Update: @Zhonda made a great suggestion about renaming the thread and so I did:centil:
It's the same as before. Free to post as before. Remain civil please.
You can like/don't like this specific theme of JAVs or movies/shows.

The original topic can still be talked about as well:)

It seems JAV had travel to the future and knew this was going to happen over 15 years ago:D
Or simply adapt this ongoing issue in Japan society to their storylines.

I make light of this here and I apologize but....

If you hear what the Japanese PM said and read all the articles of the recent decline before and now...it seems like a scary future for Japan.

I've said it before and I might be wrong. But given the low percentage of new male porn actors, it just seems like the males over there don't want to have sex. Again I might be wrong.
But I do know they seem to like anime and videogames a lot more than dating and having sex.

If and when Japan start accepting outside help. I will be the first to sign up:p

That have been going on for years. It's crazy they never admit the problem is their women with too many high demands, access to your whole salary and crazy over time work hours. No one is going to work half to dead and still need to do all the work on a date to please some gold digging girl.

And you know this for a fact? Or you just pulling it because you can't get a woman? Strange how your first overreaction is to blame women and of course you never bothered to read the article.

Do some research on your own before you get personal as that will be pointless to further discuss about the problem.
This was back in 2016 https://ca.news.yahoo.com/countdown-clock-indicates-when-japanese-people-182450454.html

There's also many youtube videos made by Japanese guys on why their birth rates are down

I know you incels like to give one sided views to makes it seem like you're the victims but try to remember a woman actually gave birth to you, unfortunately.

Saw that coming like 100 miles away. Next time don't even bother to open a post if you can't discuss like a reasonable human being. Don't even reply either, won't waste more time on you.

Going back to OP's first post, this is the huge contrast between Japanese and American film entertainment.

For the Japanese, this fertility issue is the genesis of bizarre AV plots involving titillating r*** enabling based shows.

For the Americans, this fertility issue is the genesis of mainstream TV plots involving religious patriarchy and feminism based shows.

The Handmaid's Tale is an American dystopian television series created by Bruce Miller, based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Canadian author Margaret Atwood. The series was ordered by the streaming service Hulu as a straight-to-series order of 10 episodes, for which production began in late 2016. The plot features a dystopia following a Second American Civil War wherein a theonomic, totalitarian society subjects fertile women, called "Handmaids", to child-bearing slavery.[5][6]

Thank goodness someone gets what this thread was about:rolleyes:
I will say sci-fi did predict some things, small communication devices are cell phones i.e. Trek and Star Wars.
Smart robots AI HAL, Doctor Who, and just about every sci-fi shows/movies.
And flying cars. Basically regular car drivers hahaha

But JAV and their movies of low birthrates or decline is interesting. Its clearly an important issue over there but not so much in av.
Most of the time its nothing but an excuse to r*** and do inc*e*sT in JAV.
Of those titles, I think the lolita one is lighter one and not r***y. Just creepy old guys with young girls.
Strangely, for a movie about trying to help the declining bithrate...why are the guys so old:p

Anyways, I asked the mods to delete this thread, if they choose too. I am afraid some will take this thread way too personal and try to make it about some type of agenda.

I read a magazine article (in an english language magazine) about this topic close to 10 years ago and if I can remember it correctly it talked about how a lot of younger Japanese people were just not interested in long term relationships / marriage / having children. People were still dating of course (and having sex), they just didn't want the responsibility of children, or loosing their personal freedom as a result of marriage.

I read there's a renter service where you can rent a man or woman. I don't know if I am saying it right.
But I remember reading a college woman used the service to have a guy pose as her boyfriend.
She didn't want marriage but was too embarrass to appear without a man when visiting her family.

That service is also used for people just looking for companionship, but nothing more, it's strictly prohibited and the payee has to agree to the terms. a

And in another story, one of the "renters" used it to have someone to attend a funeral with them. They did not want to be alone.
I hear such services is in many countries. So not only Japan.

I'm going to be contradictory and say that while a first world country like Japan can and should worry about declining birth rates, its something that would be desirable in large parts of the world, in most poor nations etc. The world is becoming a very hard place and its getting worse with income inequality and climate change and these hit the poor countries hardest.

As to why are people not dating/marrying, much of it is social media, feminism (not feminism as it was originally, i.e. to empower women, but as its used now) and the fact that women in developed countries no longer feel they need to marry to progress in life.

I get it. And I feel what you said is all true.
But even your poorest countries see birth as a passage of life or something like that. It's a generational thing for many. Even in the poorest of nations. I doubt climate change or income inequality will stop it.
It hasn't yet.

This in part, and as @composite and @SpaceNeko said, there are many reasons.

Whatever the case, if the Japanese PM is still addressing the topic in 2023, then it's a serious issue for Japan.

While it's a serious issue, I think this is a solvable one. This won't be a real long term problem in my opinion. All creatures, including humans, want to procreate. The problem has been the incentives and disincentives. Countries like Japan, Korea, etc. will eventually create enough incentives to realign the balance to grow the population.

If they had to, the government would simply pay child-bearing parents to have kids and/or offer generous immigration, especially, to educated people, or a combination of both.

I'm not a politician but it seems like this issue has been going on in Japan for a very long time.
I'm not sure money will solve all of it, but it's a start when raising kids. Its one of the reasons I haven't start a family. And also I'm selfish too:D

And I'm not a therapist. But I could use one:rolleyes:
Anyways, it's been known for decades that Japan has a porn problem and technology seemed to have increased that problem.

And I am not a manga, cartoonist, animation artist either. But this article say how this topic affects anime too.

I guess with america and their gun violence, I would take porn problems over that hahaa
*Please note* This is a light discussion. Nothing to get offended about.
Japan like many countries has it's issues.
Hopefully they and other countries can solve their problems.:hi:

Think about it like this: that porn and manga addiction is why JAV has such phenomenal content compared with other countries...

These are merely articles for thought and somewhat entertainment.
I can't judge Japan or any country. As I said that's not the intend here.
If Japan has a sex addiction problem it is something for themselves.

As too what you said. Yes:)
But also remember, Japan laws has also fuel their more creative side for decades to get around certain laws. If not for those laws, Japan porn might not be as creative as it is.

totally agreed. happening allover the world.
Japan like many countries has it's issues.
true, 50% decline in fertility rate globally.

Economy is the central factor. on other hand the modern culture/technology.
Age of woman [20-25 perfect] is important to fertile & giving birth. higher the age, chance of pregnancy will be low. but mostly marriages delayed for higher education, career/financial development. even after marriage they postponing the pregnancy is terrible.
besides, higher literacy, urbanization & occupation are the affecting factors of birth rate.
also, japan has highest population of elderly citizens is painful.
