I just received some really bad news from a member of a other forum I post on, it looks like Miss Saori Hara has " its hard for me to type this" quit!mg:

Before you read the following news, take a deep breath.

As you knew, Saori is one of the casts in the HK latest 3D erotic film 肉蒲團. Last nite, the HK media reported that due to the Japan's earthquake, Saori was affected. Her heath and her mind is in the worst shape currently. And becoz of this, Saori already cancelled her contract with her agency last month, and decided to quit.

This news is not yet confirmed. But based on the recent updates regarding Saori, it did show some signs that she is not OK currently.

First of all, Saori's suppose to fly to HK today, and will be attending the premier show of the HK 1st 3D Porn film on 13/4. But her agency cancelled the trip last nite. They said that Saori will not be able to attend the premier.

Saori used to update her blog and twitter regularly. But since 9 March (also after earthquake and tsunami on 11 March), she has stopped updating her blog and twitter completely. There was an announcement in her blog on 15/3. But most likely, that's not written by herself.

Meanwhile, from Japan's biggest board 2ch, the japanese fans claimed that Saori's agency already stopped her work schedule since 9 March.

Here's my opinion. Saori's retirement is not yet confirmed at this moment. But one thing for sure, based on those signs, something bad might happened to Saori and we don't know what it is.

The producer company of the HK 3D porn film received the letter from Saori's agency AEG, explaining that why Saori can not attend the premier and the upcoming promotion event.

I managed to get the scan of the letter. I cannot verify whether this is true or fake. But since the letter was announced to the public medias, by the HK film company itself, I don't think they would take the risk to create a fake announcement to deceive the audiences. So most likely, this letter is true.

From the letter itself, it tells us that Saori was sick on 10 March. After the earhquake and tsunami, Saori's health condition became worse, which making her collapsed. Becoz Saori's condition (body and mind) is not stable, she decided to cancel her contract with AEG on 30/3, through the lawyer.

Is it the end of Saori's AV career? We have no idea at all.

Will update the news once I discover more.

I have to read Sir uk21's latest post twice, word by word, sentence by sentence to try to soak all the inconceivable "bad" news in regarding the uncertainty of Miss Saori's status (health, career, etc.).

At the moment, I understand how Sir uk21 feel about the whole deal. For the time being, I will wait for more official news from SOD and other credible news agencies before I make my final remarks on Miss Saori.

With the news posted from Sir uk21, I have a few comments/questions I would like to share it with all of you:

1/ Currently, Is anyone know for sure her whereabouts, her health status?

2/ If she had quit, for whatever reasons, is that on her own terms?

3/ Since we know that she is one of the casts in the 3D Sex & Zen Extreme Ecstasy, Is there any pressure from this company to make her quit the AV business?

I'm so sorry, uk21. I can't imagine how you feel right now. I hope you aren't feeling too awful.

This is terrible news. She really is/was one of JAVs brightest stars.

The only comment I can make is that she may just be really flustered right now and just can't muster the the energy to work. Its no secret she took meds for anxiety and that the disaster probably had an effect on her. The language used in the letter, "her body and mind is not stable", strengthens my belief that she was just overwhelmed by the recent tragedy.

Lets also not confuse "quit the business" with "ended her contract." If she has only ended her contract, she may just be taking an extended hiatus. There's a lot of reasons why she would end her contract. Maybe they wouldn't allow her the time off she needed. This is something that is still unclear from where I'm sitting, so the situation may be subject to change.

Also, as someone who has dealt with anxiety issues myself, I can say that it's not uncommon for a person with that condition to make very rash decisions under stress. I can also say that it may take months for her to readjust and get back to normal. She's currently doing the right things, though. Shes spending time with her family and not thinking about work.

Rest assured, Mr UK21, this is not the last you will hear of Miss Saori. icsaigon has hit the nail on the head:

Until now, her agency AEG is still negotiating with Saori's lawyer. FYI, Saori never appeared and confront her agency. All those contract termination procedure was done by her lawyer. AEG has not given up yet and they are still trying to contact Saori and seek for the truth behind this termination.

Thanks to SHA for the latest development news and comments regarding Miss Saori's status.

1/ I strongly suggest that Sir uk21 should continue posting any news on Saori in order for SHA to have a chance to dissect every issue until we know the whole truth about her episode (contract, quitting, dispute, etc.).

By closely following and analyzing the latest developments on her status, this shall give the SHA a chance to fully support her.

2/ There is no need for Sir uk21 to feel any sorry for your sincere expressing concerns on Miss Saori's current situations. Your feelings/comments toward the whole issue have been a positive outlet to iron out every conceivable ideas in which the SHA is capable of dealing with.

3/ Miss Saori is a talented, beautiful and well-rounded individual. Therefore, seeing the comment from the 3D Sex & Zen's director saying that her international career might be over because she won't be able to attend the premier show due to whatever reasons is absolutely a nonsense remark.

4/ For the time being, all I could hope and would pray for her to fully recovery from the terrible impact of earthquake. The other things (contract, career, dispute, etc.) is definitely not important if she does not have her physical and mental health back.

Well, I'm not an expert but my understanding is that "nervous breakdown" is somewhat of a broad term. It doesn't necessarily mean that a person has temporarily lost their mind, It may just mean they have responded to an event by slipping into a big slump. I'm guessing in Saori's case it would refer to a increase in symptoms of depression or anxiety. This is depressing news if true, but, since she already is taking meds for anxiety, she is probably taking the proper steps to work through it. Without more info, its impossible to tell the extent of her condition. For all we know, she may just be exhausted.

I'm wondering now about any mental health stigmas that may exist in Japan. Maybe some Japanese companies don't plan for people needing time off to deal with a mental health problem? Maybe SOD just has no idea how to handle the situation.

Its been a few days since the site has been down..I hope you are all fine my friends???

I am quite down myself..:notagain:..as I been looking around for info..( I know what you said Sir lowleg26 about looking for info, I just could not help myself)

we all know now that miss Saori is going to quit AV..but we all thought she would do mainstream films tv...

Well somebody said the same thing on a other forum, and somebody translated the last part of the the letter from AEG..In that letter by AEG, it mentioned that Saori not only would retired from JAV, she also decided to leave the Japanese mainstream business entirely.:miserable:

This just sounds a bit strange..especially when Yukiko Suo say's

she did not have any thought of retirement. Instead she would like to help people in need with her fame.

And then after that letter came out AEG said they have not got a clue were she is???

I just hope we get some concrete info soon..But if its true...posting that last video..it will just be a sad day for me.:rainyday:
