I'm looking for an freeware and/or open source program which can download my facebook messages and store them locally, e.g. in a HTML file.
I know that fb offers a download of all your fb data. But that download - let's say it's not worth using it. The format they deliver it (also as HTML) is formatted not very nicely. And all the attachments and pictures in your messages are also missing.
The only thing I found is SocialSafe. But it's not freeware / open-source. It's also stores the data again in a proprietary format. Means you can't access it without using the program (also it seems that you can at least export the pictures as JPG). So I don't like it.
Any suggestions? :bigeyes:
