Usenet mirroring?

Wasn't sure where to put this (maybe a mod can help me out), but would there be interest in creating a usenet group (alt.binaries.akiba-online) to mirror what is being uploaded onto Akiba-Online on usenet? I'd mainly upload the JAV porn torrents, but I'm sure other people wouldn't mind uploading other material.

I guess my question is whether there is any interest and usenet subscribers out there? Sitting on Astraweb myself.

As a long-standing lurker and from time-to-time poster on usenet I think that is an interesting idea, maybe with a different group for each type of material.

Torrents need peers and seeds, so another route to getting them would be useful, and usenet would provide an alternative to the file sharing sites for direct downloads.

I can't really predict how interested people here will be in a usenet group, but I think it's pretty neat.

I've added nzb files to the allowable attachment types for convenience - though compressing with zip/rar does shrink them considerably so I guess convenience is a matter of opinion.

please do it. i have been hoping for a usenet feature/thread on akiba. usenet is much faster, much more secure than torrent and has fastest dl speed for a year.
and it's only a few dollars.

greetings, gregor

Thank you for adding .nzb to the allowed formats! As you said they shrink a lot when compressed, so it's preferred to save time and bandwidth.

I just uploaded the third JAV movie onto usenet, check out the subforum:

The [Usenet] tag is used.

I guess it'd be too much to ask at this point since I'm the only one doing this for now, but a dedicated Usenet forum would be really grand in the future!
I could also prepare a Usenet tutorial if needed to get people started. :)
