main question can they handle the cost for it. they did story that Russian will have to pay £33.5bn to hold winter games and its record cost. can japan handle cost that will be more then that.

Yeah, the honest truth of it is that it can be a financial ruin for a few months of tourism and the infrastructure brought to cities...

Greece can account to that as most people probably know.

most tourists will stay away, locals will leave the city, and it will be like a ghost town, there will be no local economy for the duration for the games, (that is what happened in London, Athens, Sydney,) (do not know about Beijing)

the trouble with Sochi, is that there was not anything there, so all the infrastructure has to be built including airports ,

it is estimated it will cost about 5 billion dollars, in Tokyo
