Can't read it so i guess i'm out.

Are you guys ever going to have English subtitles for your movies or am i going to have to keep arranging translations?

I tell you, it would make it so much easier for myself and the many others who are getting together to do it ourselves. I'm sure it would prove profitable too, you just need to pick the right movies that's all.

Also not being able to use .ass or .srt sub files with R Player is a bummer as i have a number of movies that i have subs for but cannot get the movies online. If i could play them on your player i would have more incentive to purchase from your website.

That will happen at some point.

You know the cost to make English translation and it is even more expensive if you have to do it legally sharing the revenue with the movie production studio that give you the rights to add subtitles to their movies. For you it may be as easy as "ask me what translation do you want". For us, we have to keep everything legal so we have to ask each maker to agree.

We have too many movies that it is impossible to subtitles them all. How would you pick up "the right movie"? Everyone like different things.

You are not being able to use sub files on R Player at this moment as this subtitles do not come from a legal source. If we make the subtitles from a legal source you will be able to use subtitles in the R Player.

For now, what it makes more sense is to subtitle the anime movies as this ones has more conversation.

Thanks for the quick response. Your answer makes sense as taking care of the arrangements with the movie studios would clearly have to be sorted. I'm sure you guys probably use professional translators who would charge a hell of a lot more than what we are being charged, even if the standard of those that we have hired is excellent and well worth the money. If you guys do eventually go into translating JAV, you would do very well to hire them.

Thanks for explaining why i can't use subs on R Player, even if it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Again i can see your point of view.

You're completely right on the picking the right movie part. It's why i did the poll as some movies were clearly more popular than others. Fortunately i have been able to form groups with enough members who have been very generous indeed. Many have donated more towards a translation than it would cost to buy the movie from your site, which shows how much value subtitles could be for a movie. Just don't go raising the price. :p

Are there any plans to improve connection speed from european countries to r18?
I really like to buy more stuff but the download speed is a pain in the ass to me and steaming doesn't work cause it lags as fuck also with low settings. I got a 100mbit/s connection at my home country so i don't think its too slow to stream properly. I've got these problems since spring 2015.

Should i blame my ISP or are the connection really that bad from europe?

sorry about bad english grammar

R18.com does use CDN (DMM.co.jp does not) so the files will be delivered from a near server.
The only time you could feel it slow is if you are the first one buying a specific movie, then you will be the first to cache the files but if someone else in EU already bought the same movie that movie will be already in a EU server.

Last time I asked about playing subtitles in R Player it was coming soon.

I must say I'm baffled by this response about "subtitles not coming from a legal source". That would only make sense if anyone actually sold legal subtitles. So if someone cares about preventing people from using random subtitles, it must mean that that someone plans to sell their own, if not it just sounds like malice. Having a subtitle lock on officially subtitled movies would be fine, for all other titles it just encourages piracy. Much like the other limitations R Player provides.

PS - Also, a nice Natural High sale on R18 until Nov 25th.

Yo! A few months ago I asked if it was possible to include more synopsis translations, only a few movies have those.

The answer was that you guys will continue doing those, but they're very time-consuming, so most releases will omit them.

That's fine, I'll accept that, but would it be possible to implement a way to specifically show only films with those descriptions. I tried searching for "Product Description", because that's what it always says above those summaries, but that doesn't really work.

The shrinking and ageing population is a serious cause for concern. If we can encourage girls to understand the beauty of "creampies" and "pregnancy fetishes", maybe it will have a positive effect on population growth... As the forerunner for a nationwide campaign, one school introduces intravaginal ejaculation into its curriculum. (Once a girl is chosen to be on pregnancy duty, she is penetrated without warning or foreplay.) She gets fucked by the teachers and students, and local adults who have never cum inside a woman before. (Real semen, Suzu Ichinose 's retirement feature.)

