I get that, clothes don't bother me as long as they don't cover too much, especially if it's a nice lingerie. Most of the time i would rather see them come off completely as well. But if i like the girl, im fine with anything she is wearing, unless it's covering the face in any way

It is a difficult balance. As you say a good lingerie can be sexy, but in my case, when you have such a beautiful girl a few inches away from you, you're having sex and you can only see the clothes, it's almost like watching Netflix....

Can understand that people like sex with clothes on, Japaneses are crazy about it, but if the movie doesn't have at least one scene without clothes, I don't usually watch it because it doesn't turn me on.

But hey, great that you recommend them, that's what it's all about, people with different tastes recommending different movies that are good.

I have started to test translations with artificial intelligence, and I am getting quite acceptable results...











It only works if the dialogues are clear and well pronounced, and only one person speaks at a time. If several people speak, speak in whispers, or speak between moans, it doesn't understand it.

But in the introduction scenes in one-on-one movies, where only the girl speaks, the AI manages to translate quite acceptable between 50 or 60% of the dialogues, which is very good.

You still miss phrases, but in the movies I've tried it I've managed to understand the plot and the main thread of the dialogues, so I'm happy.


The problem is that few VR players accept subtitles. HereSphere does not accept them, I had to use Virtual Home Theater on PC. I don't know if DeoVR accepts them, I have to test it.

The way to translate is simple: With AutoSub you use Google AI to convert the audio to Japanese subtitles in a standard subtitle format (SRT). And with the web DeepL (which is better than Google translator), you translate those texts from Japanese to your native language.

To translate first I have tried this solution proposed by Jppilot with AutoGenSubGui:

2. deepl.com (use Translate Files)
AutoGenSubGui generates srt file. Copy content from srt file to Word docx. Translate whole docx file via deepl. Open translated file and safe again in doc format to bypass restrict editing Detailed instruction. Create new srt file and copy content from doc file. DONE

If video have good audible speech , it is possible to get pretty good results.

It works very well and offers the best translation, but if you use files larger than 2 GB it gives a memory error.... And 99% of VR files are bigger than 2 GB...

Then I have tried autosub-0.5.7-alpha-win-x64-pyinstaller (Download), which accepts files of any size, but it works with command line, through a RUN.BAT file, and the translation it offers is the worst of all, I don't know the reason.

Now I am using PyTranscriber 1.5 (Download). It works well, with an acceptable translation, but with some videos it crashes and does not translate them.

So for the moment I haven't found the perfect solution, but at least I get to know the plots. If someone knows a better solution, please explain it, thanks!

Great work also by Moodyz VR, with spectacular face-to-face sex scenes. You really feel like you are with JULIA. Waiting the reopening of R18 to buy it.


Madonna VR has to learn from Moodyz VR how to shoot scenes with matures, placing the camera closer and wearing less clothes.

Hopefully someday we can see a VR like JULIA's, but with Maki Tomoda and Maki Hojo. We can dream...

i thought this vr title was amazing too... better than anything so far from JULIA. a lot of her previous stuff was well filmed but resolution standards nowhere near what we see in this title. I too long to see maki hojo in just 1 decent high resolution well filmed production. Would also love to see a return of Marina Shiraishi to VR.. i can only find 2 titles for her despite the fact that she still does many mainstream jav movies. PS..Julia is 35

Agree with Chryptic, Oculus Quest 2 is the easiest, most cost effective way of getting into VR, you WON'T regret it!

Just finished watching VRKM-646, pretty fun title with lots of interesting angles, and it always helps with good acting and with both actresses kissing,and drooling, I can't ask for more.

If you don't mind the cable, have a good PC, and can afford the expense, with the HP Reverb G2 you get more resolution than Quest 2 and can apply much more sharpening. It makes quite a difference.

If not, the Quest 2 is a good buy. But you'll have to set up a NAS system or be continually deleting and uploading movies to the glasses, because they have very little free space.

Whatever you choose, take the leap. It's mind-blowing.

wondering what you thought of JUVR-147?

