I was gonna write about the "withdrawal website" and/or the "two sides" (HOW RIDICULOUS) of the girls and the industry. But ... everyone is missing the (possible) shocker.

https://japan.cnet.com/article/35115056/

DMM will cease to carry adult material come March 1st to focus on other areas such as English coaching and 3D printing. A new sister company Digital Commerce will inherit all current adult contents of DMM.
Rumour is that this is the first step to legitimize the DMM name and get it listed but the PR person deny the claim.

This might be the beginning of the end.

DMM has always been a legit business that also do adult, making adult on the same level as say Walmart or Barnes and Noble or HVM. Now if DMM splitting off adult business is some kind of social/moral angle (instead of say adult is losing money so sell the unit for pure finance) then it's signalling the society is really changing. Combine with all the minor news (e.g. eliminating mixed bathing onsen) from last year... Then what's the trend? Perhaps withing 1-2 years Amazon will also quit AV (but keep gravue?) then what? Yahoo Japan will also quit adult? What else, Twitter? Instagram? These are all important platform for promoting AV, especially AV idols (especially their non-porn video business).

IF it does really develop along this direction then the JAV Armageddon that I kinda mention before is closer to reality. We might have AV can not show the pussy and penis (even with mosaic), so basically you can have gravue/IV and pink films but nothing like AV we have now.

Ding, I think you are overreacting. I think DMM is making a wrong move, since their brand is so well known and associated with AV.
But if this bring more people into the physical stores in Japan - I'm okay with it.

It's not like Hokuto CA is totally divorcing themselves from their adult entertainment division. They are just rebranding it with the official explanation that they want the DMM name to reach it's full potential.

Perhaps Inertia might like to share his thoughts in regards to if there are any political motive behind the rebranding.

Anyone have news on the Minimamu (aka MUM) studio? Last release was in September 2017 with MUM-335.

The TW blogger have info from a insider contact of a certain agency that they have a influx of willing recruits as of recent despite the crackdown.

But he also acknowledge the existence of the "AV Human Rights" website and come to the same conclusion that the agencies needs to put more effort into profiling each recruit before officially employing them to ensure they are worthwhile investments.

did people seriously think the crackdown would stop girls from joining? just like with the sex trade, crack it down as much as you want but there will always be people around willing to fuck for money

Hence the tightening measure by skewing certain contractual clauses in favor of the girls, making the agencies think twice to minimise any potential losses.

we've gone on with this topic for a while no, we should leave it for a bit until something big happens, and not point out every little thing like "a lot of girls are still interested in joining"

won't be surprise in the next 10-15 years less japanese girls will join JAV as performers, but this doesn't mean they will stop get fuck on screen for money, they will be replace by girls who looks more like chinese, korean or brazilian or immigrants from ex soviet contries, south east asia and africa

https://twitter.com/ayaaya_miyazaki?lang=ja - The banner on Aya's twitter is of them together and they have recently shot a dvd together.
So I think they are together.
I didnt even know her twitter but based on this they are definitely dating they are with each other like 24/7. I've never been a fan of Shina Sora she is too tomboyish for me but man am I jealous of her lol shes managed to convert 2 of my fav jav idols Eririka and now Aya to lesbianism.

Wait, amatsuka moe won the best actress. It's an odd choice. I was expecting a veteran or someone with more noise and better sells and less of a petite body. Usually, petite girls doesn't win the big ones after newcomer rookie awards. I guess yui, hibiki, aiki, yua, shoko, etc all won before for the adult broadcasting and dmm respectively. Yua is in Korea now. I just remember rio won in 08 after she rebrand herself after her name change and surgery.

Kirara lack leadership skill and I'm sure she hates Mikami.

Quite the opposite infact -https://twitter.com/asukakiraran/status/961653490543046656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fs9e.github.io%2Fiframe%2Ftwitter.min.html%23961653490543046656
