JAV VR: News, comments about releases, recommendations, hardware

@chewbaka , I have discovered that there are decensored versions of two Ishikawa Mio movies, MDVR-242 and MDVR-271.

I haven't been able to get them yet, they're either on storage services I don't have, or streaming at 1080p, which look like crap. Hopefully @filevkool can get them and upload to Akiba with Filejoker....

Decensored stuff is more bodyn thing, don't think filevkool ever uploaded some, he does pretty much just newly released stuff fast. You can try asking him.

I don't think those are leaks though, probably someone running software on the mosaic.

I never liked those in 2D, I'm not a fan in VR either.

Yes, they are decensored by AI. I watched a VR like that a few months ago, and it wasn't bad. I'm interested because of technical curiosity, more than anything else. To see how it looks, and if they are improving. I believe that someday they will get there, although it is true that there is still a long way to go.
 
I watched some decensored VR, and i was surprised that it still works in 3d. But AI Mosaic removal is kind of missing the point. For one, the tech is just not there - image is constantly glitching out and it's more distracting than enjoyable. But more importantly JAV is shot with the censorship in mind, so there isn't that much focus on genitals anyway.

What i would like to see more of is AI remasters of old scenes. There are some gems that are unwatchable now due to poor framerate and camera quality. I even tried using AI tools on some 30fps clips to make them 60fps, and the results were great. but one 30 second clip took me hours to render, and i wasn't even trying to increase resolution, so i gave up on that

Yes, it is true. It would be more interesting to restore some old titles with AI. It's going to get worse, because as the headsets get higher resolution, the worse the older titles look.

The problem, as you say, is that improving resolution by AI still can't be done at home. It's a very slow process.

Yup, I've seen some of those and its quite amazing but yeah...our home rigs, no matter how powerful, take an ungodly amount of time to do a single simple vid.

Another personal bad new is that Ruka Inaba has returned as an E-body exclusive, so if she films VR, it won't have close missionary... :( E-Body never shoot it... (The reason I don't buy their VRs).

Yeah, E-Body is pretty mid. They often have beautiful models but are not really utilizing them to the fullest. I think in general their camera is too far away among other things.

You are absolutely right. The censorship is more a blessing than a curse (unpopular opinion I guess from what I've seen in this discussion) but imo it has exactly the effect you are describing. Western porn also can't fake anything, they have to finish for real. That's the reason 90% of their stuff ends with a lame blow or handjob and even with the dude in general being a trained super monkey that can cum on command after hours of shooting it is still a challenge with the VR gear.

Also the AI stuff might never 100% remove the mosaic. The AI might be able to replace the pixel blocks with some vagina or whatever, but it will never be the "real" thing, just a approximation. That would be my guess at least. But maybe thats good enough...?

Exactly. They have good actresses, many of them exclusive, and they do some things well, but the missionary is always shot from too far away, and for me it spoils the whole movie. It's a pity.

Censorship is very annoying, but that makes JAV VR special. In Western VR porn they go straight to the point: "Hi how are you, I suck you off, oh fuck, oh my god, oh fuck," and that's it. The cameras are placed further away because they prioritize focusing on the penis or vagina in penetrations, and that makes Western VR much less immersive, thus breaking the magic of VR.

In JAV VR they can't be as direct because focusing on the genitals, you only see pixels. That's why they focus more on creating an environment, lots of kissing, lots of caressing, face-to-face sex scenes.... It's infinitely more immersive.

Shiori Kuraki filmed a lot of VRs between 2018-2020. After 4 years of disappearing, it seems that she is coming back to VR. She shot some forgettable VRs with KIWVR and AQUA a few months ago, and two more will be released soon with KMP. I've always thought she was a pretty girl, although she's no longer the young lady she used to be. But she looks great:

I've seen it- I won't keep my hopes up too high, but monthly videos instead of biannual would be a hell of an improvement. M Girls' Lab main focus is deep-throat and anal so the theme is not really surprising. I'm not a big fan of anal in JAV, but a big fan Minami Kozue so I will definitely check it out.

I like her a lot too, but for more standard videos. I'm still waiting for someone to shoot a face-to-face missionary with her, or a good "girlfriend experience", Kawaii or Moodyz style.... She have some with KMP, but I don't like them.

I'm surprised that for how young and kawaii she is, she shoots quite a few "extreme" or fetish VRs (in quotes because in VR everything is pretty vanilla).

I don't know what happened to @enduraVR, he was very enthusiastic before buying the Quest 2, and when he bought them, he disappeared.... I guess they were not what he expected...

Me too... :rolleyes: Mainly because it takes weeks for new titles to be available on download websites, even more so in 8K... And it won't be at 100 Mpbs...

I don't know what's going on, but since a week ago here on Akiba no title in VR is uploaded.... :(