I haven't seen it yet, and probably never will. It's the kind of Madonna VR movie I don't like.

Looking at the screenshots, it only has two scenes and In the first one they only talk, and there's a 5 minute blowjob with clothes. In the second there's 15 minutes of clothed sex, and the camera is always far away. There aren't face-to-face scenes with the camera close. The immersion seems very poor and there is very little sex.

Unfortunately, most Madonna VR VR movies are like this. A shame and a waste of beautiful matures.

A bad new for me is that Ai Mukai is now a Madonna exclusive, so no more VRs with her, or bad VRs like this one...

If you like matures, one of the best in years is NHVR-161 (download):

The image quality is mediocre, but it has a lot of different scenes, and awesome face-to-face sex scenes and full nudes. You really feel you are with Inoue Masami / Nozomi Haneda. Scenes C ad F are awesome.

I've watched it, but I don't know if I like it yet.
It's a bit weird because you have sex in everyday scenes: while she's making food, while she's brushing her teeth, washing her hair...

In my opinion this makes sex lose eroticism and becomes robotic and routine. But there are some very original and funny scenes, it's worth watching.

Unfinished VR is in a state of grace, it keeps releasing great titles week after week, if you like the Virtual Girlfriend experiences. I recommend URVRSP-178 (Download) with the gorgeous Kawakita Meisa. I translated the dialogues with artificial intelligence and that makes the experience much more erotic:

Great face to face scenes, and excellent immersion. Another great VR movie from Unfinished VR. I want to buy it to support them, but R18.com is still closed...

Thanks. When I do get them, I'll most likely get something like what you recommend, as I prefer the higher resolution and don't mind the cable.

I've been considering VR for gaming for awhile now. My main reticance with porn is that I'm not wild about PoV, as I find the single static camera to be too restrictive. All VR is pretty much PoV from what I can tell.

Yes, porn VR is mostly POV but there are different types of scenes and experiences. After all, in real life everything is POV.... And there are orgies and trios with non-pov scenes.

I don't know if you've ever tried porn VR, but the fact that everything is life-size and 3D makes you feel like you're inside the movie, and that's enhanced with POV. You really feel like you're making love with those girls, you're not passively watching an ugly actor.

At least you have to try it, it's a feeling that until you try it you can't imagine what it's like. Being with all these beautiful women life-size and just inches away from you, it makes your head explode.... and other things....

Great to see somebody look into subs too. Couple of months ago i played around with autosub/pytranscriber too, and I managed to get decent subtitles but i stopped after i was aware that there was no player able to display them correctly.
Pigasus does support subtitles but they werent displayed correctly. Same for Skybox. Havent tried Virtual Home Theater yet, does it correctly display the subs for 3D-VR180SBS videos? If thats the case i would really like to see how its implemented and give the developer from HereSphere a hint (he just gave the information that he will implement subtitles in the next update). Once Heresphere supports subtitles i will start generating subtitles too. Due to the amount of files i will look into a CLI(command line interface)-tool because you can do batch processing on the files.

I remember there were some issues with the newest Pytrancriber 1.5 so i had to use version 1.4. Maybe its helping with your crashing too.
Basically these tools are very similar at least for the transcribing engine. They all use autosub which does use Google-SpeechToText. If you search for autosub here on Akiba you will find a couple of threads with people using that tool with varying success. Most people switched to translating hard-coded chinese sub to english (it seems that they are manually translated thus having a much better quality. Unfortunately there arent any VR subs, so we have to stick with machine translating. Fortunately audio quality is much better in VR videos due to the nature of the videos being POV thus in general giving better results.

In general i recommend extracting the audio from the videos and most likely it will solve your crashing issue because file sizes of just the audio are a lot smaller. You can use command line tool ffmpeg or a GUI tool like Audacity,
I also would recommend to use DeepL for translating as Google Translation is a lot worse. Also i would keep the japanese files as well. My workflow was transcribing the extracted audio from the video with pytranscriber and translate it in a seperate process with a selenium script using DeepL.