"Thank you for the nomination!" Today's queen is no other than Yuma Asami !! Can you believe it? Head right over to the brothel of dreams where this amazing woman will make you cum buckets!! From Soaplands to image clubs, all the way to SM clubs! A full course hitting you from 9 corners of the sex industry!!

http://www.r18.com/videos/vod/movie...a-Hasumi/id=ddb00258/?i3_ref=search&i3_ord=29

I get horny when a pretty girl says "cock" to me. Getting my hard cock jerked violently by a pretty girl, I just want her to bring me to the brink again and again with her cunt-like grip. When I do come, I can't decide if I want her to look at my cock or my goofy face...There's simply no need to insistingly say, "I'm not some kind of pervert!" Now then, I think I'll give myself some release, listening to Kurea?Hasumi tease me with her dirty talk. Oh please fuck with my head and my cock!

http://www.r18.com/videos/vod/movie...ref=video.movies.popular&i3_ref=list&i3_ord=7

Yu Kawakami snaps at cocks with her meaty lips dolled up with dirty rouge. Dirty sounds resound as she freely uses all kinds of techniques when she energetically chows down on a hard cock. She is like a succubus as she uses her glistening lips and obscene tongue to suck out a man's juices. Have your fill of the vulgar eroticism that comes from this beautiful animal sucking cock.

Is dmm.co.jp online streaming part actually unblocked for international user? It used to be blocked, but for last few months I can access dmm.co.jp streaming section and watch demo. Can I just directly create an account in dmm.co.jp and buy online streaming? If I click the retail part then the international user cannot access error would come out.

I know R18.com is designed for international user but dmm.co.jp offers much cheaper price for the same AV movie, and I am in Asia so even the server is in Japan would not be a problem for me.

If you are an overseas user you should use R18.com as it provides CDN service for better streaming speed. DMM.co.jp does not has CDN as it is designed for Japan only.

Also DMM.co.jp is not cheaper. The prices are exactly the same with the exception of Monthly channels that R18.com has 100 JPY option so R18.com is cheaper for Channels and for the rest it is the same price.
If you find any product cheaper in DMM.co.jp than in R18.com let me know. That should not be possible.

Can anyone think of a good reason for dmm doing this? It makes no sense. I've been in Japan and know that they like to not allow people to do obvious things for no reason whatsoever, but I'd hope there's more to it than that. Oh well, they lose viewers which will mean a loss of advertisters.

The Japanese porn companies are very strange. I asked Ideapocket if they would allow me to use their images on my website - which is just a little fan club a few of us have set up to promote Michiru Morisaki, a new Ideapocket AV star we love. They said flatly no. I even got my question translated and then got the reply translated. Still the answer was no. However, if I signed up to the R18.com website - then I can display IP images from their as long as they are linked. Also in the EU you can embed Tweets with images without falling foul of copyright (since you're only passing on what is already out there). You can do the same with YOUTUBE.

I have always wondered why DMM block things. The way around it is though very simple. You need a proxy IP in Japan.

Nice, that works as well.

It appears that jQuery is used for some minor site functionality (I noticed "function tag_view()" and "function recent_check()") so it may have some unintended consequences, but overall I think most people wouldn't notice. It's also doable for other browsers.
Can you explain how I can do this please?

The reason for doing this is because when DMM website was created 15 years ago it wast created to be a multi language site so there are many parts of the site that cannot be edited in the automatic translated parts of the site. To avoid any problem there are parts of the site that is blocked for overseas to avoid problems as sending physical items overseas, some payment methods that are just available in Japan etc.

For the ideapocket issue i guess you did not communicate clearly in Japanese with them. Ideapocket is part of our company. If you need anything you can talk with me.
Basically the rule is: You can use any image in our site as long you dont edit it, so you cannot crop, add text to the image etc. It needs to be the image as you find in our site and with a link to our site.

okay thanks. When you say your site, do you mean R18.com or Ideapocket? R18.com are sometimes behind Ideapocket, so we've used their Tweets to put images up. But if you are allowing us to use Ideapocket images that would be fantastic. We are wanting to launch an APP in android and iphone next year. We love Michiru Morisaki so please let Ideapocket's Director's and Producers know and perhaps the lovely lady herself she has a fan club in Britain! Cheerio. PS. We obey all the image rules and never crop them or add text over them.

R18.com is part of DMM - same as Idea Pocket. It's all one big company.

I hate to sound like the 'Leave Britney Alone' guy from the last decade, but R18's owned by a pretty massive company that's been around forever.

No amount of whining on a small foreign BBS is going to convince them to update their DRM policies that a few of the studios they sell on their online marketplace request.

It's always the old companies that hang on to the old ways.
I'd rather be a member and download at their site. DRM is spyware, so I can't. But my collection is huge.
