Looking forward to purchasing fetish videos of this sort from KMP. VR almost feels too good to be true, as if there's a hidden catch. Having been entrenched in the flat realm for a decade, coming up to the surface is disorienting. Is this really okay? The feeling will pass with time.

In the world of flat porn, fast and hard action was the name of the game; viewed simply as a means to an end. Such stringent criteria doesn't translate well to the 3D medium. More lenient in the performing style of actresses now. Passionate stars of the likes of Ranran and Alice Otsu can now be appreciated alongside softer performers like Ozaki Erika and Mei Washio. Being the centre of attention positively changes things. No longer levying for attention against a male performer. Just you and her... does it even feel like porn at that point? It's funny you mention it, because some time ago SexLikeReal was debating in its forum about whether to declare its VR platform as a therapeutic service... Legally they could ask for it because some studies consider some type of pornography as therapeutic...

But in the end they didn't do it because that required them to remove the "strongest" porn from their website.

The male actors won't go away that easily, haha. Glad that titles like that and URVRSP-235 are released infrequently. They allow for the viewer to live out their orgy/porn star dreams, but the presence of other guys kills any eroticism.

I've mentioned this many times already - 3DSVR-1022 is the best harem in VR IMHO. Lots of girls, all of them quite pretty, and you don't cycle rapidly through them unlike many harem titles. Lots of focused 1-on-1 time with each girl while the others basically egging you on, talking dirty in your ear, or diddling themselves off to the side. Only slightly spoiled by Momose Asuka taking her imouto role a little too seriously and hence you get constant reminders that you are commiting incest when she's part of the action but that's only if you understand Japanese.

Not anti-fake breasts, but Aiga's there do look unfortunate. For some actresses (like the re-debuted Itsukaichi Mei) it looks natural. But for most actresses it's blaringly obvious. Incorrect implant size, too low body fat - can't just slap on bolt ons and expect them to look good (unless that is the desired aesthetic - looking at you Eimi Fukada).

I prefer natural breasts myself but I'm OK with Mori Hinako's. Its done quite well, it fixes a minor flaw she had on uneven breast sizes so I guess it might have helped with her self-esteem or something. Its not as overblown as to look overly fake like Fukada Eimi's and the nipples usually remains centered instead of drifting. Unless you knew her original breast size, its impossible to tell they are fake when she's merely showing cleavage, and they can pass as natural even when she's naked and upright. Its only when she's in motion or lying down that you can tell they are fake.

HNVR-016 came out in early 2020. Do you find the (presumably) lower resolution/visual fidelity to be immersion-breaking, or do videos from that time (2019-2021) still have utility in 2024? Have a number of videos on my wish-list from SODVR and KMP from that era.

I didn't think HNVR-016 was poor in image quality compared to newer videos. At least not enough to break immersion. But than again, my own eyesight is pretty bad to begin with. No images have ever been sharp for me in my life without high-powered prescription glasses and I had to buy lens inserts for my Quest 3 to use them (cheap ones from AliExpress, they work just fine though). I'm surprised at needing them though. I never needed inserts nor glasses while I was trying out VR previously in rental places. Yet the Quest 3 was blur to me on initial usage until I wore my glasses beneath it. That was when I decided to get some inserts instead - slightly lower power than my actual prescriptions. If you need high prescriptions yourself, you'll understand why.

Anyway, the side effect of that is that resolution and fidelity aren't as noticeable to me as other folks with better eyesight. Everything I see is at condensed a bit slightly in size already cos of my lenses. So don't take my word for it if i don't complain about image quality. I'm not the best judge of that.

I thought frame rate might be more noticeable but NHVR-139 which is an older titles at 30FPS that I picked up from Afesta is surpisingly quite sharp in picture clarity and I don't really notice the lower frame rate either.

I have to admit, the non-sex scenes in VR are surprisingly enjoyable and relaxing to watch. I would agree that they can be considered therapeutic.

I really enjoy the GFE scenes in VR. Some might consider them a waste of time, but I love it when a title devotes an entire scene just to GFE without having any sex or even significant nudity.

Some of my fav GFE scenes.

