This is what I think too. It would be weird too return and work for a lesser studio.

Ho, so I'm not the only one who thinks Yua is overrated. She's not terrible and I certainly understand why she has fans. She is quite beautiful and those breasts will certainly draw the attention of many guys. But overall, she also just doesn't do it for me.
There's a reason why she never really made it big in SKE48 or the AKB48 family. She was very average in both looks and personality. Yes, very average. Homely even. Some of you might be wondering what the hell I'm talking about, but I am something of a part-time JP idol fan. Not so much anymore, but I still keep an eye on their activities and still actively support Momoiro Clover.
Plastic surgery is quite common in Japan and it certainly won't be surprising if most if not all JAV girls did a little something to their faces. C'mon, Atomi Shuri's doll-like face is imposssible in Japan. That's definitely the result of surgery. But most of us don't know what the girls look like before they entered the industry. However, Yua's look is in public record from her idol days.
Google her SKE48 profile page in jpop wikis and see for yourself. Yup...that's one talented plastic surgeon she had. I'm not going to post those pics here.
Even so, I'm not going to hold that against her. Cos even average looking girls made it big it the AKB48 group if they had personality and drive (eg. Sashihara Rino). She had little of that as well. This seems to have carried over into her JAV career too where she is also just very... average... compared to many other performers.
On top of that, she's vanilla. Just your typical JAV girl. Straightforward sex with no creampie. She does appear with other girls but so lacks in interaction that she might as well not be there. This is not a problem on its own, many popular top JAV stars are also like this (Kawakita Saika, Ishikawa Mio, Aizawa Minami, etc.) but they each also have a certain something to them that compensates for it. Yua lacks this., IMHO. She just has residual glamor from her former idol days.

It's coming up to five years since she retired. The first six months after studios were still churning out leftover material, but since then there's been nothing. Sso if there was unseen footage you'd think it'd be out by now. Although there's been quite a few videos out with old material. The cover quoted above is just a very badly distorted image used to create interest.Which means there might lots of "new" footage of current/retired actresses that's never seen or released.
I suppose that with the 5½ years date coming up, all the studios that she's worked for, will be losing their video rights, presumably on July 1, since she retired December 31, 2018, so we likely won't see even recycled material anymore then.

Uehara Ai is retired from JAV. She's started a number of businesses. I'm not sure how well they are doing. She was doing some striptease at Rockza, not sure if she's still active there but her name is still on their roster.

Yuki Hiiragi made a post about how her eyes often swell up after filming an AV because of the makeup products that they use. She said she might have to start doing her own make up. She said that AV sets aren't sanitary in general and things like this are inevitable. In regards to that I've always wondered what these sets smell like. Especially the studio they use for Knights Visual stuff. I've seen that studio used for so many non-porn photo shoots, I wonder if those models can tell that there's a weird smell or do they clean it up well enough that you would never know.
If you look at most JAV sets you see old furnitures, crack foundations, bad walls, etc. But generally it looks clean.
But I will believe a porn star when she says it's not sanitary every timne. They need to do better.
And she should know to bring her own makeup. The stuff on the sets been used by multiple people.
