then they stopped for some reason. They have so many great models and rarely you get to see them together, even in 2d releases.

@Walle12 Based off SIVR-285 and SIVR-296, I think she's natural. Her breasts are a little like Remu's. They might look fake cos they defy gravity somewhat but they're real. Some girls just have the genetics there. Her breasts didn't get any bigger during this period I think, so I don't think they're fake in the upcoming one.

Very unique performance by her. It goes very well with VR what she is doing and wow, she is very cute. The movie itself to me felt nothing special, some of the angles are KMP mediocrity but her performance makes all the difference.

I think VRKM-1483 - which is only a few hours away - has the potential to be even better

It still suffers from the typical KMP flaws I've commented on before, and for my taste it has too many clothes, especially for this KMP series which is characterized by the opposite, but it's more immersive than usual, and in the last scene there's an excellent cowgirl and missionary face-to-face.

Of course, the 8K image quality is pitiful. It looks like 4K. The complete movie, 7 GB... It's awful to buy from Fanza.

I think this is Shizuki Koharu's best performance. She talks quite a bit (whispers) throughout the movie, is very natural, kisses you often, and is as cute as ever. She has already learned how to shoot VR, and she feels more comfortable, I wish she shoots more movies.

I'd like to watch her in one of those mega immersive movies by director Yazawa Receive, hopefully some studio will think of pairing them up.

Good summary. As you have pointed out the sex scene with her being naked is super short, only around 15 minutes which is a joke. It almost seems like that the KMP directors hate sex. Regardless, Shizuki Koharu has shown an amazing performance yet again. She is just too real and I'm convinced that she isn't playing a role, it's just how she really is. Even the rain outside suprised her in the first part. Too damn cute.

I hope for an Unfinished or Alice Japan release with her next.

Is this the first time Receive has worked with KMP? I've also noticed that he has done some 2D work for KMP recently. Overall it feels like JAV VR is shrinking a little bit. Maybe he needs KMP now to pay his bills which isn't a good sign. But it's good for KMP I guess. I hope they learn a thing or two from him.

All jokes aside, the previews of this release don't show much of the girl-on-girl content and it's hard to say what is happening. But it seems that it's just a few tame kisses. Better than nothing I guess. Overall when it comes to threesomes I see it this way: it should be a given that all participants like each other which would include the two girls, right? While 'you' should be the focus I think it's weird that they turn almost every single JAV VR threesome into a 1-on-2 instead. Of course we had some good explanations in this thread for why that is. But I'm still refusing to accept it... That being said the SIVR release chewbaka has posted seems also nice. Not every release has to be the same. I'm just asking for more variety.

I'm also looking forward to 3DSVR-1690 with Koharu Shiina / 27 Jan.
With her we got lucky, she has a couple good VRs already. This one from SOD will be on A Festa which is a nice bonus.

Receive almost single handedly keeps JAV VR alive in 2025 for me. This was yet again a very good movie and with A Festa bitrate Koharu looks great.

To my surprise Unfinished has yet again announced a release with her, URVRSP-416 / 14 Mar

For me, Receive has been saving me not this year, but all previous years. My favorite VR movies are theirs. No one is more immersive than him, although in recent times he has lost immersion, has become more lazy, or is defeated by routine.
I also like a few ZAMPA movies, even if you don't like him as much... It is true that this director is very inconsistent, sometimes he is very immersive, sometimes not.

I don't follow the rest of VR directors, because they are very irregular. Every once in a while someone film a very good VR, and then they make three that I don't like...

I also like a few ZAMPA movies, even if you don't like him as much... It is true that this director is very inconsistent, sometimes he is very immersive, sometimes not.

He is great in some areas but I often find his creative choices questionable. Besides the oil it's also the locations and the plot in his releases. They are often broken down to the absolute minimum and lack any sense of direction or tension arc. For example KAVR-401 which was a great release overall and Mayuki Ito looks incredible, but why did he make her not say anything? Or IPVR-291, which had the problem to me that it seemed rushed and the first part took place in this weird black room he often likes to use. On the other hand the way he does the sex scenes are very immersive and his strenght ; almost no one can beat him at that. But otherwise he often spoils it for me a little bit here and there. Of course it's very subjective and just my opinon.

They've gotten weirder over time, it's true. But they still had a couple interesting release in January. And a few more will be release soon:
