Hi, this is a 2-fold question. Why do producers still shoot in SD in 2015? And why rippers rip HD content in super small size. We now have very respectable 1080p film rips that weight barely 1gb. But on Akiba, most rip weight that and are a mere 720x405 of resolution. Strange.

that's all!
Love this site anyway.

What producers still shoot SD in 2015? As far as I know the only SD videos are very low-budget amateur titles.

The reason people favor smaller resolutions is because bandwidth and hard drive pace are not infinite. HD is nice, but if all my porn was HD I would run out of hard disk space almost immediately. Not to mention how much more time it would take to download everything. So most of my videos are SD, with a few of the ones I really like in mid-range HD (720p or so). I only think 1080p is worth it for a very tiny number of cream-of-the-crop videos. Like an uncensored video with really hot action featuring one of my all-time favorite actresses.

Where do you find 1080p film rips (I assume you mean a full 2hr title) that are barely 1GB. Most I see are at least 3.5GB.

Because most uploader doesn't know how to use mkvtoolnix or handbrake that can convert to small size without degrading the quality and resolution. All my jav collection are in HD (720p or 1080p), but with smaller size than SD video.

Can you post a sample title or example of how to accomplish this? I've use MeGUI and AviSynth scripts but never like that. I've mostly converted to 60FPS. The screenshots look great for being under a Gig. What is the bitrate?

One example of my old collection from RIO (Idea Pocket IPZ-159 720p H264/x264 180 minutes only 1,3 GB). I'm converting as small as possible :)

I think 60fps only come from uncensored video from DRP (Caribbean, 1Pondo, Heyzo, Pacopacomama, etc). I mostly download from torrent and then convert it.

I have very little experience in encoding, I remember converting Anime using Micromkv Encodes with a decent quality and small size.

However, it would be very nice have HD movie in 1 or a a couple of giga.

Yeah, if this is relatively easy to do and the results look as good as the screenshots suggest I'm interested too. The size of my jav collection exploded the lasr year due to all the huge HD files I downloaded because they at least didn't have the horrible watermarks.

Would be nice to convert the files to something smaller to free up disk space if it doesn't lose too much picture quality.

All the YIFY releases are 1080p with very light size like 1.2gb... X264. They are the most popular on torrent sites. It's not perfect but way better than 480p.
