it is ONLY uploader´s decision which file hosting provider he is using for his uploads (except the banned ones of course), there is no basis for any discussion. In case you don´t like uploader´s choice just don´t download the file(s), but stop complaining about it.

Some filehosters have regional popularity, just like MU or RS for Europe, hotfile is more popular in Asia, and many uploaders ONLY chose filehosters reg. their re-payment, so there even might be money aspects, although I don´t like this at all...

I agree MU is better than HF because you don't need to wait for 30 minutes to download another thing. However, there are websites search for HF, and I can find sources I want, meanwhile I can't do the samething on MU. BTW, let's forget RS.:exhausted:

megaupload is alright for free users but hotfile is best for pay users. hotfile is becoming the new rapidshare.

honestly if you're downloading from a file services you should really pay for one. i was stubborn about it for a long time but i gave in and it's well worth it. the amount of content you can get easily makes up for the small fee. just try it even if only for a month. i guarantee you wont go back to a free user.

If you are getting something for free then you have no room to complain about what filesharing site someone uses. The best thing you can do is look for a download manager. Some do some of the captcha and some do not.

You can search MU here: 4megaupload.com

Not perfect but is pretty good...

I've found that, for now, zippyshare is a really good alternative as it (still) doesn't require the user to wait and/or put in the captcha. AND has fast DL speeds.

Removal help

Can anyone share with me a way to remove this post of mine. All I have created is rage with many of the posters, which was not the intention. My frustrations are with Hotfile & Rapidshare. BOTH of which I was a subscriber at one time or another. I apologize for posting a rant here. Thanks

There's no need to apologize if your intent was not to be polemic. It's all cool.

I uncovered the secret of why so many uploaders switched out of megaupload. It turns out megaupload has some sort of "regional lock" on many asia countries.

I once sent something to people from asia through megaupload and they were not allowed to download it =/

Megaupload and Megaporn are almost identical, Megaupload is blocking eastern IP´s, so Megaporn is blocking many European ones.

Jdownloader for ex can be used to be able to download the files anyway.

Any support for filesonic, uploading, depositfiles, easy-share, hotfile, etc., etc. really is just absurd though..

They know that the services are sub-par to say the least, it's about the compensation/reward for uploading to them..

It's like jerk off's that upload 1-9mb files to the aforementioned sites instead of something much more considerate like mediafire..

Not to mention people around here that split small videos or the like into 25-90mb parts for extra dl counts.. Some of it's just downright absurd with no "rules" or anything against it.
