It's not like you can go to a random office and just show in your cv : I'm a handjob pro but I prefer facesitting ....
Since I read abt Ai Uehara retirement I was thinking on that

*wish she come back and do a proper lesbian video with Yui Hatano

They all move to Shimane Prefecture. There's a retirement community for AV stars there.

Actually, I'm really curious as to what really famous AV stars do after they retire. Do they remain in Tokyo? I'm sure some simply get married and become regular people, but others do remain in the industry. Hitomi Hayasaka ran/runs a hostess club of some sort. Others attempt (and more often than not fail) to have mainstream careers.

As lolgirl wrote, the big issue for future employment is a resume with a huge blank. In Ai Uehara's case, she'd have this suspicious 5 year gap though someone her age can simply play it off as being a NEET.

maybe they started their own bussiness, enjoying life, have serious relationship, get married, raising children, or still working in the industry as makeup artist, talent scout, ecc

some of them work in hostess club, soapland, escort, ecc

.

some try to go main stream (Maria Ozawa, Sora Aoi, what Anri Okita is trying now), some travel the world, or get married and live a normal life, and some stay in the sex industry. Also i think the ones at the top can't really hide there past if they tried, it's easier to find out for them then the more obscure ones who might go years before being discovered

people still know and alert about Maria Ozawa, Sora Aoi many years after their retirement, I think it will happen to Ai Uehara too

very difficult for her to hide her AV past, a lot of peoples (especially males) will notice her in restaurant, shopping mall or street when they meet her

i don't think Ai wants to do that, seems like she's doing the disappearing retirement, she hasn't tweeted or blogged in over two weeks, while the likes of Maria and Sora keeps an active social media, probably going to be a long time before we hear or see her for a long time

Might I ask what do you mean by trying to be like Ran Asakawa? I am very curious about what shes done since her retirement.

totally dissapear

no interview, no public appearence, no hangout with other ex JAV actress

I'm very curious if big event like AV Open would like to give her some awards, will she come to the show, Ryoko Mitake and some other veteran has shown

So, what happend to not-so-famous/average actresses who has no fame like Maria Ozawa/Sora Aoi/Ai Uehara?

Can they apply a job hoping her coworker would not find out her past or they will blackmailed her (sounds like a Jav theme)
If they go mainstream carrer, they will have less follower.

Once an actress takes the super famous route like the 3 keanurefresh listed, they pretty much have took the big plunge into knowingly not taking on any 'normal' jobs after they retire. I doubt any of those three have aspirations to do something normal (at least in Japan).
