I managed to find sivr-001 and sivr-002. Unfortunately they're pretty bad. Scaling is off - they almost look like miniatures. Still 30 fps of course. :rolleyes: Overall bad picture quality. Seriously how hard can it be to make some decent VR?!! :aghh:

SIVR-001 looks fine for me in GearVR. I had to toggle to 3DV format because I forgot to rename the file to add _3dv at the end so it would know how to play it.

The scale in VOVS-054 is a tad small (as previously mentioned). However, changing the IPD in DeoVR made a big difference, and made it perfectly watchable. The image quality itself, is pretty good (using Oculus Rift).

I would add that I don't really understand why some criticize JAV VR. I have already maybe 10 movies and the experience is really fine. Yes, it's not 360° but maybe US porn don't do 360° neither. And in image quality, I don't see a real difference neither on my Gear VR.

I can't speak for GearVR, I have only seen VR on my Vive, but the quality between western VR and JAV VR is miles apart! Perhaps GearVR simply is too far behind Vive & Oculus..?? But sure, there are still some really crappy western companies who can't seem to figure out how to make good VR, but I'd say most of the companies are light years ahead of JAV VR. Of the 30-40 JAV VRs I've managed to collect only 1 (ONE!!) is good (3DSVR-0076) and a few of the other Soft On Demands are decent but still sub par compared to western VR.

PS. Does anybody really want 360?? Personally I don't want it at all, I only look forward. ;) Plus I think the quality suffers severely because the technology is more complicated when filming in 360 (I have no knowledge whatsoever but it's what I've heard). Probably why we don't see any 360 in western VRs. There are only a handfull of them.

Unfortunately it looks bad in my Vive. I've also tried to play it in Deo VR to try to change the scale but "as always" that worthless player crash when I try to play that file.

hmm, I've never had that happen with deo. It's by far the best VR player and I've used pretty much all of them (whirlgig, virtual desktop, etc)
 
The only reason I can think of.... to go with the 360 TB, is to cover as much with the multiple girls videos that so many people in here seems to like.
I'm in the minority here. It's the type of videos I least care for.

You're using Oculus, right? That's probably why. I guess it just doesn't work well with Vive. A lot of vides crash in Deo. Besides I really don't want to use the controllers, I want to use my mouse and I want to be able to easily browse all my films. Whirligig always mess upp the ratio. The picture is distorted towards the top. The only one that works perfectly for me is virtual desktop. I just wish they had more options, suchs as IDP and perhaps tilting etc.

You can cover a lot of girls in 180 too.. ;) But until the day when can literally walk around in a virtual room and watch from all angels (probably won't happen in our lifetime :D ) I don't see the point with 360. But sure, if you can produce a picture quality equal to 180 then sure why not. :)

Thanks for all your great work guys. Im working my way through all your links, and slowly building my 3D VR jav library. I agree 3DSVR-0076 was a good step forward for SOD. Nice picture quality. I also use Skybox VR for Daydream, and all the videos look perfect so far. Yua Mikami was amazing so I dont know why people are complaining.

My early impression of JAV VR, compared to western VR, is they are very different. Im slowly getting used to the typical JAV focus more on playful voyeur experiences compared to western raw Fucking and pussy in your face experiences. I do notice that JAV has alot more closeness and I really like the way the girls lie down on you, almost hugging you. I also like the typical Japanese in-close breast worship too. The harems, I thought were strange at first, but I kinda like it. Its a bit like being on an operating table being inspected by aliens. LOL.

Hi guys, I'm new here. Searching about this topic I was able to found this forum. (btw I think I only recognize darksider59 here, hi man! :D).

I'm a PSVR user and I was having a hard time to watch some files (since I can only watch them with the LittlStar app). It seems that the GearVR formats are compatible with the LittlStar app, but I can't open the Oculus formats.
After some research and tests, finally I was able to convert some files (the resolution) to be able to watch them.

I found these next steps, those helped me a lot. I'm a noob about this topic but if anyone is in the same scenario as me, hope this can help! (copy paste from source literally xD):
Steps here:
Videos ITT are generally in one of the following three formats (in order of quality):
>OCULUS
>GEAR VR
>CARDBOARD/SMARTPHONE/MOBILE (non-Gear VR smartphones)

Higher quality files (OCULUS) are preferred as they can be converted down.

TO CONVERT OCULUS VIDEOS FOR GEAR/CARDBOARD/MOBILE:

>Download & install these two applications:
Handbrake: https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
MediaInfo: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

>Right-click video & select MEDIAINFO to see detailed properties
>Take note of BITRATE & FRAMERATE and also if framerate is CONSTANT or VARIABLE

>Launch HANDBRAKE & open the video as your SOURCE file
>Choose a DESTINATION & FILENAME for the finished product
>PICTURE TAB - SIZE - Set WIDTH to 2880 for GEAR & 1920 for MOBILE
>For VERTICALLY STACKED videos (ex. HoloGirls), set WIDTH to 2560 for GEAR & 1080 for MOBILE
>CROPPING - Select CUSTOM & set all four values to 0
>VIDEO TAB - VIDEO - Choose CONSTANT or VARIABLE framerate (keep same as source file)
>For GEAR: Set FPS to SAME AS SOURCE
>For MOBILE: Set FPS to 50 unless source FPS is lower (ex. WankzVR are 30), then choose SAME AS SOURCE
>Older phones may need this always set to 30 FPS
>QUALITY - Select AVG BITRATE & use 20000 for GEAR & 15000 for MOBILE
>If source video already has a low bitrate (ex. NA & HG are 8-15k), then add 1000 to that value (ex. 13k if source was 12k)
>Older phones may need to set this as low as 8000
>Check 2-PASS ENCODING if you want higher quality & don't mind waiting twice as long
>Click START.

Also, I have a DMM account which I bought some VR titles using a jp proxy (to watch them in the PS4 using the DMM app in a jp account). How can I help to extract the source so I can share them here? (I'm willing to share my account to a trusted user if needed D: )