I would recommend Quest 2, too especially due to convenience (you can watch on the sofa, on the bed) and for gaming its nice not to have a cable and being able to play a quick round without having to setup the computer.

Whatever setup you use i definitely recommend to use HereSphere (theres a Quest app and a SteamVR app) and set up a XBVR for streaming/organing your content (either on your pc or ideally on your NAS).

I want to buy it to support them, but R18.com is still closed...

I am wondering if r18.com is ever gonna come back
Btw. i remember that you asked a while ago: There is a way to download the videos from r18.com. You have to search for youtube-dl or google for HLS downloader as Firefox/chrome plugin. The only drawback is that r18 only streams in 3840x1920 so thats the highest quality available (usual resolution is 4096x2048)



As for JAV my current recommendation would be VRKM-654

You can definitely see its directed by Yazawa Receive, as it resembles a lot with last years nice SOD movies (i.e. 3DSVR-1051)

Havent tried Virtual Home Theater yet, does it correctly display the subs for 3D-VR180SBS videos?

Yes, with Virtual Home Theater (Steam version) you can see the subtitles in VR perfectly. But you have to adjust them because they are too small and too low by default.

You have the option to adjust the height, size and depth of the subtitles. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to focus because the image is in 3D and the text is flat, but it works.

I hope HereSphere will add captions soon. It would be nice to add an option for the subtitles to stay fixed to the headset and not to the video, because in VR you move the head a lot. I already told this to the developer.

I'm currently using PyTranscriber 1.5 to convert the audio to an SRT subtitle file with Japanese text, and I use Deepl's website to translate to my native language. To avoid Deepl's 5,000 character limit, I manually copy and paste the Japanese text and split it into chunks if necessary. It takes longer but it works, and since I'm only translating my favorite titles, it's not a lot of work.

Since PyTranscriber 1.5 crashes quite a few videos, I've tried with version 1.4 and some more videos work, but not all. I will try to separate the audio.

As you say luckily in most VR movies only one person speaks and has the microphones close to the mouth, so it is well understood and the translation is pretty decent. It translates 50 or 60% of the audio well, enough to understand the plot and the meaning of the dialogues.

The translation has changed the way I watch JAV VR movies, before I didn't download the scenes where they only talked, but now some of them are quite erotic and get you into the mood of what happens in the sex scenes. And understanding the "dirty" phrases the girls say in the sex scenes also makes them much hotter....

And I'm also learning more words in Japanese....

I have never used DMM. As you say they only let residents in Japan buy, and I don't want to use a paid VPN just to use DMM. And with a free VPN I don't trust using a credit card through it.

I hope R18 will be back soon.... Now I buy everything that comes out (which is little) on A Festa VR.

Looking at S1 NO1 Style catalog, i found SIVR-211 with Konan Koyori. I can't believe i missed that one. She has an incredible body, beautiful face, and delivers a great performance.

S1 NO1 Style has a lot of exclusive girls that doesn't film in VR...

The problem with exclusives is what you comment, that there are actresses who have very few movies in VR.

An example is Yoshioka Hiyori, who in 4 or 5 years that she worked exclusively for S1 only filmed 2 or 3 VR. But now that she is no longer exclusive, she has shot 10 or 12 VRs in just 3 or 4 months.... (maybe too much...

For me, it's a tragedy that Maki Hojo and Maki Tomoda are exclusive to Madonna VR, because they have only shot 2 or 3 VRs, and they are really bad.

And on top of that one of my favorite actresses, Ai Mukai, has also signed an exclusive with Madonna, so we can forget about good VRs with her...

It also really hurts that Prestige stopped releasing VRs.... It has many exclusive girls, like that goddess named Remu Suzumori....

I hope Prestige returns soon to VR, I miss its titles so much. And they are always among the best sellers on A Festa VR, even if Prestige hasn't released any VR for more than a year... That title of the photo is actually Number 6 at the Top Sellers of A Festa VR...
