I couldn't believe I'd missed that when I found out yesterday.

I'd wondered about her not being active, but didn't fear retirement the way I would with most, as her release schedule was so frequent, I thought she was all in on her jav career.

Hope she ends up coming back. So much she left undone, someone had sworn she'd shot an IR title, will now always wish for it.

When she went to Hong Kong, she took a photo of her boarding pass without censoring her name and posted it as an Instagram story.
Eagle eyed fans saw the name OHTA ERINA on the pass.

She showed her real name to the whole world.

I don't know how I missed the fact that she retired due to this incident lol. I browsed her instagram few weeks ago and I didn't see her message. Another case of too much social media is a bad thing. Unfortunately, always posting what you do leads to that kind of situations.

It's also a form of exposure. Actually, I see more and more AV idols getting on Instagram. Especially those who can speak English.

its global trend, its very common for young people for active on social media

its ok if they want to be active on social media, talking with fans, sharing what they doing and what they like, ecc ... but they must ready to accept the
consequences

like darksider posted, active on social media means leaving a lot of traces for peoples to track about their private life, real name, home, family, friends, ecc

You are right, it's a form of exposure, and to sell movies, it helps because they can gather a community. Still, you can keep your private travels for yourself and not share it on social media. I have a feeling that nowadays, it's not even exposure, it's over exposure.

Kitano Nozomi got her (former ) school name revealed and I think it's what made her stop makeing movies (at least, no more releases after that leak). And she didn't even share personal infos (I think). There are some crazy dudes (same for kpop, jpop and also anywhere in the world I guess) spending their free time tracking data to find where the girls live, what are their real names etc...

Sayuki Kanno made a post on social media (I believe on Twitter) that she tried to make a return but decided not to. This was back in 2016. I doubt she would make a 2nd attempt at a comeback anytime soon unless she has personal issues like addiction. Some actresses only release videos to fuel their drug needs. The latest example I can remember is Nozomi Aso and now she's in huge trouble after getting busted again but this time her real identity was broadcasted on the news for possession and intent to deal. It's better to know Sayuki Kanno won't return if the cost is to know she's got her life in check.
