Playing a Misaki Chiharu video in m4v format

I recently d/l-ed this MISAKI Chiharu 12 Y/O "Plenty of Chiharu Misaki video that someone graciously posted in the downloadable candies section. It is in m4v format and, unless I messed up, will not play with the all dependable "VLC" player. Any suggestions please? Thanks