PRDVR-048 - Suzumori Remu was really affectionate in opening of this vid. It just escalated a little too quickly. Would have liked it if they spend the entire first clip just on her lying on top of you like this while you pat her head but this video has a shorter playtime and other stuff to move on to.


Fortunately, there is another GFE experience in the 3rd clip which was also a lot of fun. But it also escalates quite quickly. Can't blame the guy though, I would start grabbing her breasts too at first opportunity. Who can keep their hands off them?


DSVR-1051 - The opening scenes of this title are really fun to watch, notably the bit where both Ogura Yuna and Tadai Mahiro are laying down on your lap. Every guy should watch this bit. You'll feel happier for having experienced it. You don't even need to watch the rest of the video with all the sex (admittedly ridiculously enjoyable too). Just watch this bit if you're feeling down or something.

This is where I really appreciate the effort that went into the Takumi encodings. At least the picture isn't distorrted when watched outside of a VR headset. Now both Yuna and Mahiro look weird haha.

On the topic of mirrors, how do you feel about scenes like this? The one you showed does look nice; KMP and CRYSTAL VR use mirrors on occasion, the latter more so.

Works with a scene like this were an instant disqualifier for me, as (at least when viewing in 2D) I assume that it'll be weird to see another man's body in that position (unless VR tricks me into believing it is mine, that is).

No. More female bodies. Less male bodies. The less I see of the guy, the better.

Heck, if you ask me, all VR videos should be like DSVR-1120 where even your stand-in is a female. She can wear a strap-on. Yeah...that's the ticket.

Ended up downloading that title a couple weeks ago after reading your write-up about it earlier in the thread. Not sure how I missed it initially - looks fantastic. Rather fond of Momose Asuka, has a unique look; not sure if I am envious of Japanese speakers for being able to understand the dialogue, haha. In a similar vein to the step-dad/brother genres of American porn, I wonder if the experience would be ruined if the actress continuously referred to me in a familial manner.

I share your plight of poor eyesight, having worn strong glasses since young. The option of lens inserts for the Quest has been in the back of my mind for a while, perhaps an unavoidable purchase. Objects close and far are hazy; current 6.5" 720p phone panel appears almost identical to my previous 5.2" 1080 panel, contrary to passionate comments from reviewers having made it seem the former was simply unusable.

That is reassuring to hear, especially as there's a number of older titles (probably at a similar fps) on the wish list. Maybe as a sliver of a silver lining, we may not be as sensitive to certain visual shortcomings that would otherwise ruin the experience for an individual with sharper vision.

Quickly realised that the criteria used to judge a good flat porn aren't applicable to this medium. First and second scenes of a VR work often don't even contain sex, but instead teasing, foreplay, blow/handjob - more akin to a GFE. Junk food vs a fine meal with a starter and appetizers, if one wishes to compare to a culinary experience. Which is why I struggle to see this as porn. Maybe the term far in the future will have a more positive connotation - or not, who knows.

Yes, having only viewed VR content in 2D so far, translating the distorted image into a 3D one mentally is a challenge. To think they'll actually be there...

In VR it is key to see correctly. What you see is similar to focusing from 1 or 2 meters away, so how you see at that distance is key.
If you need glasses there is no problem, you can use the glasses with the headset. But that makes the screen a bit farther away, so you lose a bit of FOV (field of view), and thus immersion.
The ideal is to change the lenses of the glasses for other lenses with your prescription. It's easy, they are made to your prescription and they are not very expensive. It's worth it because the sharper you see it, the more real it will seem. This is what VR is all about.

I didn't notice much before, but since I've started translating movies, I've started to get hooked on the intros. They are the best thing about JAV VR. As you say, some intros are relaxing, some are fun, some are therapeutic. Beautiful, nice and friendly girls hugging, caressing you, kissing you, telling you things.... That takes the stress away from anyone after a hard day.... Especially if your wife or your real girlfriend is not in the mood...

Unfortunately I think all that is getting a bit lost, less and less intros are made in JAV VR, or they are shorter. Too many titles are being released that are shot too fast.

