Well guys, the time's come for me to change into a full fledged citizen of this country US and A. you guys probably don't know me too well or at all, since i rarely talk in the forum, but yeah, i'll just speak mindlessly for now.

Turning 18 in a week..hmmm i'm pretty young eh? but hey, i could go to jail now. looking deeper in depth, turning 18 really has more downs than ups. Theres nothing i couldnt do when i was 17; hell i could go to strip bars if i wanted to. But now, there's that "jail" thing, and now i people can legally call me a pedophile (im not, i swear damit)

people, list me some reasons why being 18 is better than the ages below it :]

The best thing about turning 18 is that you are 1 year closer to becoming 21. You can legally buy cigarettes as well, if that's your thing.

It's better because :

- People call you Mister now.
- You can buy porn.
- You can drink alcohol.
- You can have a credit card.
- Etc...

you will feel like a king when you're 18 but when you turn 19 you'll be feeling like an old man :<

lol i dont mind the mister part
BUY porn? :P
too bad the drinking age is 21 here :P but hey, that doesnt stop anything :lols:

lol yep. big day two days from here. gotta get ready to barge into some strip bars

i really don't see the difference between any of the teen years, whether its 13 16 or even 18, i just doesn't feel like it makes any difference except maybe u get ur driving licence, and are about to get the hell outa high school and are getting ready for prom.
the only age worth looking forward to or reminessing about would be 21....but than again this is just my impression

When i dinged 18, it was the goddamn army for me. I got out a month ago and boy do i feel good having no job.

18, responsibilities. Voting? Drivers licence? Taxation(never actually paid them myself before). Spam from police.

Thinking about it now, i should have stayed 17. Too late now being 20 tho.

25 is kind of in the middle for me. It's way past your high school years but not yet at that age where you settle down. Of course when I'm 50, 25 will be part of my youth.

It's true; in the grand scheme of things 25 isn't old. but when I find myself checking out 16 year old girls, then I feel old. :wait:

Pff, screw casino's, waste of time. Get yourself a working-holiday visa and c'mon over. Err... then again, just re-read your post... I don't think yankee's can get working-holiday visas.

So go to the casino, win some money, put yourself through university and THEN come to Japan!

ha-ha they changed the drinking age a week after i turned 18 (drinking age is now 20) yea being 18 dosent mean anything anymore

Yea life as a 18 year old isn't that interesting. You get more responsibility than ever. You're no longer a child whom can depend on your parents 100%.
