Cool pic !

I don't have that kind of experience to share, the only interaction I had with a performer was an US actresse on Twitter lol, few years ago. Way less interesting than a pic for sure haha.

1. Look for schedule of release event (usually they announce the schedule on twitter if you follow a certain star / idol )
and just follow the mechanics. (e.g buy 1-2 dvd to get an event ticket)

2. the one i Attended was a talkshow event from Shiina Sora, So I really just had to show up at the venue and get tickets inside.
(Polaroid shooting usually is held at the end of the event you will see people queuing for it)

3. know atleast a basic japanese so it wont be hard to ask around

If I don't know much of any Japanese outside a handful of phrases, would it be doable?
I think it would still be doable, but i remember going on my first event of RaMu. I couldn't understand much that time so it was harder for me to follow instruction,
But then you can just follow what other people does so i think it will still be ok !

AV and Gravure events mostly involves photo shooting so thats where i noticed i had problem following instruction lol

But definitely doable once you are already there and have an event ticket

What are the general rules and instructions for the signings and photo shoots?

usually this involves how many cd's you buy.
single Cd usually light benefit like photo shooting and a signed cover

3 cds + they really vary what kind of benefit you get~

if you are eyeing any event send me the link i can probably try and help you understand it a bit.

-during photo shooting usually the Idol just stands in front of the platform and poses for the people
and she faces 1 person for 1 minute then faces the next one

-polaroid / photo taking together with the idol usually after the general shooting time it will be easy to understand whats happening
because people are just gonna be asked to line up anyways !

Shortly after the big 2011 quake in Japan, Mai Hagiwara moved from Tokyo to the city I live in and enrolled her kid at an English school I was working at at the time.
She was never aware that I knew who she was, so was I was unable to get a pic with her, but I managed some surreptitious shots.
