According persons in the know, Hana Nonoka was waiting for some legal clarity from a similar case: Asuka Hoshino ほしのあすか suing 青木亮 boss of her former agency. Now that DMM etc is removing Hana's vids, it seems Hana is pressing ahead with her case, which further implies that Asuka's case is moving in the direction in favor of the actress. The defendant of Asuka's law suit is also the current agency for Yua Mikami.

This development may encourage more current and former idols to press legal action against the agencies.

If you ask, how does removing vids from e-tailers like DMM, Amazon and SOD help anyone's legal position? Well that's a great question and no one has a good answer. Earlier SOD's boss was asked about the removal of another idol's vids during a case, his answer was very sheepish: "others [DMM etc] did it, so we do the same thing."

They just do not want to stick out and be a huge target to take the blame for not doing their part in what is considered right for the community if and when things went south.

Then again, I can see an argument being made that "they removed the videos because they knew it was wrong to keep them available for sale". So the removal of the videos demonstrates their culpability.

But if they don't remove the videos, that could cause even more problems. So they're damned if they do, damned if they don't.

The studios is currently facing manpower shortage in the area of filming crews and staff.

The suitation is so bad that some of the crew members had choose to sleep in at the studio after filming had wrap for the day in order to get everything on scheduel for the next round of filming. Some of them don't even get to see home for a week.

That will explain why the studios don't dare to put a specific release date for quite a few titles of late. It's not know if this is a fallout from the ongoing fiasco which drives people to mass quit in order to distance themselves but given that this is a recent development, it will suggest so.

And how do some agencies attempt to clear themselves of any wrongdoings they have been implicated in ? Like many actresss, the management took the easy way out and simply change the name.

For favors, the management can also reassign people to different department and even have a new address for the office. And there you have it, a new agency is form. And they also get tax rebate from the government being a new company and all. One only have to look at the history of Julian and Aoi to see the evidence which they kept the persona name under different managment.

True that some polite gesture have less than altrustic reasonings behind them. But you cannot deny the gesture itself.

I wonder if its true that Hana Nonoka and other ex actresses are submit this case to court, and if they loose the case, would dmm and other sites recover all the contents ?

Aoi Tsukasa had issued an apology for her disengagement from fan interaction for the first half of this year on the official Twitter account of her agency without going into too much details as well as giving thanks to her fans for the continuous support :-

2017-7-9: Idols' Halo isn't omnipotent, AKB48 member Miu Sanae 紗凪美羽 career sliding

With ex-AKB48 Yua Mikami topping the AV charts, ex-NMB48 岡田梨紗子enjoying a buzz as hot AV debutante Miko Matsuda 松田美子, and the industry still remember past AKB-to-AV successes like Riko Yamaguchi やまぐちりこ and Risa Tachibana 橘梨紗, it seems AKB and related groups are the goose that lay AV golden eggs.

[bonus gossip: after retiring from AV in 2013, Risa Tachibana was exposed by the media to be working as a prostitute in 2016. ]

Not quite, we notice two ex-AKB member who are not doing so well now.

First we have Haruna Aisaka 逢坂はるな disappearing (see earlier report below), actually her case is a bit of a shame. Some people blame all her difficulty on that debut vid [TEK-052, all the way back in 2013] seems that vid left such a bad impression that she still can't shake the reputation as a "landmine".

Second, we have Miu Sanae 紗凪美羽. As seen in MDYM-271 三つ指尽いてお出迎え！緊急爆買い外国人対策！ジャパニーズ流の中出し風俗でお・も・て・な・し（ハート）　みう (release date 2017/08/25), Miu had been unceremoniously demoted from Maxing's contract idol to un-credited [I call them fake amateur or anonymous idol] project [or planning] performer for a mid-rank studio.

The studio seems to think her AKB idol-ing history to be pretty worthless and focus the marketing pitch at the creampie angle. That's rather low, for a still-fresh face (only 4 vids released so far).

The way it looks, Miu Sanae's career is unlikely to rise again.

What does a 'landmine' mean up there?

I was too lazy and only transliterated the Chinese word, I think it's a figurative phrase to mean a DVD that turns out to be a total disappointment (compared to the cover), for example, I've heard that some Muteki vids to lack any sex scene.

It could even be double-figurative-speech. As I have heard "landmine" to mean dog poop on the street waiting for careless pedestrians to step on. That's pretty apt for a particularly bad debut vid by a high-profile ex-AKB idol.

Well I am not a loli fan. The typical JAV loli vids make me very uncomfortable (worse than futanari and gay porn, but not as bad ad scat and bestiality).

Not judging other people's taste and preferences but just positioning myself for my view of Shuri Atomi:

As a non-fan of loli, Shuri Atomi is the one and only loli I can name, and the only loli vids (except for a couple by Aoi Shirosak, depends on if you consider her loli) I watched.

If Shuri Atomi is a loli, she's a very unique one. Her body might be petite, but she has very feminine curves. Her face (likely had plastic surgery) with make-up is at the same time super cute and super feminine. So compared to almost all other lolis, actually even compared to all other AV idols, her face is pretty to the point of unreal. Of the current AV gen, she is the only one who look more like a futuristic sex-robot from mangas than a human girl.

Most importantly, she is very very horny and sexually skillful. She is best in a multi-player situation. The fact that someone like me likes her is an explanation why she ranked so high in DMM sales chart. A "classical" loli may get huge devotion from the loli fans, but DMM sales is decided by raw numbers, put her on the cover, and you get mainstream fans like me turning heads. I'd be curious what's the peak ranking position by other current or past loli.

Edit: perhaps loli is the wrong label, Shuri might be more moe 萌. A lolicon is a sexually undeveloped child. A moe could be biologically (sexually) developed but look (with make-up) like a doll.

At the end of the day, depending on the agency, the talent could get around just 50 - 60 % of the fee paid to have her attending the modeling gig or event.

I think yui hatano, hibiki, and akiho could too since they film for more than one studios each month and is well known throughout Asia. This doesn't account for the filming promos and event fees they could potentially make outside of Japan. I could imagine there are some that could make over $2-3 million USD per year given their popularity as best seller and household name + social media following, and exposure rate.

Some devoted fan of Sora Shiina showed off all 88 of her titles in celebration of her birthday yesterday.

Proof that being and ex-idol isn't enough to gain attraction in JAV. I always said it when people brought the argument about Yua Mikami and Shoko Takahashi being ex-idol so it's normal that they are top sellers. NO. If their movies weren't good, ex-idol or not, they wouldn't sell well their new releases.

While I don't disagree with you necessarily, both Yua and Shoko were more popular in their previous careers than either of the other two; even among NMB fans I think only the most hardcore would recognize Sanae Miu. While Risa was arguably more of an unknown, she was also one of the first AKB members to do it, and at a time when AKB was at its peak rather than now, when they're arguably at a decline.

That being said both Yua and Shoko have done well to cultivate their new careers, even though personally I think Yua is a weak performer. She does a lot outside of her movies (on TV shows, twitter, etc.) to cultivate her fanbase as compared to most idols or even celebs-to-av, who usually shoot their movies but don't make appearances outside of them.
