Akiba-Online: What attracted you and what made you stay?

I'll be honest, like most people here I found AKBO while browsing for JAV but I rarely download any these days but I frequent AKBO a couple of times a day when I'm bored at home. What made me frequent AKBO is beside the handful of trolls that post here there is a decent amount of people who are sensible and can contribute to a real discussion when the times calls for it.

How about you? What do you like about AKBO that makes you keep posting here?
 
Anime and big titty idols and jav actresses is why I came to akiba online. But now I mostly download idol stuff.
 
To me it's sharing talk about japan, japanese stuff, girls, av ... beside English is not my mother tongue and probably I write like a kid :study:

I download a bit but mostly I just have a look at the releases :tea:

Good question.

I have to admit that I do not download much from here anymore. Elsewhere I am more likely to lurk or leech but here I kind of feel at home. Here I am invested. I make an effort to share, to contribute.There are a number of members I am rather fond of, including those I often disagree with. Sometimes I find the discussions interesting, even when I am not involved in them. There are always pretty girls to look at when I am in the mood for them.

I guess this place has just become a habit.

I probably originally came here searching for some old h-game I wanted at the time. I kinda forget. I mainly stayed because there is alot of stuff that is relevant to what I would look for.
 
I followed a hash-tag and found my way here. Noticed there were a lot of little otaku who lived in their mom's basement and felt it was my job to teach them what life is all about, even if it kills them.

I also enjoy the intriguing conversations that pop up every so often. The discussions on this forum generally don't have a very quick pace, so its easy to keep up with the conversations that are going on even if you've been gone for a while. While I sometimes lament that there are multi-day stretches with nothing much going on, I much prefer that to forums that go far too fast.

Its also nice that there are a lot of active members in Japan who are more than willing to answer questions for the rest of us gaijin.

I've also made quite a few friends here that I would have no other way to get in contact with. Even if I quit downloading stuff completely, I'll still wind up coming here all the time.
 
:evil: so if i get it all most of you guys do not download from here but just come to get feeds and info in the "let's call it adult devertisement industry"

I don't need JAV so much anymore, my GF more than satisfies my needs ㅋㅋㅋ I kept coming back here because of the community and mostly just hanging around the Japan forum.
 
i came here because i was getting sick of uploading things for the morons at pornbb

...and because this was the most japanese thing i could afford back then
(but now i can also buy sweets from japan; big improvement huh!)

This is pretty much cover for me too.
I like the conversation here even though it's kind slow pace.
 
I come for the food, but I stay for the legroom!
 
I'm very much intrigued by anything Japanese. I like everything, from the people, culture, geography, toys, movies and JAV models.:cool:
 
:evil: There are people here that can relate to my likes and dislikes and being here makes me feel free from the pressures of the real world. Here I can be some who is truly "ME" :harp:
