I'm not sure of admin's stance is on this, whether they want to save bandwidth or what. But I've noticed there a lot of copy-paste type posts appearing (in the downloads/torrents sections) (posts that appear on several different forums other than and including akiba-online, with the same title, same user, same text etc). Some call it spam, others call it I don't know what.
Anyway, there are two issues with this; One is that some users use external image hosts, and we all know that sooner or later these images will be removed by the host or something similar, leaving a post with no pics. There is also the issue of pop-ups etc from external image hosts.
Another issue is copy pasters, if this is an issue for admin at all. But of course I prefer seeing unique content. I'm sure by making picture attachments mandatory this would get rid of some spam.
If it's a bandwidth issue then surely we could just make attachments only viewable when logged in or something similar.