I am envious of Japanese speakers for being able to understand the dialogue, haha.

It is ESSENTIAL to translate the films to get inside them, and connect with the girl. I have started to do it and it changes them completely. It makes sense of a lot of scenes, and the sex scenes are more erotic if you know what they are saying.... And it's pretty easy.

The ideal is to use Whisper, an AI from Open AI that works locally, the bad thing is that you need a graphics card with enough memory, but everything is to try. If your graphics card is bad, you can use PyTranscriber. It uses Google AI, that translates worse than Whisper, but it works perfectly well. But I recommend Whisper.

You only have to download Subtitle Edit, which is a free and open source program.

In the Video Menu, choose Audio to text (Whisper). In Language, choose Japanese. In Engine, choose Faster Whisper, which is the fastest and the one that requires the least resources. In Model, it depends on your graphic card. If it has 8 GB of VRAM choose Larger. If it is less, then medium or Tiny. The larger it is, the more accurate the translation is.

You can check Translate to English to translate the subtitles to English. But I recommend not to translate to english, it's better the other method that I am going to tell you about:



It only remains to choose the movies that you want to translate, with Add, and Generate. It generates you a SRT file with the subtitles of the movie in Japanese or English, depending on whether you have checked or not the Translate to English option.

It only remains to open the SRT file with a text editor like Word Pad, copy the text and paste it in DeppL Translator to translate it from Japanese to the language that you want. Without account DeepL Translator only accepts text blocks of 1,500 characters, so you will have to translate the text in pieces, with patience. Paste the translation into the SRT file, and that's it.

EDIT: The user Teiji_ishida has found a better method to translate with DeepL. Thanks! : "I found this site https://www.deepsubtitles.com/ which will automate the translation using DeepL API for you. You have to register a free DeepL API account and paste in your auth key. Then just browse to your srt file, and it instantly translates the whole file for you in a few seconds and let you save it. Beats having to copy and paste line by line through the DeepL website".

Make sure that this SRT file has the same name as the movie, so that the player recognizes it and associates it with the movie. Save it in the same folder as the movie, and you are done.

HereSphere recognizes subtitles in VR, you activate them in the player, and you can know what the girls are saying...

The AI translation has improved a lot, now it translates much better than a few months ago. It still commits some hallucinations (meaningless translation), and translates moans as well. So you will have to edit the SRT file and manually delete the hallucinations and moans.
It is worth the effort. Understanding the dialogues gives you another perspective of what is going on, you get even more into the movie and you connect much more with the girls. And some of them say some pretty dirty things that turn you on even more....

I have a terrible eyesight as well, but my glasses fit fine in just about any headset, so i never felt the need to get inserts. Maybe it would be more comfortable though..

I know enough Japanese to grasp the meaning of most of what is said, but i do get lost in some of the more complex dialogue.. Getting subtitles sounds tempting but it would be a lot of work. Maybe for some of my favorites though it would be worth a shot. I don't know if it would work with DeoVR though

Many useful resources provided. Opted for PotPlayer over MPV for viewing 3D VR in 2D due to being less tech literate than I realised
Seeing the video in 180/360 is awesome. Proximity is much easier to visualise now. So close... curious to see how close an actress can get to the screen before going cross-eyed, as I've seen others comment on. Closing one eye gets rid of that effect, as in reality.

My laptop did not like Whisper. Black screen static crash, as is often the case when I try to do anything GPU/CPU intensive. Will keep a note of it for when I eventually upgrade my device. As you mentioned, the other uses Google AI so not entirely accurate - but I get the general gist of the dialogue, so can't complain.

You can also use google colab to have whisper run on a remote pc and do all the work for you.
There's a tutorial for it in my signature that should be very tech illiterates friendly since that seem to be the majority of the people asking/making for subs around here.

Great title - Ranran is fantastic as always. Her co-star Rio caught my eye a little while ago; a very pleasant woman. Similar vibe to ladies like Ozaki Erika and Yuhi Shitara. Yuhi Shitara is perhaps a little too submissive for my liking, but good performer nonetheless. Nana Miho is super cute, unique face. Will check her out properly.
